I’m writing this as a follow-up to service I had done in April 2025.
At that time I had about $3,000 worth of work done on my AC system related to cooling. Everything was handled in a timely manner and worked great, and I was very satisfied with that visit.
Fast forward to January 2026 — I finally turned on my heater for the first time this season. The unit turned on immediately, but it was only blowing cold air, not heat. Given that I hadn’t had any issues since the prior service, I reasonably assumed something related to the heating side may not have been reconnected properly during the previous work.
I also have a service subscription with this company (which I originally purchased at a discount during that $3,000 service), so I called to explain the situation. I was told there would be a $90 service charge unless they could directly tie the issue to the prior work — in which case it would be waived.
The technician arrived, turned on the heater, and confirmed it was blowing cold air. He then went up to the roof, left the unit running, and within about five minutes it started blowing hot air. When I asked what he did, he told me he didn’t do anything and that “it just does that sometimes.” He then said he performed a general inspection while he was up there.
I was still charged the service fee.
Respectfully — I was born at night, but not last night. A system does not go from blowing cold air to blowing hot air within minutes without something being adjusted, reset, or corrected. The explanation I was given did not align with what happened, and charging me $90 for a visit where the issue was clearly resolved — while being told nothing was done — feels disingenuous.
I was happy with the first visit. Unfortunately, this second experience made me lose trust in the company’s transparency and service practices, and I will not be using them again. -
We've been using this company for several years. We have a maintenance service with them. After several bad experiences with other companies we FINALLY found one that values us as a customer. Anthony is our go to tech. He's knowledgeable and an all around nice guy. The office staff is wonderful to deal with. They're always pleasant amd accommodating. Great company all around.

Ricky from Dukes came to do our regular service maintenance today and he did a thorough job. He walked me through all the numbers on the system. He cleaned everything up and made sure it's ready for this summer. It's nice knowing my system is watched over. I will request Ricky do all service going forward.

Updated review:
Duke’s was extremely prompt to respond to my complaint. They called my wife the following business day to apologize and offered to replace the attic door asap. They were quick to put us on the schedule and replace the attic door. It now looks clean and better than before. Duke’s exemplified top tier customer service and went above and beyond to rectify the issue. We will continue to use Duke’s and highly recommend them to others who are in the market for air conditioning services. Ps - shout out to our technician Ace who did a great job and was super kind and helpful.
Old review:
We have used Duke’s for a few years but this might be our last time ever using them again. Absolutely ridiculous that this is how the technician (named Michael) left the access point to our attic, and the side of the wall. Notice the large chip on the side which was not there before. When we called to let them know this just happened we got some 21 year old receptionist that didn’t seem to care and would “pass along to the manager.” Beware of anyone hiring them or this might be how they leave your home after servicing it. Pathetic. -
We have used AZ Dukes of Air for at least 10byears. Our initial installation was great. They didn't let trash accumulate like a lot of contractors. They did the job well and very professionally. We've had a service contract since the beginning. Our unit.gets inspected twice a year. Every single technician seems happy, very friendly anddo a great job
. If we could give 10 stars we would. -
They always do great work! Dustin was awesome! Efficient, clean and quiet! My wife and I both work from home and are reluctant to schedule services during the week because of this, but we never have issues with Dukes. Highly recommend

October 28th 2025, Arizona dukes of air came out and replaced our 14-year-old unit that was not worth repairing for many reasons unfortunately. Now I had gotten 2 other AC repair/replacement quotes from 2 other major companies. Not only was Arizona dukes of air a tad bit cheaper, but the Bang for the buck with an amazing unit was just so much better. And made so much more sense To go with. I originally called Arizona Dukes of air to just have them come out and get a third quote for just in case reasons. They sent over Dimitri, Who is a very cool professional knowledgeable skilled man at everything he explained and provided. He did his thing gave me the 2 estimates and I chose the stage2 3 ton, and we are beyond happy with it. The installation Technician team were very fast efficient and professional in there work like no other, hats off to them! glad to have gone with them and have the peace of mind of everything about this company and our new unit! please do not hesitate to give them a call. They are definitely worth it, And you don't get that corporate feeling at all from them.

In 2021 Suretemp installed a new AC/furnace for me. In 2022 Suretemp was acquired by Homeserve which had also acquired Dukes of Air. In 2026, I had a tech from another Co. come out to do insulation, they pointed out some faults with the 2021 install.
I contacted Dukes of Air they honored my warranty with Suretemp and had a technician come out and do all the repair work.
All the problems were resolved and I highly recommend Michael Newpower, the tech who did the work for me. Very cordial, answered all my questions, documented his work, and showed me the pictures. Very pleased. 😊 -
Had a leak and pooling water from a clogged condensation hose. It was a holiday weekend, but was able to get a technician to come out early on a Sunday morning. Ricky Olivarez was helpful and knowledgeable. Had the problem repaired quickly and efficiently. I use this company for my main home and 2 rental properties. As well as 2 salon locations. They’ve always been reasonably priced, knowledgeable and educate you on repairs and maintenance. Highly recommend!

Ricky O. was great. He was only here about 45 minutes to do a PM. He answered all of the questions I had, went about his business, and was done. Everything about our system was well documented so they have all our info if we have any issues in the future. We definitely found a new AC company!

Ray came to the house promptly, with the replacement garbage disposal right in the truck. Ray is the kind of person you like right off. The replacement was done professionally and my kitchen was back to functional in no time. AZ Dukes is definately my go to plumber. And yes, I recommend them to anyone who needs the best, most professional company for plumbing service.

