Plumbing reviews in Boise, Idaho

Jaime came out to check my HVAC system and did an amazing job of checking the entire system and going above and beyond. He took pictures and showed me the inside of my system and how he cleaned up what should have been done by the new construction contracts when the system was initially installed a few years ago. He was honest and didn't attempt to up-sell unnecessary repairs. I appreciate Jaime's professionalism and honesty and highly recommend Wickstrom to anyone needing any of the services they offer.

What great customer service! We had a water leak a week before Christmas. Wickstrom had us on schedule to repair the line the very next day! After draining all the water from the hole it was discovered that it was the meter that had failed. Colton was so good about contacting Veolia and explaining everything. The whole crew was just fantastic during a rather stressful event. Everyone were professional, knowledgeable & considerate. Thank you Conner, Jake, Colton, Cody and crew and Mary Ann & Helen! The Wickstrom staff truly cares about their customers.

I had Todd come over to perform a normal checkup and flush of my waterheater. Not only was he respectful and timely, he was the most friendly, welcoming and helpful person from tips on how to maintain the health and longevity of the waterpipes and heater for my house all the way to helping fix miscellaneous switches that didnt even have to do with any plumbing. I could not recommend and thank Todd McAdoo enough for all the help and conversation.

Todd is such a professional in taking care of the plumbing needs. He walked me through every step that is going to be performed. Carter is the HVAC guy and he is extremely knowledgeable and explained everything that he was doing and helpfull with preventative maintenance. All in all from the people on the phone to the guys that came over are top notch... Keep up the good work!

We recently had our original shower—over 25 years old—completely replaced, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Todd was the plumber who handled the install, and he was outstanding.
He arrived right on time and sent a text ahead of his arrival, which was greatly appreciated. Todd was professional, courteous, and clearly very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the work, answered questions clearly, and completed the installation with great attention to detail.
The finished shower looks fantastic, and everything was done cleanly and efficiently. It’s reassuring to work with a company that values communication, punctuality, and quality craftsmanship. I would absolutely recommend this plumbing company—and especially Todd—for any plumbing work. -
Wickstrom Plumbing Heating and Cooling is the only company I’ll use. They have excellent customer service and ethical treatment of their customers starting at the top. I’m absolutely relieved that I found them. I’m a single woman with very little technical or technological know-how. They’ve done an excellent job only charging me what is needed at a fair price. They haven’t oversold me on unnecessary products. They are efficient in their work and know their stuff. Every tech has been kind and helpful going above and beyond. I especially want to praise Jaime Suarez. He’s a young guy but very meticulous in his work. He’s a hard worker and built trust by helping me understand, in layman’s terms, what he was doing and what was wrong. As a mom I’m super proud of him. He’s building an excellent career made up of hard work, dedication and care for his fellow human. Wickstrom is lucky to have him.

I don’t think most people look back fondly on the day a water pipe explodes in their crawl space…but we actually do. A couple of years ago, that’s exactly what happened to us. We were lucky enough to call Wickstrom first. They came out quickly, fixed the immediate problem along with a few others we didn’t even realize existed, and left us feeling much better about our home. Since then, Wickstrom has been our first call whenever we’ve needed help. We’ve never had a bad experience, everyone we’ve worked with has been helpful, professional, and respectful. That said, our latest visit really stood out.
Ryan Urch was friendly, hardworking, and knowledgeable (what more can you ask for!?). This visit was for our HVAC system, which we had basically ignored since buying our home. By the time Ryan finished, we understood what was working, what wasn’t, and what our options were going forward. In about an hour, he helped us go from knowing almost nothing to feeling confident and informed.
Wickstrom will always be our go-to for anything around the house. We’ve had so many great experiences with their team, and our visit with Ryan is one we’ll genuinely remember. -
We called to have service and was told a plumber was close by and would come after the job he was on and that he was almost finished. We waited over an hour and called again again was told he would come shortly a half hour or so. After a couple of hours we talked to the plumber and he said he was on his way. We waited over five hours! No show no call and when we called the office they were closed and when we called the plumber he did not answer his phone. If he would have given us the truth or a courtesy call stated he couldn't make it we could have called another plumber. Now it is Friday and no way to get another plumber here until Monday and the water is off due to the leak!

