I had a fantastic experience with Jason and Avid Plumbing! I had a shower head replaced, it was a small job but I had a lot of questions and a very specific shower head in mind. From the moment I reached out, Jason was incredibly responsive and helpful via email, answering all my questions and he came up with a great solution to my specific requests. The installation was fast and well done. The service techs were friendly and respectful. Jason’s professionalism and thoughtfulness made the entire process seamless. Highly recommend Avid Plumbing for any plumbing needs.

Toilet issue. Avid came out, he quickly diagnosed the problem (old toilet, calcium accretions), identified a replacement, had it delivered within 20 min, installed it and removed the old one, cleaned up and he was done! Great guy, personable and efficient. Impressed all around.

I'm very disappointed with this company. They installed a new water heater a year and a half ago, and it went out. We've had them out 2 times diagnosing problems and they never found anything wrong and we still had to pay for the service call. Then the water heater finally goes out completely and it happens to be under a 6 year warranty from the manufacturer so it is covered. Our home warranty cover up to $1000 they told me the labor was $1400 when I said I'm not paying the extra $400 the plumber said he would have my warranty company drop me because I was raising my voice and upset about the price they were trying to screw us over on. I told him to have the owner call me. He then said the owner is out of town so can't get a hold of him. Meanwhile he calls the owner and then says that the computer had the wrong prices so I don't owe anything. The plumber knows darn well what labor costs are for a 2 hours job...it's NOT $1400!! This company is a joke and they install crappy water heaters. If they get a clue they would stop installing Bradford Whites as they are junk! I'm very upset at how the plumber threatened me in my own home when I knew the price was wrong. Would NEVER recommend these guys. Not to mention they gave us a 6 hour time window for when they would arrive so my husband had to miss out on work and pay because of this. The company is a joke and has no regard for anyone but themselves and scamming people!
*** edited to add that 3 days later the plumber's wife is slandering my business on a facebook post. This is so unprofessional that this company would hire these types of people and STILL no one has actually called me regarding the situation. I plan to seek counsel as this is HARRASSMENT!
Edited again to add that the manager spoke with said plumber, Roger, who claims he had no idea his wife was making nasty posts about my business. Clearly, this is a lie, because how would his wife give my personal information? This company did a terrible job handling the situation and the plumber should have been fired. I would never recommend them to anyone!!! BEWARE.
Very unprofessional to leave your phone number instead of calling your customer to resolve the situation. Also, you claim to have been a "prison guard" so you think you have good judge of character? Clearly, you do not, and it's so irrelevant what you did in the past for work, pertaining to my situation with this company. I've heard about every excuse now come out of you people and the owner still hasn't contacted me. Says a lot!

Avid Plumbing is great to work with. This is my second experience and both have been positive. Collin was very knowledgeable and professional. He also helped to navigate our home warranty program with little effort required on my part. Much appreciated.

Avid Plumbing truly saved the day for us! We started a shower project but quickly realized we needed a professional to get it done right. Art came out last minute on a Friday and was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, efficient, and had everything fixed in no time. His professionalism and friendly attitude made the whole experience stress-free. The service was fast. I called, and within two hours they were installing a new water heater. They left everything spotless and working perfectly. The price for the service and new equipment was almost $1,000 less than other companies. I'll let you know how the heater continues to work.

Avid plumbing came and extended our gas line to our kitchen range. They came beforehand and performed a free quote so I knew exactly what I would be paying. They communicated well, worked hard and cleaned up after themselves. I am very pleased with their work. I would highly recommend them.

Avid plumbing did a great job installing a new water softener. Were helpful and present and did everything they could to make sure everything stayed clean and made sure they were as quick as possible.

Friendly, prompt, no hidden fees, did exactly what they said needed to be done. Very satisfied with their work. Will definitely use them again for any future plumbing needs.

