Murph told my wife that our dryer was a total loss, but he never used an electrical continuity tester. He was probably just too lazy to lift my stacked dryer onto the floor and open it up. My neighbor was able to get the dryer working in less than one hour with an $80 wiring harness part. I recommend using Telco, ask for Shane.

I called Murph and informed him that his 'total loss' diagnosis of my dryer was wrong. When I told him that the dryer was now working, he changed his story and said he never told my wife the dryer was a total loss. I asked for my money back, he said he would write a check. Weeks passed, no check. I had my wife call Murph's office. There was no answer, only voicemail. Her call was not returned.

I am reporting Murph to the BBB. I am surprised by all the positive reviews as my experience was very negative. I will be spreading the word about Murph, he is not an honest person.

I had a fridge break on a Friday night. Murf was the only repairman I could get a hold of on a Saturday and got things fixed correctly the first time out. He was honest, straightforward and realistic about what needed done and whether the repair was worth it (i.e. versus buying a new fridge). I will definitely call Murf's in the future and would recommend you do to.

Thought our washing machine had died. Murf came out and quickly found and fixed the problem first time out. No attempt to "up-sell". He was easy to get ahold of and very responsive. Great value for money.
Shared his private number incase number listed on website didn't work. A few months later our ice maker died. Again, prompt response, quick diagnosis, straightforward repair. Murf is a trustworthy, competent appliance repairman. Highly recommended

We are new to Boise and picked Murph to do a GE refrigerator repair because he was a small, local business with good reviews. He is prompt, a clear communicator, very nice, honest, and knows his appliances and their issues. We would not hesitate to call him again in the future!

Murf is a solid guy with a good knowledge and understanding of appliances. For my kitchenaid dishwasher he was able to jump in and do a same-day repair as he was in the area. A quick look at the drain line and assessment of the filter resulted in a simple cleaning and no additional upcharges. Reran a few cycles and everything was up and running - also good insights on additional maintenance items in the kitchen.

Our Samsung washing machine stopped draining a few months ago. We called Murf and he came by to diagnose the issue the same day, he ordered everything and had it fixed within the week. Washer has beens working great ever since. Incredibly reasonable and educational. Needless to say our experience has been exceptional.

These days it seems very difficult to talk directly with repairmen and we left messages with several different repairmen and Murf was the only one to even return our call. He was very responsive, came the next day and returned a week later when parts arrived. He was friendly, courteous, efficient and professional

Not a happy customer. Called to request Murf repair my refrigerator and was clear over the phone that I was pretty sure it was the compressor. Described what was happening in great detail. Murf came to my house, checked a few things asked the description again and confirmed it was the compressor. He then said he couldn't fix the compressor and I was out his service charge. If he knew he wasn't able to fix the compressor before he came, he shouldn't have come at all and he definitely shouldn't have charged me $50 for his time when he knew he wouldn't be applying the fee towards the repair.

Our fridge broke on the day we just got groceries and we were in a bind. Of the 4 companies we called, Murph was the only company that could come out the next day. He quickly resolved the problem and the fridge has worked perfectly ever since. He is very personable and professional and I will recommend him to anyone. Great local company and a breath of fresh air when compared to the big national conglomerates. We keep the magnet on the fridge he fixed and we know who we are calling from now on.

I chose Murf's because the competition wanted $30 more. In this case I got way more than I paid for. He was extremely thorough and made sure my washer and dryer were hooked up correctly. The scheduling was very flexible so I didn't have to take any time off of work. I will absolutely call again if I ever need something fixed quickly and correctly.

Murf came to repair our dryer. His motive to save us money had him returning two-three times, but his persistence was impressive and he didn't over charge us. The dryer works great and we will be calling him the next time we need an appliance repaired!

Murf saved the day! We were closing on our home, when we smelled gas underneath the cooktop. We called Murf, and he was able to stop by, after his regular business hours, on the day we called him. He had it repaired early the next morning. I’d recommend him to anyone looking for an appliance repairman.

We've had Murph out to repair a couple of our appliances, most recently the washer. He informed me it was not valuable enough to be worth the cost of repair. I appreciate honesty in a business owner. I have been satisfied with the other two times he has repaired appliances for us.

I've used Murf two times now, once for a Samsung Dryer and once for a Jennair Oven/Stove combo. Both times he was knowledgeable about the appliance and what needed to be done to repair it. He was always a great communicator and willing to work around my busy schedule. He is clean, shows up on time, and is easy to get along with! Highly recommend!

Our refrigerator went out in the evening, and I wanted to find someone that could repair it early the next day. Even though Murfs had a full schedule, they squeezed in coming to the house, diagnosing the problem, and then fixing it. Murf was friendly, knowledgeable, and quick with his repairs. I greatly appreciated their excellent service and wouldn't hesitate recommending this repair services to colleagues, friends, and family in the future.

I called Murf when I was having a problem with my freezer. He came out the same afternoon and quickly diagnosed the problem. I was impressed that he not only thoroughly explained the problem, but also kindly helped us weigh the pros and cons of repairing versus replacing the freezer. When we decided to go with a repair he sourced the parts quickly and returned within 48 hours to resolve the problem. I'll definitely be calling Murf again the next time I have an appliance issue!

Did Murf get the job done? Yes but if you don't want your repair man snooping through your house, find someone else. He was not invited to come and sit at our kitchen table and he was not invited to go to our kitchen and open the fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Yet he did. He did not ask if it was ok to do so. He was also very degrading to me and talking down to me. He will NOT be working for us again! A note to Murf: Do NOT belittle your customers like you did me. REMEMBER THIS, YOU ARE WORKING FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS. NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. BE POLITE, BE KIND AND MOST OF ALL... BE RESPECTFUL!!! YOU DID NONE OF THIS WHILE WORKING FOR US!

Murf has been my repair guy for several years. He always comes asap, fixes the appliance the first time, and if there is anything a bit "off" sound wise he sticks with it until he figures out the reason and gets it resolved. He has never disappointed me once price wise or ability wise. Good guy!

My fridge stopped working and I called Murf on a Saturday during his daughter's game. He was extremely polite and kind towards me even though it was a weekend. He came after the game and fixed my fridge. Murf is wonderful! He was extremely kind, helpful and went above and beyond for me! I would highly recommend him to everyone I know! Definitely the best appliance repair service in town!!
