I was charged $450 to replace 1 smoke detector. I refused the service, was billed $100 for the tech to come to my home, which I was aware of before hand and paid. Asking around afterwards I found out that our Lexington Fire Department provides free smoke detectors and installs them!looking on Amazon, smoke detectors cost from $16 on up. Outrageous. I will never use GreenBox for any service in the future.

I found a customer of COLEMAN Smith, which is now GREEN BOX since 1973 and have never had anything but excellent service from them. I highly recommend them if you want prompt courteous efficient service.

I recently had my HVAC system replaced by GreenBox. Scott did a thorough job evaluating my house to determine & propose 3 solutions that satisfied my needs. Scott walked me thru options patiently answering my questions as he helped me make my final selection fitting my budget. Then the installation team (Tyler, Travis & Chad) scheduled a time that worked best for our schedule, and did a fantasic job replacing our HVAC system. They were very polite, keeping us informed of what they were doing, and kept the "work site" clean at the end of the day. After installation they showed us how to use the system, walking us thru the various thermostat features, and answering all of our questions. I would recommend HomeBox to other customers.

Riley replaced old faucet with a new one. Worked quickly and efficiently. Tested faucet to make sure it worked and there were no leaks. Reminded us of 6-month warranty before he left and said to please call if there were any issues.

Alec arrived right on time, was very cordial, removed an old faucet and installed a new kitchen faucet in about an hour. He wore foot protection and cleaned up his work area thoroughly. He did a great job!

Update: I emailed the address provided per greenbox's request and they graciously agreed to waive the $100 charge to come out and figure out how much to charge me to take a second whack at the issue.

You are paying these guys for an individual service, not to resolve the problem.

I had an issue with pipes freezing in the winter that I tried to resolve with Greenbox. A technician came out, suggested a solution, and we agreed on a rate.

About a month later, the pipes froze again, so I called back to follow up and see what could be done to resolve the ongoing issue. I was told I would have to pay $100 just for them to come out and review the problem.

I’m blown away that they want to charge me simply to take a second look at an issue they previously attempted to fix—not even to resolve it, just to look at it again.

I’d recommend starting with another company that is more likely to stand behind their work and follow through on resolving issues in your home.
