Appliance Repair reviews in Indianapolis, Indiana

The technician you came out and repaired. Our Samsung refrigerator was very nice and very good. The problem I have with the company is there phone support. When asking them a question they had no answer when being told it would call back. They did not call back on the day of service the first time they let me know that they didn't have the part. I called them the night before and they couldn't let me know that. So I wasted a day getting somebody at the house to to be available for when the technician was going to show up.

After using and being very impressed by Mr. Appliance for several years, we were disappointed today. Always before I have received confirmation of my scheduled repair and have received notification of a window of time for the repair person to arrive. This time when I still hadn’t received any communication about today’s scheduled repair, I called again. After being put on hold for six minutes I was told that someone would be arriving between 2:30 and 4:30. She (the repair person) called at 1:30 to say she’d be early and was about 20 minutes away. Shortly after that, she called again to say that she was going to Lowe’s for a needed part. When she arrived, she was prepared to work on my washing machine, not my stove. I had, indeed, had Mr. Appliance out a year ago to work on my washer, but had clearly asked for service for my stove when I called to request a repair. After waiting several weeks for service, someone had miscommunicated my request. Long story short, I’ll be buying a new stove and will have to think long and hard before calling Mr. Appliance agsin.

Needed to fix a broken latch on a microwave. Came for an initial review of the microwave, told us the cost and said they had to order a part. Part came in and they scheduled a day to come install. Window was 3:30-5:30, and I got an alert at 2 p.m. that technician was on his way. I immediately called and said look, I'm not home because it's 1.5 hours before the window started. Said they would contact the technician and get back to me. No one did, so I went home. Never showed (he said later he had a family emergency, which I get happens and family always comes first - but we had ZERO communication from the company). Today, they said they would arrive between 11:45-1:45. Then, they called to say it would be between 10:30-12:30. I stay home, wait and wait and finally get a text around 2:30 saying he's on his way. I respond that I have to pick up my daughters from school at 3:30. No response. He shows up, so I ask if he can be done by then. Says maybe. I go upstairs, come back down an hour later to see how it's going. Not only did they not fix it, but they broke it further. We called because the latch didn't work quite right and required an extra shove. After he worked on it, it now won't work at all. By this time, I had to get my daughters from school. I explained I was frustrated because I'd been kept waiting all day with no communication, and now my daughter will have to miss ballet because I have to be here. Got the girls from school and was on my way back when I got a text saying they didn't know why the microwave wasn't working (again, it worked FINE minus the latch before they got to it), and he didn't want my daughter to miss ballet so they were leaving and would refund us. I called immediately because 1) we had already missed our window to get to ballet, so this was moot, and 2) I wanted him to stay and fix it or at least explain the issue to me. He didn't pick up. So I texted. Nothing. My husband called from his phone. No answer. Got home 5 minutes later and he was gone and our microwave completely unusable. But he left behind some equipment, so I suspect he'll be back.
We've talked to the office here in Indy, and they couldn't care less. When we asked about why they were showing up before and after the windows provided, they repeatedly told us that "we don't understand how they do scheduling." Clearly not, because I thought a window of time meant that time, not an hour and a half before and after, too. Look, i get stuff happens. But tell us you're running late. They gave us a refund for what we paid, thankfully... but the repairs will now cost MORE because they broke it further. Only reason we hired them is because we're selling our home and this was a request of the new owners. We now won't be able to complete it in time for closing. We asked if they'd provide a replacement (you know, since they made it completely unusable) and they said no. We're in the process of reporting to BBB. Stay clear of this company. -

Had these guys come fix my washer about a year and a half ago. Was good. Just moved and my washer broke again. Luckily the day of my move, I received a text from Mr Appliance offering me a coupon for $100 off for appliance wellness check. When I called to inquire, 2 different people had no idea what I was talking about. They said they would send me more info which they never did. Scheduled an appointment on a day anyways. Waited until the day before at 6PM to receive the time of the appointment which was scheduled for the morning even though I requested the afternoon to which they could not fix. Must be a lack of communication within the workplace. Update: They still tried calling me next day AT the time i told them i wasn't available. Definitely lack of communication

Fantastic experience. Filled out an appointment request over the weekend and received a call Monday morning to confirm. Made mention that I was home all day and if they had anything sooner than the Wednesday appointment that was available online that would work really well. Within a few minutes I got a call back saying there was a technician that was able to come today. A couple hours later, Chris arrived and had our washer back up and running in no time. Had pictures of the problem on his tablet to show and even saw something else in the picture he didn't like and took it back apart to make sure that it was fixed and not going to be a problem. Very professional and friendly. Will use them again for sure!

I wish I could give 0 stars this is the worst appliance company I've heard of. Waited around for months to be diagnosed wrong. For me to pay a price that didnt fix it. Now I am charged for the restocking and shipping back of wrong part. Don't waste youre time or money

They were unable to give me any kind of typical hourly labor costs to factor into the end costs for a simple fix.
-
David was on time, completed the repairs efficiently and kept me informed as he proceeded. Very professional.
-
Repair guy was great and even came out late and got everything up and running and the communication was up to date the entire time.
-
Paid $129.00 for a “professional” to give us incorrect information leading to a much louder dishwasher. Avoid these people as they don’t know what they’re doing.
-
Great service from the technician Andy. Prompt and courtesy were outstanding. Fixed the problem in no time and answered all my questions.
-
Both gentleman were very knowledgeable and provided perfessional service. Will definitely recommend!
