Cam arrived on time for my appointment, Introduced himself, was friendly and informative for the whole visit. Showed me things about the system, why he was there for the upkeep maintenance and what to look for in the future. Cam did a very nice job.

Mike Shelburne did a great job with HVAC service. And my cats also highly approve. My HVAC systems are more complex than average. The maintenance agreement isn't cheap but you get what you pay for. If you want quality, reliability and local service, poorman's is for you.

I have always been pleased with the service provided by Poormans. And yesterday we received service from their technician, Bremen S, that went above and beyond all expectations. He arrived promptly and cheerfully for probably the most dreaded of service calls…a decomposing animal (turned out to be 2!) in the furnace intake. He cleaned things up thoroughly and without any complaints. We’re very grateful and want to thank him again and publicly.

Poorman's Heating and Air is fantastic! I'll be a customer for life.

I was very fortunate that I was connected to Poorman's through my neighbor, who works there. When my heat stopped working a few weeks ago, I posted on my neighborhood Facebook group asking for recommendations for HVAC companies. The first suggestion was for a different company, who put me on their schedule for the next morning. My neighbor who works at Poorman's sent me a message and said that if that company gave me a severe diagnosis or showed me a picture of a cracked heat exchanger, to let him know, and Poorman's would give me a second opinion.

Well, that's exactly what happened. The company said that my heat exchanger was cracked and my thermostat was broken, and because of my cracked heat exchanger, I needed an entire new furnace, which would cost at least $10k.

So, I messaged my neighbor and called Poorman's. My neighbor had let the office know I'd be calling, so they were already in the loop. Poorman's confirmed that my heat exchanger was cracked and I needed a new thermostat. But they explained that having a cracked heat exchanger didn't mean I needed an entire new furnace; it just meant I needed a new heat exchanger. And in fact, they said that my heat exchanger was still under warranty, so I only had to pay for labor. The first company didn't even tell me my heat exchanger was still under warranty; they said my only option was to replace the entire furnace.

In the end, the cost to replace my heat exchanger (under warranty) and thermostat was a fraction of what the first company quoted me. And now I know I can trust Poorman's. Unlike the other company, they aren't here to sell you the most expensive solution they can; they're here to solve your problem. I've told everyone I know to avoid that other company and to use Poorman's. Thank you, Poorman's!

Having our furnace serviced by Poormans in the fall, and our AC in the spring, helps keep things running smoothly for us. Service Technician, Mike Shelburne was out today, and not only gave our furnace a very thorough going over, but was very friendly, and asked us afterward if we had any questions, and chatted for a bit, since it was the end of the day.

Amazing Experience! Great service and great customer service. Purchased a new 96% efficiency furnace ( After getting more than one quote on pricing- they had the best prices) Came back a few months later and joined their annual service program. A few weeks after joining this program something went out on my AC unit. They worked around my availability and got the AC unit up and running. I was referred to Poorman's. Best referral I have gotten.

Billy was incredible! We have a boiler heating system in our home that recently stopped working. Called another company who charged us $100 to come out, they spent maybe 10 minutes on the system and said we had an electrical issue and left. We addressed any possible electrical issues, then couldn't get a response from the company to come back out. Attempted to contact a 2nd company who never responded at all. Contacted Poorman's and immediately were in communication with someone gathering details and setting up an appt. Fast forward to today. Received a text ahead of time that tech was on his way. Billy arrived and was professional the entire time. He was very thorough investigating the system to determine the problem(s). Once it was diagnosed, he immediately left to get parts and was back within the hour. Made the repairs, and then went a step further to check our crawlspace to ensure we didn't have any leaks in our pipes. Poorman's, you have a customer for life and it was all thanks to how much Billy went above and beyond. Truly appreciated!

From Ryan to Mitch to Nolan, they made the purchase and install of our new Trane Furnace and Air units painless. Thank guys and office ladies for everything. Billy serviced our furnace this year. We switched to Poormans this year from another HVAC provider in Fort Wayne as we felt we were being charged too much. After reading reviews we tried Poormans. We are very happy we did. Billy showed up on time; did his job and answered all my questions. Hes pleasant and cordial. Glad we made the switch.

I had an maintain agreement with Rolf Griffin for years. I was told at their last visit that it would cost over 4k for a repair., but suggested that I replace the entire system with their Advanced program. I got a second opinion from Poormans, and my repair cost was $570. Mike was the technician that was sent out, and he had us back up and running right away. He was very professional, but most of all he was honest. Thanks Mike we appreciate it all. BLESSINGS!
