Horrible service. Gave us a hassle. They don’t seem to know how to run a business with ethics. DO NOT USE DON. Saying things this way to prevent others from being scammed. Smh

I had some very old water pipes replaced with PEX. I am impressed with the quality of work and clear communication!

Don Somerdyke and his team are highly skilled plumbers. They have been servicing my home for 13 years.
There are a few plumbers out there with the same last name but they are not the same business.

At approximately 3:45PM October 4th, 2018 a white Chevrolet pickup with "Somerdyke Plumbing" signage was driving like a nutjob heading east on 28th St, changing lanes multiple times without using turn signals and abruptly at that. I know nothing about this business itself so cannot speak to the quality of service, but I believe you can tell a lot about a person from their driving habits and unfortunately this person led me to believe they are bonkers.

Great plumbing service very knowledgeable! really on point with permits and following through with commercial aspects of plumbing. Out of all the contractors for our building they were always done before everybody else signed off by the city inspector ready to go. We always call Somerdyke plumbing for our plumbing needs

Yes, Thomas, You are correct, I can clearly on honestly back up some truth to your review posted here, and how it's pretty much spot on in regard to how they, in fact, do work. My neighbor in the condo association can also attest to that, as her dishwasher started flooding after this business had come and gone and attempted to fix something fairly simple...

2 inspections and 6 MONTHS later - STILL NOT complete. Don had quoted me for a new hot water heater I paid extra for the forced air and had to have an electrical outlet ran to plug it into. The guys came out and just asked me for an extension cord (not up to code). They told me Don was having someone else run the electrical outlet. NOW Don says the quote doesn't cover the electrical outlet, even though we discussed it twice. The City Inspector even told me, Don told him he was going to "screw you" on that and make me pay for an electrician to come install it. The PVC pipe has no primer on it according to the inspector, the PVC pipe for the the emergency release does not go as far to the floor as required, and they took down the brackets that held up the gas pipe and did not replace it. A 3rd inspector came out due to the length of time on this open permit in their system. He said he will notate their account showing the repairs are still not done. EVERYONE BEWARE! I had paid $2000 cash and now still have to redo all of that myself. I am going to be out another $500. The fact that he actually told the inspector that he was going to "screw me" on the electrician part, I am letting everyone know about your company. I have also reached out to Jacobson and given them a different plumbing company to use as a referral. They were so upset and apologetic for what I am going through and said they will not advise anyone to use them either.

Great quality work and pricing for 2 different projects. One of the projects was a a plumbing emergency when our sump pump died in basement during a 2 day rain storm. They were quick to respond, replaced the pump, put in a backup and alarm system if it were to die again. All the workers were friendly. Have added them to my contact book for any future plumbing needs.

Company came over and replaced our sump pump when it stopped working during a storm. Called and left message explaining the situation and got a call back from Don who found someone who could come out immediately and replace our sump pump. Dan came over within 20 minutes of talking to Don, looked at the sump pump and had a new one dropped off. Dan was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. All was completed within an hour of the original call and saved us a flood in our basement. Thank you so much for your responsiveness and professionalism!

The person who answered the phone was the owner I think. He was rude. I was appalled by his behavior as I explained the situation to him. Our basement had flooded. My 87 year old dad, whose house it was told me he had been doing business with this company for a long time and they were great. This person was not only rude but showed no empathy with me even though he still had my dad's address and phone number in his files.
He said he would send someone out tomorrow. Well today is tomorrow, 4:30 pm and haven't heard one word from the company. Good thing I had the sense to call a different company.

Had our Floor Drain backup and flood a little of our laundry room. They were actually early and just all around great guys! They kept us in the loop with what was going on as well as gave great advice for the future! This is our first house so we are not well versed in things like this so the fact they were just so kind and nice meant a lot. They left us feeling extremely confident in their work allowing us some well needed peace of mind!

Sam was amazing! We’ve never experienced that level of professionalism or personal care with plumbing services before. He has a genuine and honest passion for customer service, too, that sets him apart from other contractors. And the level of detail he provided in what services we were getting left us feeling solid about our investment. We will ask for Sam anytime we need plumbing services in the future!

Showed up to the job right away, explained the price and the job and had everything finished in one hour. Second time we used them and will use them again. Explained everything in detail and was very thorough. I highly recommend them.

Couldn't have been easier. Setup an appointment online, and they confirmed shortly after. Day of appointment, I received a call saying they would be to me within 30 minutes, and within 30 minutes of them arriving, they had diagnosed the issue, fixed the issue, and explained what the cause was and how it was resolved. We had a leak in an old main water shutoff valve. We were able to get exceptional, professional service the same day—a Saturday no less. Excellent work and outstanding quality! Not to mention exceptional professionalism across the board.

Jason was here within a few hours of our online service request. He knew exactly what the problem was when I described the issue. He also recommended a new sump pump as it was old. Am I glad he did! The old pump was not working at all when he went to repair it. Great advice, timely service and very knowledgeable.

Our bathroom sink drain was completely clogged. Technician came out really quickly and solved our clogged drain problem! The whole process was very fast. She also took the time to explain the cause and long-term ways to prevent it.

Super responsive — they came out to clear our clogged pipes the very next day after we contacted them. The service was timely, the technician was professional and helpful, and it was even a bit less expensive than we originally anticipated. Would definitely recommend
