Excellent service. Thorough review /tune-up of current heating system (upstairs and downstairs) in preparation for winter. Honest assessment of filters (did not try to push for new filters when not needed. No upsells...Cant say that about another three letter HVAC firm popular in SD). Checked operations, intakes, startup, etc. All good.
Steve arrived ON TIME (always a great thing!) and did a great job.

Cody came out on a holiday and recognized the problem immediately with my heater. He didn’t have to replace parts but he did have to fix the problem. I appreciate he didn’t try and charge me for parts I didn’t need. He showed me how to put in filters correctly. He did not charge me anything!!! Such a kind and trust worthy man! Cody the owner of Legacy Home Energy is awesome. He came out to my house measured my roof. We had a conversation about how many panels I could fit and also fit in my budget. He then sent me a formal proposal, Which I signed. He then scheduled his team to come out and install. They did a beautiful job. Everything was on budget and on schedule. This company really does things the right way. I called and Cody (the owner) answered right away and said he could have someone there asap today. Steve showed up about an hour and a half later (AWESOME). He was able to diagnose my furnace very fast and let me know and actually showed me that a part had gone bad. He told me exactly how much it was going to be to repair it. He did not try upselling me on a new system or anything I did not need. Steve was in and out within about 45 minutes after testing the entire system. And the price was great. Thanks for the honest work Steve. We will be calling LEGACY HOME ENERGY every time.

It’s not often that I leave a five star review but Legacy Home Energy definitely deserves it. I called Friday evening, knowing that they wouldn’t be able to do anything then. After talking to me they ordered the part i needed. It got here late Monday night and they installed it on Tuesday. Very smooth, very efficient. Excellent knowledge could not be happier. Cody with Legacy Home Energy came out to my home in El Cajon to diagnose an issue with my SolarEdge solar inverter that stopped producing power. He quickly identified the problem, explained the AC surge fault clearly, and handled the SolarEdge inverter RMA so the replacement unit is already being shipped. While he was here, he also replaced my thermostat that wasn’t connecting to the internet or app and got it working right away. Very knowledgeable, honest, and professional. Great communication and follow-through. I’ll have him back to install the new inverter and get my solar system back up and running. As the temp began to drop last week, our heater went out and wouldn’t produce consistent heat. I hired several big companies (which I won’t name) to come out and assess the situation. After spending countless hours and money, no one could fix the issues other rhan saying,, “your 5 year old furnace went out” and we need thousands to replace it.

I decided to give it one more shot with Legacy, after being referred by a neighbor.

Cody and Steve came out and within less than a few hours, they were able to troubleshoot the issue and fix everything. For less than a thousand bucks. I was shocked AND a little upset at all the others. They explained to me in detail what was wrong, what they had to charge for and answered all my questions.

Now, my heater pumps perfectly on both levels! No more freezing downstairs and sweating up!

These guys are honest, punctual, have great communication skills, do great work and are very affordable. I would definitely recommend them!

Legacy is my go to HVAC company. They are very experienced and professional. They installed both of my HVAC systems at my house. They went above and beyond with the attention to detail on the installation. Legacy installed high end equipment and saved me thousands in the process. They showed up when scheduled and finished on time.
Recently I had a construction project that required the outside units to be removed and put back in. I called Cody, he and his team came the next day to remove the AC units and when the construction was done they put them right back in. They even performed some rodent proofing of my units just so I wouldn’t have w any issues with mice nesting in the units!! I would highly recommend this company. Great work, price, and professionalism.