Very few businesses have a combination of great customer service, efficient operational logistics and excellent technical skill and knowledge. Drain Pro Plumbing is such a company with an amazing staff who is service oriented, respectful and knowledgeable. We have used several HVAC companies in the Boise area (Western Heating and Cooling, Drake Mechanical, Ashley Heating & Air, Jims Heating and Coolings) but none is any match for Drain Pro's superior service. Even though Drain Pro's price was less than its competitors, I would pay a higher cost to receive their superior service.

After my first call with Drain pro plumbing boise i am very happy with their work! My Air Conditioner had cone out on me at the worst possible time. Memorial day weekend right as things started heating up. My tech keith arrived at the house a little bit before the scheduled time. He was was able to quickly troubleshoot and find the problem with the air conditioning unit, he then provided me with a detailed estimate and further arranged another visit since the parts that are needed were not available at the time by the supplier. Giving it was a holiday weekend this is understandable. Tuesday following memorial day keith was able to come out and get things back up and running of for me. Will use anytime i need HVAC help and have already began recommending to friends and family.

My AC unit stopped working with out notice last week. After calling a few different Boise air conditioner repair companies i choose to go with darin pro plumbing. Keith was able to make it out within just a few hours of my call. Before he started the work he went over the different options I had to fix the ac unit and do some preventive maintenance to my furnace as well. (I have completely neglected my furnace for the last 5 years.)
Both my ac unit and my furnace are just under 10 years old so i didnt want to spend a ton of money on something that I would most likely have to replace in a few years anyways.
Im very impressed with how much everything cost to get done. He spend just over two hours fixing and cleaning the units and making sure they were all good to go. The price was very fair and he even told me he guarantees his work. I really hope this extends the life of my furnace and air conditioning systems. Thanks Keith for your honesty and integrity. I hope its years away, but when the day comes that i need to replace everything i will be calling Drain pro with out hesitation -
Many five-star reviews of Drain Pro refer to their responses to plumbing emergencies. Most anyone would be grateful to have any plumber stop the nocturnal leaking. What sets the best companies apart is the expertise and caring they show across the scope of ALL plumbing projects. A one-star review is for below-average service. Drain Pro is obsessed with collecting the most monies while offering a dismissively low grade of repair/installation work; a quality that emerges when there is nothing above the neck but garbage. A knowledgable consumer is a threat to these folks. I needed a water heater replacement and did the homework. I called and specified to them a unit with a 20 year warranty. Such high quality units are everywhere on the net, yet non-existent within the walls of No Brain Pro. Upon completion of the replacement, I observed and found that they had installed a WH with a 10 year warranty. They then offered me a $100 concession to avoid being labeled as negligent. They also failed to put a drain pan underneath the unit. And they dare to describe themselves in advertising propaganda as 'experts' There is unequivocally nothing above their heads but garbage, and potential customers, "Beyond question, you risk damaging your home and pocketbook by judging them worthy of your plumbing needs." LOOKOUT!

This was my first call with drain pro and i couldn't have been happier with the work they did. My air conditioner had gone out on me and after calling a few different Boise hvac companies i choose to go with Drain pro air conditioning because of how knowledgeable i felt Keith the owner was over the phone. Just from explaining the situation and answering a few questions he already had a good idea of the problem that was going on. He was able to stop in and give me a better detailed estimate of what it would cost to fix my AC problem. I gave him the go ahead yesterday and today my air conditioning unit is already back up and going as well as a small plumbing issue he fixed for free. If you ever need a plumber or hvac company i would highly recommend keith and his team.

