Appliance Repair reviews in Indianapolis, Indiana

The technician they sent to my home was knowledgeable. He had his own tools. He knew how to look up parts. He would give me his opinion. He was spot on about predictions. Eric was honest and reliable. I would recommend him and this company to anyone.

We had our washing machine go out! The circuit board went out and it looked like we might have to junk our relatively new but out of warranty machine! Ryan came over four times until he found a wire that had shorted out! He stuck with it, explained what had happened clearly, and was very polite and respectful! Would call again and ask for Ryan!

This is a legit scam, they charge for services that they do not complete. Good luck getting ahold of them after "service", front desk will just disconnect phone randomly so you cant even leave message. I fell for it without looking at other reviews, not even going to bother writing an essay on how bad this company is.

I bought a washer and dryer from them, called the store back after they drop off the washer & dryer with a wrong cord telling me they're coming back the following day with the right cord but they've been telling me they've got no driver to bring and and do the installation. Now they won't even pick up the phone and when they do, they'll keep me on hold for a long while only to come back and tell the same story. Now they are yelling and banging the phone while still on the line. I regret ever going into the store or having any business with these people.

This was the most unprofessional service I have ever experienced! Poor communication, rude personnel both on the call end and the service end, overpromised and underdelivered, unresponsive, very late for service window, and more. The only reason I am giving a 2 star is because I FINALLY have a working oven. I would NOT recommend them nor would I ever use them again.

The F9 error code appeared on our oven and we contacted Indy Appliance Xperts. They sent someone out the same day and was able to fix our oven. The price was very affordable. Thank you!

Dirty business that has an F rating with the BBB. They will string you along for a month sometimes failing to show up for appointments, and then if they fail to do what they promised they will use the "no refunds" at the bottom of their quote sheet as en excuse to not pay you back. They legally cannot do that if the service was never actually complete, and I hope someone one day has the time to bring a lawsuit to these losers. Don't go with this company unless you have a lot of free time and enjoy being forced to make credit card disputes due to failure to render service. Do not accept an appliance trade from them you lose your ability to dispute.

Paid $400 for them to fix my ice maker and it still doesn’t work. Had them come back to see what else was wrong, the technician looked at the freezer and said our fridge must be going out. That would have been nice to know before I paid the $400. Would not recommend.

1) I saw in store that drawer to pedestal wasn’t closed, they said it was due to THEIR FLOORING (uneven). Got it home..NEVER CLOSED ( cuz it’s broke ), and wouldn’t fix it.
2) washer wasn’t pushing bleach or Softner thru, repairman came out, took the piece out that holds the liquid, cleaned it, poured hot water into it. He didn’t pull it out to check if mechanism /hose was clogged, or anything. Just proceeded to tell me HOW to do it, when it happens again. Basically a TEMPORARY FIX. Used or not, I shouldn’t have to do any maintenance, especially if I’ve had it a lil over a month ( warranty expired ) So, now after paying $600+ for the set, I have to find someone to pay, to come fix it. -
I just want to warn others - "Indy Appliance Xperts" aka JBN Family Appliance does not have honorable practices. Dave came out to diagnose our dryer issue. He quickly diagnosed it as the heating element, which is very expensive to fix ($383.42 +$90 service call). He said he would have to order the part, but we decided to wait. We got a second opinion and they took the dryer apart and let us know it was a very cheap part, a thermostat fuse. They also told us you have to take the dryer apart to test the heating element (which Dave did not do, the dryer still had the manufacture tape on it). I called Indy Appliance Xperts back and let them know about the misdiagnosis, and I was told that it's their practice to quote the most expensive part, and then if they find out its something cheaper, they only charge for that. I'm sure if I would have ordered the heating element as instructed, we would have been stuck paying for it. Just beware before you use them.

I wish I could share today’s experience with JBN but they never showed when they were supposed to. We’ve used them before and they were great, so naturally we returned to have service done on our dryer. Called on a Saturday, they confirmed Monday appointment from 10 to 1. Monday came check with the company at 12:30, a wonderful receptionist answered and the reason I say wonderful I ask her if she was mad or if I made her mad because she had such an attitude That I was. She said they had us from one to three. I checked make sure that we were OK with 1 to 3 on our end and confirmed with the receptionist. I also sent an email in regards to the change of time because she made it sound like it was never changed from 10 to one to one to three, but I have the confirmation and let them know that a confirmation was sent to have someone here from 10 to one on Monday. 3 o’clock came and went. Called company talk to that wonderful receptionist again somewhere in the background reassuring her that someone was on their way. I did ask how long they worked until she said they were open till six, but it would be way before that. 4 o’clock I got a text from Dave saying he’s on his way. Should be there by 4:26 I wait and wait there’s no Dave. I got another text that says now it’s gonna be 445. Well that’s just the tipping point that I wasn’t gonna put up with. I’m a customer, a paying customer as you all are. You were thinking this day and time customer service is the one thing that I am most appreciative of. If you have excellent customer service in excellent communication, I will always return as other vendors have seen out there maybe the highest price but if you can keep me up informed of situations as with any customer that is very important. Unfortunately, or fortunately, we will need to find a different repair service. Good luck to you JBN continue success throughout the years.