Kody and his team did a good job, clean install as I would expect. They were professional and courteous, even asked twice for me to come look at something before they did it. Only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because I found several pieces of sharp metal (from trimming something) and a couple sheet metal screws in my garage and driveway where they were working. Luckily none of those things found our tires. Overall satisfied with the work.

I had a top-of-the-line AC system installed at my house by SureTemp in 2024, which was acquired by Dukes of Air. In 2025, the poor installation was identified as the root cause of a leak, resulting in over $50k in damages and a year of hassle with deconstruction and reconstruction of half of my house, insurance claims and lawyers. Both the flood mitigation company and my home insurance company independently identified missed steps in installation as the cause of the leak. My claim went through insurance, leaving a $5k difference between what I paid and what insurance paid. Patrick, with Dukes of Air, initially acknowledged the issue, but then responded stating they were not liable and would not cover the outstanding amount. Likewise, they refused to respond to my lawyer’s attempts to contact them. The last thing you want is a AC company who does not stand behind their installations.

We've been using Dukes of Air for quite a few years. We've had repairs performed on old units, purchased new units and done maintenance. Everybody is incredible from the person who answers the phone to the techs who come to our house. Ricky was here today and as always, was professional and thorough in explaining everything he did and how our units are operating. It's so nice to know that a company will always operate this way since everybody reading this knows it doesn't happen as often as it should. From a fellow service business owner, well done everybody!

We're in subrogation with our insurance with a claim against for a bad install/maintenance on our HVAC and the condensation line. They came to our home for this normal maintenance at the very start of July and poor maintenance occured. And they even stated on the invoice, which we refused to sign, that the condensation line was working well, as was the restof our system. Well then 3 weeks later it was apparent that leaked into our home causing thousands of dollars worth of damages and found to be from the faulty install and maintenance of the condensation line. When I called suspecting something wasn't right on the maintenance check visit before the leak and water damage was discovered, I shared that something was wrong with the maintenance check and the tech (Jordan)was acting like something happened but was trying to cover it up. There was excessive noise, banging, drilling, and our unit was turned off for an excessive time to the point of alarm. When I called the manager was very annoyed and condescending in response saying I didn't know what I was talking about and that Duke's had a higher level of service than Sure Temp with whom they recently merged with in February 2025. Nonetheless 3 weeks later b the leak made it into our home right in our main bedroom. When I called at 9am after having a plumber come look and find it to be the condensation line, Duke's said they couldn't get anyone out until 7pm... while the line continues to leak in my home and cause more water damage...? So I called another company and they came within the hour. However Duke's called back just as I was giving the other company permission to save our home from more damage and do the work. They said they would send someone to come fix it and they did, though he didn't fix it properly nor go into the attic to verify. The leak continued and was found when insurance sent mitigation over to help with damage and begin process. When calling Duke's again to slow them to fix their mistake again, they said it's not their fault, they already sent someone to fix it for free once(but it wasn't fixed as know), and there's nothing they can do about it. To say the least, I was done with them. I hired the other company, sent pictures, invoice both past and up until the day, including merger docs, website links to all they stated about the merger on both pair and the web, and even a BS invoice they edited stating that they had told us during a different maintenance check we were told the line was broken and we declined to have it fixed?!? I have the printout and electronic email receipt from actual maintenence on that date showing pictures and thorough documentation that all parts were working fine including the condensation line. Not to mention our unit is only a couple of years old. Our insurance had tried to contact them regarding their responsibility for damages and costs to no avail. They cannot figure out who or if they are insured, though Duke's states they are on their site "licensed and insured". My insurance said they found the last insurance carriers for then which no longer cover them and cannot find them under any other insurance as of yet... so either they're not insured and doing work on people's homes or they are avoiding responsibility. If they weren't worried they were at fault, I would think they'd be in conversation with our adjuster and/or theirs to figure things out and let them handle it at least. So truly, ZERO STARS.
As for the message in reply below, try having Duke's of Air answer the many calls from our insurance adjusters and subrogation to address all of this?! -
Jay and company were great!!! They put a new AC unit on our house for $1700 less than other quotes! He actually talked me out of a more expensive unit because it was too big for our house!! Excellent work and reasonable prices and better service! I’d definitely use them again!!

I like to give a shout out to The Cooling & Plumbing Co. Thank you Jay Monday for over 7 years of wonderful service!
If you want cool air for the summer, you got it. If you want heat for the winter, you got that too. If you have plumbing repair, need to replace the old toilet, need new bathroom fixtures, whole house water replacement with reverse osmosis…I’ve had ALL these services completed.
Jay Monday really does it all with attention to detail, which is really important to me.
Jay is honest and reliable on top of having great prices. Who does all of that? I highly recommend Jay for all your cooling. heating and plumbing needs. Needless to say, I always call Jay. -

From the minute I spoke to Jay and showed him photos of our water main breaking he showed incredible knowledge and experience. He walked me through what to expect, timelines for completion and answered all my questions and concerns.
Next day service came to get our water back up and running and his team was here early and took the time introduce themselves and let us know their plan start to completion.
The work turned out incredible! My family and I are grateful to have a plumbing and HVAC company to call on and refer. -
Jay Was prompt at returning my call and we set up a quick appointment time. Patrick was the young man that came out to my house. He was professional kind and very knowledgeable. He got my shower up and running, and I couldn’t be happier! After the service call, Jay followed up to see how everything went. Don’t see customer service like that anymore and I so appreciate the two of them. I would recommend the cooling and plumbing company to anyone all day long.

Above and beyond with service. Walking me through some troubleshooting to help me avoid having a plumber out and ultimately taking care of our problem. We will be using them consistently for now on.
