I just want to say that I really love this place. Bailey is the absolute best! I know we'll need a new AC unit soon, but in the meantime Giddens and Bailey are so helpful and patient with us.

Giddens installed a new mini-split system for me over a year ago and I am very happy with the results. I no longer have to argue with my roommate about the thermostat, and my utility bills are very reasonable with the energy savings. The mini-split heating is great, and the cooling is excellent as well. Had no problems in the summertime with the house in full sun.

AWESOME customer service! We purchased a new system, needed follow service and Giddens was there literally within 30 minutes! They followed up and got our repair done extremely quick and professionally. Wish all businesses had this same level of service. Highly recommend!

Based on the company's website reviews, I called Giddens on 2/25. Offered to come out the same day, as well as offered free advice on how to fix the problem. I declined the free assistance in lieu of having a HVAC professional come to my home. Scheduled for 9-10 AM on 2/26. The technician called when he was en route, as I requested. He showed up at the scheduled time and I met him at my residence. Bailey quickly assessed the problem and offered a solution and maintenance tips to prevent the problem from re occurring. He was knowledgeable, very professional, and courteous. He cleaned up his work area and was on his way. I have been terrified of having to call an air conditioner company, for fear of being taken to the cleaners. I knew what the problem was and I wanted it addressed professionally. I made the right call. I will use Giddens from now on. Thanks for being a reputable company!!!!!

Ben Giddens A/C did an excellent job installing our new TRANE unit. The unit stopped working a couple of months past the 1st year. I called on a Friday late afternoon and a tech was sent out the next day. The technician was honest, efficient, thorough, clean and courteous. Paco explained the problem, which, thankfully, was immediately fixed. The overflow switch had gone on because the water wasn't draining out of the pan. He took care of it and went on his way. I had to force him to accept a tip. Going with Giddens is a good decision if you're looking for great service.

I love Giddens! I called Giddens because my heater stopped working in the middle of 28 degree weather. The lady that took my call was very nice and sent the next available technician. He got here in less than an hour, took a look at the unit, told me it was a capacitor and replaced it. He was very nice, very professional and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend them and I will be calling on them again if I have any more heater/ac problems.

I was very impressed with Giddens Air Conditioning from the get-go. Andrew took the time to come out and inspect the system before providing me a competitive quote. He also shared with me modifications to the system that would make it more efficient. When it came time for the installation, Lee and Lalo really knew what they were doing! I can't imagine the process going any smoother than it did. An added bonus is that Jody, the office manager, provided me the forms necessary for two rebates from the City of Tallahassee. I couldn't have chosen a better company than Giddens and I look forward to many years of comfort from my new system.

Jodi is the absolute best she was extremely professional and very helpful. My rental property's AC unit went out and she stayed in constant communication with me to ensure that the tech scheduling went smoothly.. I will definitely continue to use them for me AC needs and will recommend to friends and family.

tldr: Great company for central a/c repair!

Our very old central air unit stopped blowing out cold air. They came out and added freon and that appeared to help at first, but then later not. They came out the next day and replaced a capacitor for free and apologized for not fixing the problem the first day. Same thing happened and we had to wait a week for a part that they installed and that fixed the problem. This may sound like a negative experience, but not at all, as this was a complicated issue with a very old unit, they were very communicative/responsive throughout the process, and I'd recommend them over any other place we've dealt with over the years. The last company that came out basically gave us a hard sell on a new unit and out and out lied about a part being about ready to go at any time. Giddens mentioned a new unit as an option, outlined pros and cons, and gave me an estimate when I asked, but were informative and helpful rather than pushy and I appreciated that. Anyway, I'll happily hire them to repair or replace our central air unit in the future.

Giddens' is my go to for A/C repair. When I used them in the past they were always friendly and affordable. When I called recently due to my AC not working, they explained they couldn't get a tech out that same day but then did not hesitate to refer me to a "sister" company that they trust to see if they had any techs available same day. They were willing to hand off this repair and revenue in order to make sure it got fixed quickly, THAT is great customer service and I will always make sure they are my first call if any issues should arise in the future.