Bought a fridge from them a couple months ago then it stop cooling properly. Starting doing research and found out that they put a shredder valve on it. Where the system was suppose to be seal off they put on a valve where they could add refrigerant so it would only work for a little while then stop working. To have a new condenser put in is worth more than I payed for it. 300$ paperweight now.

The technician showed up and within seconds without opening, the machine instantly said it’s a recall on part $450 And it’s on backorder. Wow, you must be washing machine ninja.” I said, then he talked about his years of experience more than any insight into what happened to this machine and on the fly, I had to make a big snap decision to take a repair more than the worth of the machine or go buy some clunker used washer. It was all so vague. His demeanor was unwelcoming and even threatening. He stated he was gonna call me when the park showed up in 6 days later I called and asked if the part was in route or what was the status and was told will call you back and they never called me back. The next day, it was two more attempts to call during the day between noon and 5 o’clock. Both times we will call you back. Then 7:30 I reached the end of my patience and said you are holding $450 of ours and I need to find out what’s going on with this machine part and I was told hold on. When she came back from making me hold I stated that I did not appreciate my calls not being returned from there. It escalated to a screaming match. I have never been verbally assaulted so much and it enraged me. I counted five times. She said the yellow slope had it jotted down 5 to 7 day wait. And we were on the seventh day regardless we were at the end of the time that was not verbally told to me, but just scratched on this yellow piece of paper by this point, I was being hammered by this woman’s yelling at the top of her lungs in the most hostile crazy exchange and then she Said I cannot have my money back and hung up.
I’m sitting here now with no answers and $450 of mine gone, and I have real intimidation to deal with both This technician who didn’t even introduce himself or is what seems like wife or Representative. I run a very small salon in caramel and without any timeframe, my business is held in flux, and I am truly warning. You do not deal with these people because they will be short vague and for all I know this may result in theft. I can’t imagine it’s going any worse but with no information in the next couple days, I want to go to the authorities and I’m considering my options when all I wanted was a little insight as to the ETA of the part that I was told was on backorder. Is this backorder gonna take months or can we get this washing machine going? Has it been ordered? Is it available? Add none of my questions answered. It’s a scary situation because this is actually gonna cost me a lot of money and I’m not sure if they’re gonna answer the phone. My washing machine was just over a year old, which I consider relatively new and I would’ve appreciated being treated like a customer instead of some hostile adversary. The first four times I asked for insight I was essentially ghosted on the phone and ignored. It’s been very stressful. Do not go there because I have never been treated so terrible my whole life.. -
Easy experience. Went in picked out what I wanted. It was delivered in a few hours. Delivery guys were amazing. Purchase was easy. Polite sales people. Definitely will be back for more appliances when we have everything ready. 5 star service thank you.

Do not use this company!
My oven stopped working the day before Thanksgiving, so I scheduled an emergency service call. The technician was here for about 10 minutes and told me I needed a new control panel and should just replace the entire oven because parts could not be sourced. He even suggested two used ovens they could install that day.
The oven is only a year and a half old, the next day I called the manufacturer myself and was able to order the parts immediately. When I called back and asked the owner why I was not told to try the manufacturer, she told me they only check with their two suppliers. The owner was dismissive and rude when I questioned why I was advised to buy a new oven without exploring other options and sang praises about trying to save my Thanksgiving.
The parts came a week and a half later, I hired a different appliance technician to install them, and he discovered the issue was not the control panel at all. In fact, in his 40 years of business he’s never had to replace an oven control panel. It was just the igniter, a simple and common repair he fixed on the spot. The original tech had the part with him and could have repaired it, but instead gave me an incorrect diagnosis and told me to replace the oven entirely.
I called the owner back and requested a refund of the $90 service fee, given the incorrect diagnosis, and the unnecessary stress and expense it caused, but the owner refused. Not to mention I also ordered an $150 nonrefundable control panel, that was not needed. All of this, and the tech was wrong and very easily and quickly could have repaired the part in time for Thanksgiving.
Inaccurate assessment, poor communication, and unprofessional customer service. I cannot recommend this company. -
Indy Appliance Xperts are the absolute best for all of your appliance needs! They are fairly priced and have a huge selection of pristine high end appliances that are gently used. Not to mention, the people that run this place are cool as a fan!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! They came out to fix my dryer that is only 11/2 years old. back in Dec before Christmas. Scheduled several trips back, didn’t show up for a couple , and could never get the right part or whatever. I had paid up front so asked so asked for money back- told no. Fought several times with the scheduling department who were very rude and dismissive. Finally had same repairman come on Feb 4. He was very rude and was at my home approx 30 min. Said dryer was fixed. Well it’s not. Still has a bearing squealing. Calling someone who knows what they are doing and can fix my dryer. Lesson learned.
