I regret using Mountaineer due to the cost. Their employees were very nice, professional, did great work, and arrived quickly but the price was outrageous and I fault myself for taking the quick and easy route and having them do the job. After the cost of parts, I’m estimating (not clear since they charge per job type and not itemized) I paid $2,000 for 2 guys times 3.5 hours (7 hours). That’s nearly $300/hour, triple the normal plumber rate. I believe I overpaid by at least $1,000. My fault for not getting another quote, but in the end I’d not use them again.

Thank god for people like Levi and Chris. Very good at what they do. Mountaineer was here within 2 hours of calling and had the problem fixed within 2 hours of being here. Outstanding considering the other plumbing company I had here 3 different times in 2 weeks for the same issue. Some people should not be in business to take advantage of people. Thank you Mountaineer Plumbing. You deserve 10 stars!!!

Had to replace our disposal. (No fun!). But service tech Chris was fabulous. On time. Tried to fix without replacing but unfortunately couldn’t. Very knowledgeable. Put the customer first. Definitely would recommend this company.

Mike came out to give me a quote for several repairs, including new gas lines and updates to our water heater. The next day he came back, prepared to get everything done. He was professional, communicated changes/updates to the plan clearly, was extremely courteous, and genuinely cared about the needs we had and the work he did.

Mike and Chris from Mountaineering Plumbing totally saved the day when our basement flooded. They were onsite and helping to resolve our issue within an hour of placing an emergency call. They were very friendly and thorough with explaining what they were doing and why. I will definitely utilize their services in the future and recommend this company highly.

The guys that showed up were on time and very helpful about the work we wanted done. I would've loved to have them do the work, but their quote for the job we wanted done was more than double the quotes that we received from other plumbers.
Great guys, but very pricey.

We had called another plumbing company we’d used before and they said it would be three weeks to send someone out. Mountaineer sent someone out the same afternoon I called. Mike did the estimate and repair job on the spot in just a couple hours. Price was under what another company had quoted for the same job a couple years ago (we opted not to have that particular repair done at the time, but it could not wait any longer).

Mike was friendly and efficient. He explained everything clearly and did not pressure us to choose a higher-priced option, which I really appreciated. All around great experience.

Levi was great! Happy, Knowledgeable and went to work and got the drain cleaned out. Pricing is high at all the plumbers I called but in my case speed was key...You cannot always judge a company by how fast they get to you, that is not a good metric. If they are busy it is because they have earned trust and credibility...sometime it pays to wait. Well done for the time and service I received. Thank you!

David was fantastic and professional. He was honest and let me know different options for fixing my pipes going to my bathroom sink. I really appreciate him giving me the choice between “good, better, best” ways to fix it, before the work was completed. He was quick and efficient and I would definitely recommend him and Mountaineer Plumbing to anyone. Also, the pricing was very reasonable!

I am extremely happy! It started with someone actually answering the phone, and being pleasant. He showed up right away, knew exactly what to do, and fixed the issue immediately. The price was fair. Wow, my new favorite plumber to recommend to my clients when they buy or sell their homes!

They made it to the house and fixed the leak within an hour of my call. Can’t speak to the price compared with other services because I didn’t get any other quotes.

Disappointed with communication, transparency and rate.

We relocated our fridge during a remodel and needed the waterline moved. I called and was told someone could service it the same day which I thought was great. They told me it would be a $96 fee to come out and quote the job but that they would take it off the cost once we committed to the work. I asked if there was any kind of cost range for this type of work and they said they wouldn't be able to provide a range until the technician came out and looked around.

The technician showed up without a text to let me know when he would be here. I took him and showed him the existing water line in our unfinished basement and asked if it would be better to move that line or take a new line off the sink (which is a dishwasher and a 36" cupboard away from the fridge. He said he would rather run from the sink because the existing copper line would require a compression fitting which would ultimately leak. I said okay, gave him the 25 ft braided stainless steel line that I had already bought and left him alone to write up the quote.

Honestly, I was expecting a $200 - $400 bill, especially since we are remodeling the kitchen and everything is easily moved, fridge, dishwasher, countertop, and sink, and the ceiling in the basement was wide open. I was seriously shocked when he told me that it would be a 2 - 3 hour job and gave me a quote of $849! Since they would be using the waterline I bought, this would be for labor only. Needless to say, I gave him the $96 and thanked him for his time.

Based on the many Yelp reviews indicating extremely high estimates, it makes you wonder if their goal is to drive around collecting $96 service calls and not do any actual plumbing.

Are service was well appreciated. Our technician Chris Kuhn was very responsive and understanding to our questions and concerns. He did his job efficiently and was respectful of our home. Would 10/10 recommend going with mountaineer for all your plumbing needs. We will be returning for any future repairs

Our toilet was leaking and needed the seal replaced. Mountaineer was able to come on December 23. David was professional and knowledgeable. He gave us options for the repair with a range of costs. He was fast, cleaned up after himself and made suggestions for drying up the floor under the tiles. I like that the company sent his picture so we could know what the person they sent would look like. I've not used this company before but will call them again. Great service.

Wow I had not heard of Mountaineer Plumbing before. I am so glad we tried them. Kane was so professional. He listened to our issue and had our toilet flushing in about 10 minutes. A different company quoted us $450 to run a camera to see what our problem was and then told it would be an additional $550 when they found the issue. Well a camera wouldn't have found the problem and for $100 we have a flushing toilet. Please don't hesitate to call this company from the lady on the phone doing the scheduling to the service highly recommend. Lanette

We needed our toilet fixed and the office got someone to come in on the day we called. Chris was very punctual and installed a new toilet for us. He also took a look at our place and gave us some quotes of other work that we would like to have done. Great service!

Had a really good experience with them the first time. Got a different tech this time who tried to sell me a new toilet without even opening the lid of the toilet. Cost to replace the fill valve? 480. Cost for a new toilet 600. Suggested just getting the new toilet with the 30 day warranty. Or just pay the 100 trip fee. Also they wouldn’t quote over the phone even though he didn’t even diagnose upon arrival. Slimy salesman vibes with no care for service. I had to ask him to actually look! “I don’t make the prices” no but you can pretend to bring some knowledge to the table.

Requested service and was responded to immediately with the date and time I was looking for. Everything was scheduled and set within 30 minutes.
Tim came out and was very professional and even suggested helpful hints for other small issues he noticed outside of the service he provided.
He installed a new sink and was able to complete the service in the least invasive way possible, which was amazing as I was prepared for a big job. He was in and out within a few hours.
I will definitely recommend this company to friends and family in the future! The pricing was a great deal compared to what I was quoted from a couple other companies as well!

We had an issue over the weekend with a toilet seal which turned into needing some pipes replaced as well. We called on a Friday an evening and we were able to get Chris out to our home on Saturday morning. Chris was quick and communication was great so we knew when he would arrive. He did a very helpful job of explaining the issues he saw and what our options were to fix them. Once we picked the course of action Chris was quick and efficient to get the repairs done, and still continued to explain the process along the way. We are very thankful for the fast response and the professional service!

They were very responsive! I submitted a quote request and was contacted the next morning. They were able to come, at a time that fit my schedule, give me an estimate, and complete the job same day! The Mike B was very kind, patient, and answered all my questions in a way I understood. I would definitely have him back again!