I was reluctant to call an a/c service due to poor past experience with two other shops, but the condenser fan wasn't working. I called Giddens and straight away I had the start of a positive experience. They listened to what the problem was, what I attempted, and wanted to fit me into their schedule so we would not have to go through the weekend without the a/c. It didn't stop there. They came out when they said they would, and promptly went to work to fix the problem and do maintenance on both a/c units. They were very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and reasonably priced.

We cannot say enough good things about Giddens. They replaced a unit for us about 5 years ago and our experience with them was great! So today, a Saturday, at 93° when our AC stopped working, I knew to call them. I did not expect them to have someone to my house the same day, let alone within 30 minutes of my call! Bailey was the tech that came and he quickly was able to diagnose the issue and repair it. I called at 4:45pm and by 6:45pm, our unit was working again. Thank you, Giddens!!

From my very first phone call with Jody to the end of the first service appointment with Lee, I felt extremely comfortable and like I was hiring the right people. Everyone was friendly and answered my many questions. Reasonable prices and got the job done fast and correctly.

These guys are amazing. They installed a new HVAC system at our house 3 years ago. It has been very quiet and efficient. We had a little trouble with the first thermostat which they immediately replaced. Maintenance is easy. They are professional, upbeat and very knowledgeable. This spring a few local HVAC companies visited my house to give me quotes on an admittedly difficult job: addressing two old AC units that fed into a Frankenstein-ed duct work system of old metal duct work and newer flex duct work, all in a very narrow crawl space and all needing significant work. Of the companies who visited, Giddens and specifically Andrew were friendly, communicative, clearly interested in listening to me about what I wanted, super knowledgeable about their trade, and willing to brainstorm with me about solutions. Their eventual quote was reasonable. And their work was top notch, polished, and thorough. I now have two new Carrier AC units, a new furnace, and a well restored and newly insulated duct work system. And despite an unexpected issue with my plumbing that required them to pause the job for about two weeks until it was fixed, they maintained total friendliness, professionalism, concern about my comfort, and respect. They were flexible, reasonable, and never missed a beat, and now my house feels great. I'm incredibly happy with everything. Giddens has my highest recommendation!

New: Giddens just installed a new Daikin FIT heat pump system at our son’s house and they did an awesome job! Andrew and his team are very diligent and did everything to ensure a successful job. Also VERY impressed with the Daikin unit and its 12-year warranty. If you are replacing a unit, do yourself a favor and check Daikin out and let Giddens install it! Old: Giddens is the best! You can’t find a better company to replace or repair your air conditioning. We have worked with many of the technicians, the owner, and Jody in the office (who is absolutely amazing). Since 2018 when our units were installed we have only had positive experiences.

From our first phone call to Giddens Air Conditioning Inc, we couldn't have been more impressed. From the start, Office Manager Jody took time to answer questions and provided excellent insights into the issue we were having with heating our home. The contractors that came out to the house were knowledgeable problem solvers who went above and beyond, working effectively and efficiently. In fact, as temperatures dipped, they adjusted their schedule to come out a day early, knowing we were without heat. Giddens Air Conditioning Inc is the BEST group of contractors we have ever worked with and we will absolutely use them in the future for all of our HVAC needs.

I personally know Ben Giddens, the owner of Giddens AC, from us and our siblings all attended Florida High School, so when I needed AC help and asked my brother if Ben or Billy owned this, he confirmed to call Ben. Although i didn’t speak to Ben, his assistant was delighted to hear and pass along the message from one of his former high school best friends and the big sister.
Okay, so I already can attest to Ben’s character and integrity, and remember, I knew him as a teenager. lol
Nothing bad to report, Ben was always the nicest guy. Never would believe my brother was adopted until my mom showed him the papers. lol
Now I can attest that Ben runs an amazing company. The technician sent out, Bailey, did a thorough inspection of my old HVAC unit that simply needed a new part, but he warned me because of the age of unit, not to expect much more life, but you never know. My house, a flip from the original 1963 version, has good bones, let’s just pray I have a job again if/when my unit blows. Ha ha (pun unintended but works)
I know who I’ll be calling if that happens!
