Your one stop shop for custom metal work. Our company, Dibble Creek Rock, has hired General Mechanical to design and cut custom backing rings for HDPE pipe, fabricate pump suction screens, and custom bend channel to hold screen decks. Highly recommended.

The people at General Mechanical are very knowledgeable and work very closely with their customers. Art kept me informed during every step of the build. They are true professionals and take pride in their work. I will recommend them to anyone.

Surprise billing, shady billing practices. Unprofessional office staff, charges and price of labor and parts changed depending on who I talked to that day. It took them 7 days to get someone out to even look at my boiler, and the person they finally sent was not qualified to diagnose the problem. The second person they sent out was rude and did not answer any of my questions. He couldn't find anything wrong at first but then decided that I needed a new control board, for reasons that he would not explan. He also suggested that I might be "crazy" because he didn't believe me that I was hearing a noise from the boiler. I received a surprise bill for the callback that should have been free, AND they charged me overtime because their tech was late. I had to talk to 3 people to remove the charge, one of which was extremely rude. Then, they ordered a control board for me (for reasons they would not explain to me), then no-showed at my scheduled appointment which I had to miss an entire day of work for, and made me PREPAY for the part and service since they ordered the wrong part. They gave me some story about the only control board that existed in the country being in Minnesota. Ended up having to refund me $435 because they made me prepay (SO SHADY) I'm so glad I trusted my gut and canceled the whole thing because the next company I called was able to correctly diagnose the problem with my boiler which WAS NOT the control board. I didn't even need a freaking control board at all. This company is an absolute nightmare. All in all they tried to rip me off for almost $700.

This company is very honest and provides a good service. In particular, Jared,the repair guy is not only honest but good service about his job.
Honestly speaking, Jared fixed the furnace system by replacing the part but my heating system happened the same problem of furnace on next day. So, I asked Anchorage P&H to fix the system and then, Jared replaced the upgraded part without charge.
It is a great running for heating system.
He could have cheated me as parts warranty of furnace. However, he served to fix it without charge. So, I trust him and company.

2/29/16 Update - Had to call them out today because the return line from my sink cracked. They sent Jeremy out this time which was good. They were able to pin point the leak get the parts and fix it all within 2 hours. They were very nice to deal with and left the work place clean again. I will use these folks anytime the need arises.

My wife found them on the internet and they had many positive reviews. Jeremy came out today to replace a facet and supply lines for us. He was friendly and completed the work quickly. He left the work area clean after finishing. I will surely use this company again.

Incredibly quick to send someone out after initial request for service, unlike many other plumbers in Anchorage. Very courteous and considerate. They did an amazing job swapping out the main shutoff valve to my house in a short amount of time, even though it was very difficult to access. Highly recommend, and I will use them in the future!

Raven was exceptional! She was thorough, professional, and explained everything she did and what was going on throughout her work. She came by on a Sunday evening at 6pm to help me with a leak, and gave me great recommendations for replacement products and how to install. So thankful for her expertise!

Dean was extremely helpful, courteous, and professional. They got the job done in a timely manner and charged what they quoted. I did have to call and request that they return as I smelled gas out by my gas meter after the line to the kitchen was added, and I had to ask them to come seal the hole they made for the pipe to go through the wall (the hole was significantly larger than the pipe and moisture/bugs could easily get in). Dean did return the following day and correct the problems, and answered some questions I had. If 3.5 stars was an option, I would give 3.5.

There will never be another company that I will call for my plumbing needs. The work they did was FANTASTIC & the staff were nice. Very special thank you to Chris, the tech, who took care of us. He was upfront, honest and skillful. Thank you Anchorage Plumbing and Heating for being one of the few honest, reliable companies out there today.

I came home from the airport to discover my heat wasn't working. They dispatched a technician that evening. Through no fault of the technician it took a couple of days to complete the repair but both technicians that worked my problem were courteous and professional. Michelle is, also, very profession, efficient and pleasant to work with.
I will definitely recommend AP&H for heating problems.

2017 - Anchorage Plumbing & Heating has been working on our furnace for 13 years and we won't use anyone else. They get the job done, and we have never had a problem with their work. Today, we woke up with no heat and on a busy day, they were out there same day and got our issue fixed. Thank you!

2020 - I wanted to add to my review from 3 years ago. Ryan was at our home today and fixed both of our showers, stopping them from leaking and in just a couple of hours. We will continue to use you guys for everything

I have dealt with many heating contractors in the Anchorage area, and Anchorage Plumbing & Heating has by far been the best. Reasonable rates and excellent to deal with. I had an issue with a furnace at one of my properties and they sent someone out within 45 minutes. It was late and they did not have the correct part to fix the problem that night, but they got it working and came back the following morning to install the correct one. Great people and amazing service!

Jesse was able to come over within 1hr from my call and, that itself was surprisingly good. He was knowledgeable and was ready for repair. Had the correct item in the truck and altogether service value was excellent. Convenience at its best. I would use them again and recommend!
