I had an excellent experience with Gene Burch Plumbing and heating company. Sergio came out to my house to check my heater, which was not working. It was a very old heater. It was time to buy a new heater. . I went ahead and had installed by Sergio and Jimmy. The work was done to perfection and I trusted them completely. I had to leave my house. My mom had an emergency so I had to leave my house with my dog at home Sergio and Jimmy stayed there to complete the job locked up my House. I would Recommend Gene Burch Specially, Sergio to do any work in your house. They are really good!

Our clothes washer died suddenly. We bought a new washer and dryer from Best Buy, but when team came to install they found water supply frozen (never turned x 20 yrs). Our neighbor recommended Gene Burch - having used them over the years and very satisfied with service. I called them on Tuesday and Ivan came 1st thing Wednesday morning. He replaced both (hot and cold) valves and also the gas valve for our dryer. While there he also replaced a leaky hose bib. Ivan was prompt, efficient, careful, and tidy. He explained everything to me. He is a terrific professional. I recommend him (and Gene Burch Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning) highly!

Here was the problem with our air conditioning system: It just stopped correctly. Also in the past when it did seem to work our house’s 3 A/C zones never able to stay on at once. Before Sergio from Burch came to our house on Thursday, August 15th, 2025 for a A/C repair call, about 8 years a different pair of repair people from your company (Burch) were unable to figure out and fix the problem of the 3 A/C not being able to stay on at once. However Sergio, after a thorough examination of our air conditioning system, diagnosed the cause of the problem: it was caused by a design flaw of the A/C system when the previous owners added on rooms to the house. Sergio, with his assistant Diego, was able to hack a solution that we’re happy and content with until my husband and I can someday afford to completely replace the system. So when we get it replaced or need HVAC repair work, we will specifically ask for Sergio.

Brad F. remedied three areas of my home that had ongoing problems. Two of them had been “fixed” previously, twice. Brad was professional, skilled, and correctly assessed how to eliminate the problems. He worked steadily, was communicative, and cleaned up after. Sergio and staff Maria were also professional and helpful. I'm impressed with the company and its workers and would recommend them. They are not inexpensive, but I could have saved money, time, and frustration by having them here first.

Super honest and accurate repair. Quote to relocate my furnace to the attic came in $1000 less than the competitor here in Novato.

Technician was very knowledgeable and was able to address the issues, and recommend a set of options to fit my budget. The radiator system he fixed had a few issues and needs more work. Unfortunately there is no follow up. I signed up for the monthly membership for tune ups etc. and they never called. I planned on doing more work but they never called. I even called them and was disappointed again. I have had to go with a different company.

Freddie is the best!! Knowledgeable, communicates well, I always ask for him even if it means waiting to fit his schedule.

The pilot light on my furnace would not stay on, called Gene Birch and Martin and Diego came out the next day. Well they tried to light it and long story short it worked, I had tried for two days before with no luck. The guys were great they didn’t make me feel stupid or or say I didn’t know what I was doing. I’ll recommend they any time.

We had a warranty repair on an AC Condenser. They identified the problem, ordered the part and installed once it was received. We've used Gene Burch for all our HVAC needs! Great team!

Timely. Quality work. Needed new water heater suddenly and quickly (normal reaction when 11 y/o appliances craps out). Needed work done to code and per the previous owner’s remodel needed some notable safety compliance with H20 supply shut-offs and gas valve shut-off replaced but also moved to be properly accessible.
Diagnosed on Thursday afternoon, installed (code compliant (with safety repairs) Friday morning. Didnt have to suffer cold water through the weekend. Thank you

My elderly mom is housebound due to a medical condition, so when our furnace died last weekend, it was urgent that we get a replacement ASAP. Of the four places I called, Gene Burch had the quickest response, the most thorough evaluation, and, by far, the best price. Estimator Tae was knowledgable, courteous, and kind. He was able to get our unit installed unbelievably quickly, for which we are SO grateful. Martin came out to do the installation, and was so efficient and friendly. Maria in the office was helpful and responsive. GB turned around a really stressful situation for us, and we can't thank them enough. Ten stars!
