David and his team are 100% professional, fairly priced, and laser focus attention to detail. He did an amazing job installing new hvac system(furnace and ac) to our home and his commitment to quality is terrific. He answered every dumb question I had, was super responsive, and even followed up. I cannot recommend enough! My wife is complaining its too cold inside even though its 90 out, so we know this is a major win!

Larson mechanical is one of the best HVAC companies I've ever dealt with. David and his team of specialist did a great job with my heating and air, one of the cleanest installs I've seen in the HVAC world. Not to mention the fair pricing and down to earth customer service. Larsen Mechanical is a first rate company. From the moment I called to the service they provided was great. I have a Daiken ductless system that needed service. They were professional and honest. I will not hesitate to use them again and will recommend them to others.

These guys are top notch in not only customer service, but quality and pricing! If you make the same mistake I did and not call them first, make them your second opinion, you'll thank yourself later.

I started out with my A/C down, and initially I called a different HVAC company, we'll call them Pinky. Pinky came to my house, overcharged me for a capacitor that didn't fix the problem. Then when Pinky returned, they tried to grossly overcharge me for what they said is NOW a bad compressor, but refused to refund me for the incorrect repair. At that time, I wanted a second opinion and a good friend said to call Larson Mechanical, who they strongly trust.

First person I talked to was Kayleen, who is wonderful! Even though I didn't ask, she got David to stop by the same day. David confirmed the compressor was bad, and quoted me a price 20% less than Pinky, and explained the pros/cons of fixing compressor vs. new a/c system. He then found me an new upgraded A/C unit, installed, for only about $1,400 more than what Pinky had quoted me for just a compressor!
They got the new A/C unit installed just a few days later, inspected my system and found some shortcomings that were missing from the initial A/C install when the house was built (incorrect sensor placement, improper wiring, missing filters) and fixed/corrected them all without charging another penny!

They're definitely worth more than the great prices they charge, and I immediately scheduled them again for duct cleaning. Larson Mechanical are my go-to for now on!

Larson Mechanical may of had the best service I have ever had with a vendor. Top notch service followed by Top notch work. I will never use anyone else to service my furnace or my air conditioner. They are super professional backed with fair prices and its easy to see they put everything into their craft. Thank you for your great service.

Larson Mechanical is simply the best and most efficient HVAC company I’ve ever worked with!! David and Kayleen were extremely easy, accommodating and pleasant to do business with- Most importantly, after four other companies checked my system and suggested that I replace a three year old $25k + system David and crew knew after 1/2 hour what the original installation problem was and had my system working as soon as the correct parts were delivered and installed!! Truly a breath of fresh air- highly recommend!!

Came over to install the air conditioner and did an amazing job, my house is now cool for the hot summer!!

Capital City did a wonderful job with our garage furnace install. I am so impressed with their customer service and care for the customer. It is nice to do business with a company that can be trusted and sincerely cares for the customer.

Second time this year Gary has been out for planned service and maintenance. Very thorough and more than willing to answer questions. They have more than met and exceeded expectations. I would recommend this company and my technician to family.

My experience with Capital City started off well- my HVAC system went down 2 weeks ago so I made an appointment to have it checked. Miguel, the technician was very friendly and knowledgeable. Over a lengthy discussion, we determined that I needed to replace my entire system. Not the kind of news you want to hear, but I wasn't surprised due to its age and the amount of problems I've had in the past. I signed some paperwork and he said I would have a quote for the whole job in an email the next day. Cool! I was so impressed that I didn't even call another company to come look at it- I was going with these guys!

Well.... 6 days went by and a quote never showed up. I called the office and the girl said she had no information for me. She said I needed to make an appointment for them to send someone out to give me an estimate. Whaaaat?! Because I have a tenant in the house, I had to do a lot of coordinating to line up a time for the first appointment that worked for me, the tenant, and the tech. So now they're telling me I have to go through all of that again, just so they can have someone come out and do the exact same thing all over again just 6 days later?? Why hadn't the quote already been worked up when it was promised the next day? Where was the paperwork I signed? Why had they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about? If I hadn't called the number on the paperwork the tech gave me, and that I was holding in my hand, I would have thought I was talking to a completely different business!