The pilot light on our 8 year old water heater went out and would not re-light. I had another Boise plumbing company come out initially and they gave us the option to replace the gas control valve for $384 or install a new water heater for $1,672. It made sense to do the replacement but the price seemed very high. Our home was built in late 2004 and the existing installation met current codes so there were no modifications to make. It was a simple plug and play type installation aside from the tight fit in the attic. I decided to check other Boise plumbing companies and started calling the top rated ones from Google.
I called Drain Pro Plumbing among others on Saturday afternoon. After a few frustrating calls because no one could come out until Monday and would not even give me an approximate idea of their charges for a replacement without first making a service call to assess. I actually understood why this was the case and resigned myself to just deciding on the best option on Monday morning. Well, I received a call from Jason at Drain Pro late on Saturday asking if I would like to have Keith (who turned out to be the owner) come by on Sunday to assess the problem. I agreed and Todd showed up right on schedule and completed a review of the problem. He also recommended the best option was a replacement and provided a quote that was 20% less than the first company.
It was Lloyd with an assistant who came out on Monday for the installation. They arrived on time and completed the job professionally and on time. The whole experience with Drain pro plumbing was pleasant and I especially like the idea of a privately owned company that is focused on taking care of their customers at a reasonable rate.
Drain Pro does not pay their plumbers a commission on replacing equipment like some others do. Keith explained that he does not believe in that approach because of the possible conflict of interest created by that pay structure. He does, however, pay bonuses or provide other incentives based on positive feedback from his customers. While I don't look forward to our next plumbing related problem, I am very happy to say that we now have a very good, trustworthy and reliable Boise plumbing company from now on. -
We had a new furnace with a whole house humidifier installed to replace one that had not failed, but was pretty old. The heating and cooling company installed the furnace, humidifier, thermostat, outside temp/humidity sensor. They also added an additional heat run (ducting and vent) at my request to improve the comfort of our TV room. They disposed of the old unit, cleaned up after themselves, and took great care to keep the floors and carpets undamaged throughout the experience.
I took advantage of one of Drain Pro's furnace inspections through a deal they had a couple of years ago. The Boise heating and air service tech was very professional, cleaned the unit completely and was honest about it's condition and the fact that it would last us a while longer. When we decided to do the replacement we did due diligence and got several bids from different Boise heating and air conditioning companies. Drain Pro heating and air was fair and no-nonsense. For example, we got a bid from Sears and the salesman bid over a thousand higher than Drain pro plumbers Boise and then started playing games with "cash discount", make a decision today and get a discount, etc. His bid was still overpriced after all of that. He also bad-mouthed another manufacturer's furnace that we had gotten a bid on, even thought I already knew that the other manufacturer was rated highly for quality.
Keith, the owner, was helpful and very knowledgeable about his industry. We enjoyed dealing with him from start to finish. His Boise heating and air techs were also very good and did quality work. We had one glitch with a thermostat that I had requested not being capable of handling our new humidifier unit, because the supplier misinformed them about the capabilities of the thermostat. Keith not only took responsibility and made it good, he installed a better thermostat to insure we were happy. I will unconditionally recommend Drain Pro plumbing Boise to friends and family, and I think you will be very happy with them also. Get bid from other Boise heating and air conditioning companies, but don't decide until you talk with Keith -
Called this morning for them to come out. Said they would come 3-5. Called to see if I was still in the list and they said I was never on the list and they wouldn’t be out today when they are a 24/7 service. So now me and my children have to go without hot water. They said they needed the homeowners number. I gave that in the morning call and when I called them they said they never had the owners info. To say I’m pissed is an understatement.

These Electricians are super rad. They do a lot of great work and will always recommend them and this company to anyone who asks!

Spencer and Wyatt installed a new kitchen sink and toilet. In order to install the new sink, Spencer had to trim about 1/4" on three sides and round two corners for it to fit properly. No damage to the laminate countertop. Work areas were clean when they left. Great work & friendly service. Yes, I'd hire them again.

Colby came out and addressed all of my concerns and even found several things that I didn’t know were potentially dangerous. He was clean cut and showed up with a great attitude. He made sure my needs were met the entire time he was present and even though I had several questions he patiently walked me through each step of the process. The service I received from Magic was second to none and I would have Colby back in my home any time.

Ryan and Kris were right on time and did a great job listening to our needs and walking us through the options for our electrical projects. They were professional, clear, and easy to work with. We were able to get a couple of the projects completed during the visit, and decided to hold off on one for a bit. Pricing felt reasonable, and with team members like Kris and Ryan, Magic Electric is definitely easy to recommend!
