Our sump pump stopped working, and these folks got to our place within hours to help! They sent a consultant ahead of time to give us advice about water damage, and she was super helpful in giving us affordable steps that we could use to fix the problems ourselves (although we lucked out and had minimal damage- if we had more, I would’ve felt confident using their service to get the job done!). The plumber was quick, efficient, and polite, and explained the problem and potential fixes in a way that was easy to understand. We would highly recommend them for anyone looking for services!!

The repair guy was completely friendly, professional, and helpful. The issue was with calling the company and having no help other than setting up a schedule time. Would not give any pricing or information other than a 129 dollar service charge. Ended up charging 675 to install a 130 dollar disposal. Flat rate. Only reason I used them was because the first few plumbing companies I called said they were booked out over 7 days away.

Garrett was our technician and he was quick and professional. We called on Thanksgiving for a non-emergent leak and they were out first thing the next morning. He was kind and the repair was very quick. Happy with our service!

WOW! We have used Roto-Rooter twice in about an 8 month period. First when our basement flooded with sewage and we needed a new service line installed from our house to the city line because ours was broken from tree roots and age. Then again this past week when our basement flooded with water from a big thaw. Our drain pipes were broken from age and we had them dig up our basement floor and install new pipes and a sump pump to bring our older house up to code.

Both times we used them we were VERY happy with their service. Their pricing is really good and competitive. Their customer service is beyond excellent! Every person in every capacity that we spoke with or interacted with was friendly, professional, helpful, and empathetic. Their response times are excellent and we felt very appreciated and valued at every step. The techs went above and beyond with every thing they did! Both jobs were major and they did fantastic work in a very timely manner. We can't recommend them highly enough! We tell everyone we talk to to use Roto-Rooter!

When I was selling my home I was told that an inspector wanted to have the drains cleared of a few roots. I was told about Roto-Rooter and that the cost should be somewhere around $350-400. When I called Roto-Rooter, they said they would charge $129 to come and look, which seemed quite high. Usually a service call from a company to look at something costs about half that. I asked if they had anything resembling a ballpark figure for the cost, and they said they could not give one. I made an appointment because I was in a rush so I had little choice. I was told they would be there between 12 and 2, but they did not show up. When I called they said they had not marked it down, but would come within the next two hours. so before 4. The man who came at 4 looked very briefly at the pipe and said that he would have to charge $695 for the service, which seemed incredible, but I needed to get things done. When I mentioned this to my realtor, she was shocked at the price and told me not to let them go through with it. As I called to cancel, the individual said that as he had already taken his equipment out of his truck, he would have to charge $350 for his time, despite only having been there for a few minutes. I was furious but kept my calm and firmly told him to leave and that I would absolutely not pay that. He offered to do the job for $400, but if I didn't take that offer, he would just leave and charge me $350. Because I simply didn't want to deal with it any more, I accepted that. He was gone in 15 minutes, so I don't know what he did for that high price, but at least I got proof that the pipes were clean. He said they hadn't required much work anyway, but I was just glad to have him off my property.

Long story short, these people will charge absolutely whatever they think they can get away with. It's not that they won't do the work. It's that they are extremely shady about pricing and are 100% willing to take advantage of anyone foolish enough to have a trusting heart. I am exceedingly lucky that my realtor strongly suggested that I stand up for myself. Without support, I'd have fared much worse from Roto-Rooter.

We had a clog that was seemingly impossible to unclog. David persisted until finally it was unclogged. Saved us some pipe work and further expense. Work is guaranteed for sixty days. Very happy!

Our main sewer line was backing up. Asked for price on the phone to clean it out. Told me that they can't do that. For $69 they would come and inspect my line. When they arrived they told me it would be $500 to inspect the line and clean it out, before even putting a camera in the line. We agreed to the $500, if we didn't we would still be charged for the service call.
After putting their camera in the pipe he told us that he could not clean it because the pipe was too far gone. Tree damage, broken pipe. He said that he would only charge me $450 because he couldn't clean it. Quoted $18,000 to repair it.
I called a competitor for a 2nd opinion. No charge to come and put their camera in. After they put the camera in, their competitor said they don't see any problem because of build up in the pipe.
They would have to come back and clean it out before they could tell me anything. This morning McDonald came out and cleaned my pipe and told me there is nothing wrong with it. Should last another 15 years min.
Would not recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone and would tell them to stay away if they ask.

David from Roto-Rooter was friendly. Should up on time and was really informative on the work that he had to do. He plus gave me some advice to help me in the future. I am very pleased with the service that David gave me.

Dylan was awesome! he and his partner came out and helped us with our sewer cap and drainage issue in the basement. Prior to that Jake and Dominic came out and they both were extremely helpful, and got their manager Dylan out the next day. Appreciate the staff and look forward to working with them in the future!

Never again. Booked an appointment the night before (through a coupon on their site) for an evening window slot, got a call at 8:30am the following morning and “Rock” confirmed my appointment window for 3-5pm. No one called or showed up. I call at 5pm to make sure we are still good, and they take my information and forward it to a tech… not sure what happened here. The tech calls me about 15 minutes later, quotes me $425 to snake my kitchen drain. He tells me that he’s about 25 minutes away. I had them do the work, but I’m regretting it. The interactions I had with their customer service department and even the tech over the phone were very poor. Once the tech was in my home, he was nice, but they all need to work on their customer service skills. First time needing a plumber - going to look else where next time, I suggest you do the same.

David from Roto Rooter was extremely knowledgeable and was quick to give an accurate assessment of the plumbing problems we were having which were vent issues. He gave us quote on site and was extremely professional the whole way through! We need more guys like David!!!

David came and looked at the problem and told us the price before he started. He had our downstairs toilet unplugged and working great within a short period of time. Very happy with their service.

From start to finish, the company was timely and fixed our problem quickly and in a professional manner. Danielle, our plumber, Trey, our sales associate, and Dominic, our restoration guy, were phenomenal. This has been a rough day, but they made it go as smoothly as possible.

Well that was easy! We had a scary shower drain problem, with water seeping out of the floor on two sides of the shower. Our handyman said we'd probably need to rip the shower out, fix whatever is going on down below, and put it all back together. Roto Rooter came and discovered a much simpler (and less expensive fix). When they took the shower drain cap off, they noticed a small gap around the drain where the threads and calk and worn down. They resealed all of that and were all done in 15 minutes. Problem solved!

Call them in an emergency dryer flooding. After being there they pulled in a rep from "rotorooter restoration" that called so often telling us that that they needed to get things done BEFORE the insurance adjuster came through. When insurance finally showed up they didn't recommend them and went with someone else. When I called Owen from rotorooter back to tell them they tried to strong arm us into calling and cancelling with the other company. It was more stressful getting pushed around talking with rotorooter than the actual basement flooding. We would not recommend them to anyone For anything.

Had a blocked drain toilet backing up. They got there 1 hour after I called. They did a great job. Very friendly service. The price was very fair for how bad the job was. I would get them again if I had a issue in the future.