Because I put my faith in this company to follow through with their word, I delayed getting proper heat to my tenant for an extra week- relying on inadequate alternatives in the middle of winter. Judging by their other reviews, I have to assume this doesn't happen all the time, but I personally could never trust an entire HVAC replacement job to a company that can't even figure out how to do an estimate for said work.

UPDATE:
After my initial review (originally 1 star), the owners reached out to me with genuine concern. From what I understand, it was likely the tech that dropped the ball and caused the issue. Rather than throw the tech under the bus, they took full accountability and said that it was clearly their fault for not properly training the technician and/or hadn't made expectations clear. I was pleased to hear that they took ultimate responsibility for the mistake, and that says a lot as far as I'm concerned.
The owners also personally showed up to my house on a Sunday evening to redo the estimate, which I also really appreciated.

They gave me a quote over the phone, and said that they would email me an official estimate soon, which I looked forward to so I could learn more about the specific equipment that they were planning on installing. That estimate unfortunately never showed up. Again.

I've updated my review to 3 stars for the extra effort they put in, and they were really quite pleasant to talk with, but at the end of the day I was twice told that I would have an estimate to look at, and I simply never got one.

Do NOT use this company. They were all nice and friendly when they sold us a furnace and water heater in 2021 for $6000. Fast forward 2 years and our water heater went out and is still under warranty. They sent out a tech and charged us $185 service charge and said it was fixed. That was 4 days ago and our water heater still doesn't work. They ghosted us with an appointment and said they were too busy. So now we have to call a different company to come and fix it which cost $400. This is not an honest company and we highly recommend you do not use them. Buyer Beware

Great communication, timely and thorough. I'm on twice yearly maintenance with this company and it really gives me piece of mind knowing my HVAC system has been checked/maintained and repaired when necessary.

We needed our once a year servicing and decided to try Capital this time. Kip came and he was just great. He explained to me what he was doing, didn’t mind me pestering him with questions. Very good, I’d definitely use this company again. Oh yeah, Jane was great on the phone making my appointment. Customer Service is a big deal with me and this company delivers!

The staff at Capital City Heating and Cooling are always professional, helpful, and focused on providing a great experience at every interaction.

I've used them for several years now and have had them make repairs (they came after hours without an additional fee), maintain my units yearly, and provide advice on the life of my equipment. While many companies would say it is time to replace equipment based on age alone, they are always thoughtful, give me the real details of my unit and let me know that the equipment is in good condition and is in good working order so there is no real reason to change it out. When they tell me it is time, I'll trust them.

I have an ongoing service contract with them and it is the best money I've spent on this kind of service. Highly recommended.

I don't see a future where I'd use another company as long as they continue to provide this level of professional service. Highly recommended!

Miguel came out to our home quick and diagnosed and fixed our problem. I would recommend them to friends and family.

I had a previous issue that they were good to address. Having worked with them for over a decade in my current home and more previously, they've been consistently responsive when I've brought up inevitable issues as they've occurred. I've used their services for AC, furnace and even installing a spur to my gas line, no complaints. The natural consequence of their good service is that their popularity has increased, so make sure you schedule routine services early to avoid a long wait.

We have used Capital City multiple times over the years and have always been very pleased with their services. We have had to have them repair both our AC unit and our furnace on different occasions, and they have always been incredibly professional and up front about any repair fees, and arrive within a reasonable amount of time after calling them. Their prices are very reasonable and we have never felt like they were taking advantage of us. This past summer we used them to replace our AC unit and furnace - we decided to replace them before they went out on us (they were both almost 19 years old). We decided to get some bids on replacing them and their bid was THOUSANDS of dollars less than the other company, even with upgrading to a bigger AC unit. They gave us a couple bids for different brand units and we felt the tech was honest and knowledgeable when we asked about the differences. They even gave us the paperwork to send in for a rebate offered from the gas company. We scheduled the install and they were on time and had it completed by early afternoon. We never hesitate to recommend them to friends and family and will definitely use them again in the future.

David always shows up on time and calls before he arrives. I used to stand over his shoulder while he worked but I don’t feel the need to do that anymore. He’s straightforward in his approach to our AC and furnace. I always feel I get an honest report from Capital City and they are always welcome in our house! Customers for life! Thanks guys!
