We've hired Andy at Comet for two jobs. The first one was an emergency job on a Saturday afternoon. The first thing I liked is he didn't charge more for weekends. He came at 4pm and worked through dinner up until 10pm so that we could get our water back! This is the kind of guy he is. He really cares about the customer and has dedication to his job.

The next job was a major repipe. I knew I liked Andy, but I did get a couple of other quotes to make sure the price was fair (for that big of a job you have to make sure, right?). His price was good so we went ahead. Again he did quality work. He even fixed and did some things extra: installed two new faucets, a new utility sink, and rebuilt some of the p-traps.

It is always great when you can find someone you can trust to work on your house like Andy.

I have a great plumber for work inside the house, but when my sewer line showed signs of needing replacement, I asked a local contractor and was referred to Comet Plumbing and Sewer. Andrew is a consummate professional. He did good work, came when he said he would, showed up numerous times to make sure everything was as it should be during a week-long ordeal with city permits and inspections, and even labored for hours in the rain to ensure my service would not be interrupted. He gives a 10-year warranty on his work, so hopefully I'll never require his services again, but should there ever be a need, I'd call him in a heartbeat.

My husband called Andrew (Comet) to see where the leak coming from under our 40 gallon water heater. Andrew came on time the next day as he said, and found that the tank is the cause for the leak. When he told us how much it will cost I thought it was above what I expected, but he explained why and we gave him the go ahead. He promised to be there at 9:00 am the next day.

At 9:00 am he was there, got us a beautiful heater, installed a water shut off (our old heater didn't have one). When he was done I went and checked and I was amazed! What a perfect job he did!!! Andrew cleaned up even the dust in the heater's closet, washed the dirty tray beneath the heater, and him and his assistant gathered all the debris in a huge bag. My drive way was as sparkling clean after all the work he did. I appreciated the efficiency, the competence and professionalism in handling the work and above all his diligence and coutesy. He came back after an hour to check on the hot water.

Andrew did a great job replacing our garbage disposal: he was fast and efficient and finished the job in less than 15 minutes with good craftsmanship. I also appreciated the fact that he went through all of the details of the issue and resolution. Their pricing was very reasonable too; nearly half of another plumber I received a quote from. We needed to replace two toilets. I had a lot of questions as this is my first time replacing toilets :-) Andrew answered all my questions via numerous text message exchanges which gave me a very good idea of the project and made me feel comfortable about it.

After that initial consultation, Andrew not only finished the job with an very quick turnaround time, he also managed to save us some money buy getting the new toilets with wholesale pricing - which we originally planned to buy from Home Depot.

Fantastic, honest local business. I contacted Comet Plumbing when my sewer backed up, and when Andrew confirmed he wasn't able to fit it in, he provided consultation over the phone: how to contact the city, what to share, possible causes, and offered another local business as a "back up" if I still needed help that day.
This morning my water heater wasn't working, so I called Comet, and again Andrew pointed me to a different specialist because of his busy schedule. I can understand why Comet is booked up, because I have benefited from the excellent customer service!

I called Comet after a landscaping contractor broke my main water line from the street. I had met the owner, Andrew, when he replaced the sewer line next door and knew that he had an excellent reputation in the neighborhood. The day I called, Andrew finished early on a prior job and, after calling, came over at mid-afternoon instead of the next morning. He completed the repair, including having the city turn the water back on and testing the fix, by dinner time. His charge was very reasonable. Beyond the excellent service we received, Andrew explained to me the specifics of the type of copper used when my house was built (1959) and he used this type for the repair. His expertise gave me confidence that the repair was done correctly. My wife and I are happy to recommend Comet and Andrew.

During the pandemic I learned a lot of new skills, including basic plumbing ones: changing shutoff valves, replacing faucets, unclogging drain pipes etc.

While attempting to replace a garden hose valve I accidentally cracked a 70 year old, completely rusted galvanized pipe. Unfortunately for me that pipe was the main pipe entering my house, which meant I had to shut off the water for the whole house.

Unpleasant to say the least, especially since this happened on Sunday, while raining. None of the plumbers recommended by my friends on Facebook answered my calls for help. I decided to try my luck with a Google Maps search for a plumber. Andrew picked up the phone and told me he can come in 2 hours, promise which he kept. With contractors, plumbers and electricians I learned to not rely on such estimates, so this was a good sign.

After some back and forth, Andrew proceeded to dig a hole to look for the problem. He cut out the rusted pipe and its elbow connection, installed a new compression fitting into the main water pipe coming from the street, re-did all the water connections using copper pipes and the ball valves I had picked up from Home Depot. I had water back on to my house at 7pm that Sunday, a feat I did not think was possible!

He also came out the following Tuesday to investigate a water leak under the house. My wife kept hearing unusual, constant water sounds in one of the bathrooms, which turned out to be a little puncture in a copper pipe under the house. Andrew fixed that leak as well, without me being at home.

Overall I’m impressed, it is very rare to find a good plumber, and one willing to go the extra mile to fix problems.

Andrew does great work at a fair price, and is able to come out very quickly when needed! I met him through a client, and am very glad I did! He just installed a sewer cleanout access for me-we weren't expecting him until Monday, but he was able to swing by today and get the job done very quickly! Highly recommend him, and I'll definitely be calling again for future plumbing needs!

The best, most reliable and most honest plumber you will find. I have had Andrew do a number of jobs for me and the price was always reasonable and the work quality. He stands behind his work. It took me many years and iterations of using different plumbers with sometimes bad results before I found Andrew, so I consider finding him a gift.

We had a drain issue right around the holidays and Andrew fixed it that same day. He and his team have always done great work at a fair price!

I used Comet Plumbing to replace a collapsed sewage line at my house.

Andrew was timely and professional and did a great job communicating what would be involved beforehand. The work was high quality and he put the landscaping back to the way it was such that you couldn’t even tell that it had been excavated. It’s now been over a year since the work was done and I haven’t had any sewage issues. I am confident that Andrew stands by his work and would fix anything if I did have any issues.

The pricing is fair and transparent, and very little hassle involved. For the sewage line, Andrew handled all the paperwork with the city and all the inspections without any issues.

Great service from Comet Plumbing. He was super busy but still managed to come over the same day I called and do a faucet install. I provided the faucet, but not the hoses - not to worry, Comet had all the parts that were not included. The shut off valve needed replacing, and they had that ready to go as well. Highly recommend.

The work was done as planned, on budget, and passed inspection no problem. The work needed was clearly explained. Andrew is a great communicator, he always arrived right when he said he would and he was respectful with his team. His was the lower of two quotes I got for the extensive work needed, and he was always happy to pause and explain what was happening.

I can’t say enough about Andrew and Comet Plumbing. Tree roots had broken into the sewer line causing a backup. I spoke with four different plumbers and Andrew was the only one who didn’t try to add on to the job with extra services such as digging a trench the entire length of my yard and replacing the full sewer line. The PVC line just needed to be repaired and roots removed from one section. Andrew was very honest and did a beautiful job without uprooting my entire yard. His fee was totally reasonable and he was extremely careful with the plants surrounding the area that needed repair. At the same time he was punctual and got the job done quickly and, thankfully, with zero stress to me. He also left the job site clean and neat. The permit was signed off and the work immediately approved by the city with no problems. I highly recommend Andrew and Comet Plumbing.
