I had the pleasure of working with Cody Mauzy who did an amazing job of installing a new HVAC system in my home in Saber Springs. I took the time and sought out three contractors and received multiple bids. Cody‘s numbers were fair and right in the middle, but what pushed me over the edge to select him was his interpersonal skills, honesty, and how much he educated me on exactly what I needed and why. He was able to provide enough information that allowed us to make the right decision on the right equipment. He also gave us options if we wanted to upgrade and provided a fair price for those things as well. He went above and beyond what he needed to do by offering to replace a couple vents that were in need of repair and never charged me for it. I contacted Legacy home & energy to come out and perform my yearly furnace &A/C maintenance.
I spoke with Cody to set up a time for the service. There was no two or four hour window that I was to expect them. We set the time for 10AM & they showed up at 10AM.
Both Cody & Steve performed the furnace & A/C maintenance. Looking at my A/C unit, they noticed that my heat pump wasn’t connected. They connected it and made sure it worked properly.
Steve also installed surge protectors on the furnace & A/C for added protection

10/10 recommend for any HVAC repairs! Cody was quick to respond and came out the same day to fix an issue with our mini-split AC system in Alpine. He diagnosed the problem right away and had us up and running within an hour. He was extremely professional, kind and knowledgeable. We will definitely be calling him next time we need a tune up or repair. Thank you!

Thank you Steve and the Legacy team! I called Legacy home energy when my AC started blowing warm air and the heater was blowing unheated air. Legacy was able to send Steve over on the same day. He listened to what the problem was, and basically figured out the issue with one or two questions, before he even looked at my equipment. Once we looked at my unit, he confirmed the part that needed to be replaced, and swapped it out in less than 15 minutes. I am very happy with my experience with Legacy home energy. The price was right, and after hearing all the stories of other AC companies up-selling to new units, I was glad that Steve found the issue and fixed it. This is a high integrity company and I will be using them for any of my future needs.

I’ve been having issues this with my AC not kicking on. I had another company come out a couple of weeks ago (one provided by my home warranty company). They “supposedly” fixed it but two weeks later, it once gain stopped working and they mentioned that they could not send anyone back out for almost a week.
With the inside of my house approaching 90°F, I reached out to Cody and explained the situation to him. He responded immediately, said that he knew what the issue was and that he’d head on over. I’m not exaggerating when I say that less than an hour after I first contacted him, my AC was cranking and the house was already cooling down!

I recently called Legacy Home Energy in El Cajon, CA to come to my home to service my heating and air-conditioning system & solar panel system. My thermostats were not working and I was not getting my reports on my solar panels. Cody Mauzy quickly determined the problems and new thermostats were installed as well as the Enphase panel, which monitors the solar panels. He was respectful of the property, showed me how to use the new thermostats, answered my questions, and I felt the cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend this company for any energy system problem!

The overall experience from start to finish was very positive! We contacted Cody after learning he stepped out and formed a company on his own. Before that, we met when he worked for a previous company when he gave us estimates and successfully installed a heater in 2 homes and A/C in 1 home. Next, we needed new insulation and wanted an attic fan installed. All the things you hope for in a professional job for your home were achieved! On time for the initial appointment; estimate received in a reasonable amount of time; work crew showing up on the appointed date and time; efficient and professional installation; addressing a small problem after the job was completed. This was my first time using Legacy Home Energy and I had a very positive and pleasant experience. Can’t say that’s been true with other HVAC companies lately. Legacy is a smaller, local, family-owned business that I feel is more honest than some of the larger HVAC companies in the area. It was easy to schedule a timely appointment.

Legacy came out to do an annual furnace safety check and did not try to up-sell me any additional products or services – a rarity these days! They told me my system was in good working order and should last another 10 years which left me with a good feeling.

I will be using Legacy for all my HVAC needs from now on.

Cody installed my solar system when he worked for Mauzy. Mauzy no longer does solar but I had an issue with my system. I reached out to Cody at "Legacy home energy" for advice when my microinverters were not producing energy. Cody helped me with a simple solution that worked and was easy to do. He did not charge me either. I really appreciate his help. He even followed up the next day to make sure that my system was working again. I really appreciate that.