Great experience with Avid. My very old water heater sprung a leak and needed to be replaced. They got me on their schedule right away, which was great. They gave me a spot on quote, texted me when they were on their way. Collin was very nice, explained what was going to happen and was very professional. Great experience from the first phone call. Fair price, quick, and pleasant people. I wouldn't hesitate calling them!

I don't trust anyone else for plumbing work! Avid does a fantastic job start to finish. Prompt communication to schedule and get someone out to the house right away, tech thoroughly explained the situation and options, all the parts needed for the job were on hand and job was done quickly!

I was very disappointed with Avid's billing practices. At first I thought I'd recommend Avid to many, but now I will not do it. When I first contacted them, I was told on the phone that the $75 dispatch would include some time for diagnosis. And they don't charge hourly, they charge based on the actual work. After the diagnosis, they would send me an estimate. I thought it sounded pretty reasonable so scheduled a service with them. After coming, the technician turned the gas on and reset the water heater, confirmed the unit was working well. Switched on and off a few times, took pictures.........Ended up charging me another $72.5!!!! Shouldn't this be part of the diagnosis ??!! The bill in total was $155.61. I called them back asking if there's any chance for a bit discount because it's hard for me to accept paying 155.61 for turning on the gas and reset the unit. They said no chance at all for any discount. Other services would have charged me over $ 300 for what they did...... I am very very very disappointed. I don't think this is reasonable at all. At first I really planned to recommend Avid to many of my friends and groups in Middleton and Madison, because the dispatch fee is reasonable. But now I will not do it. Posting this as a heads-up to future customers!!!

I had an outdoor spigot changed out and it looks awful. I contacted Avid and they refused to do anything about it, saying I needed to contact them within 1-2 days of the repair. Check the work they do very carefully before you pay and plan to have someone else come out and check it too if you're inexperienced in plumbing.

Very unprofessionally and sloppily done work. Not to mention overpriced. The bathroom vessel sink was installed unevenly and the silicone was spread all over the brand new granite counter top. I went to replace the faucet and drain myself only to find out the sink hole does not line up with the counter hole and I cannot properly install a new drain without leaving a gap that could lead to a leak. Considering the companies supposedly good reviews, and the rather high price for a basic installation of sink and faucet, I found the results very disappointing.

I had an emergency water issue. They were able to check it out the same day within 6 hours of when I called. 2 thumbs up.

I was impressed in many ways by Avid Plumbing .
1) First, and most importantly to us, they were able to come out on the same day to replace our broken water heater.
2) The plumber (I think his name was Andy), just went about his business and had the water heater installed quickly and efficiently. It looked really nice. 3) The plumber looked at some other plumbing issues and helped us address those.
4) When I realized it was not an Energy Star rated water heater (which I thought I wanted), Jason Updike (General Manager) reached out to me and explained why our current set-up wouldn't allow for a switch to Energy Star rated. (We have atmospheric venting.) He offered to do the upgrade with discount since the heater was so new. (It was still quite a bit more expensive.)

I think you will be very happy with Avid Plumbing for your water heater needs.

An experienced and very competent installer arrived at the stated time, in a clean, modern, truck. My new water heater was up and running within 1 hour, at a much better price than the guys with TV ads. Excellent Job!

Could hear a leak we thought was in the walls. Fully expected they'd have to cut into the wall to fix the issue.

Once on site, he assessed and corrected the issue quickly and from only accessing our crawlspace. Very reasonable price for the work performed. Highly recommend!!

We have had Avid Plumbing do work for us in the past. This time we had two outside faucets and their associated indoor shutoff valves replaced. Avid is so easy and convenient to work with and they promptly scheduled a plumber to do the work. Art did a terrific job and the water is flowing with no leaks.

Wow, what a nice experience. After 50 years, my water heater finally died the day after the 4th of July. I called up Avid and had someone at the house within 2 hours. Two fine young men showed up to do the work. Fair prices, excellent service. Would highly recommend!
