Furnace quit working. We checked with a realtor friend for recommendations. He recommended Duke City. We called them and also obtained 3 other quotes. we chose Duke City based on the recommendation, their estimate, and their responsiveness to our request for an estimate and follow up questions. And, are we ever glad we chose Duke City! They were able to move up the installation date, and arrived right on time. Estevan and Shawn were the tradesmen who did our installation. Efficient, skilled, professional, friendly, polite, kind, and exceptional communicators. They were so considerate and they left our house so clean -- you'd never know we just had a big, messy job completed. They made sure everything was up to code, showed us everything we needed to know, tested the equipment and carbon monoxide levels to be extra sure everything was done well and safely. Just could not be happier! Will use them and recommend them without reservation. Estevan and Shawn, THANK YOU!

Don't waste your money. I had this company out in May to fix my swamp cooler; I told them I was smelling mold last year, and they recommended a flush pump and told me I did not need new pads or any other work. They installed a new pump as well without checking with me for approval on the price. My handyman was on the roof cleaning out the gutters and said they left part of the swamp cooler draft vent exposed to the outside and didn't replace some old tape so most of my cooling wasn't going into the house. They were extremely rude when they came out to fix it again and accused my guy of tearing off the tape himself. It cost me $444 for this work. Come August, my swamp cooler, an Aerocool, my house won't go below 78 degrees, and I still sense a musty smell., found another company that showed me the pads were completely encrusted with calcium, and he discovered that there was a leak in the drain pan, water was pooling below it, and it was full of black mold. So now I have to replace the entire unit, including the new pump they installed and the flush pump that is not needed. They are dishonest and do inferior-quality work. Find someone else to work on your swamp cooler and save yourself the headache and money.

Duke City just replaced our three Master Cool swamp coolers with two new AC units in only two days. Not only did they do a great job but they by far came in with the lowest estimate.

Duke City was referred to me by a friend. I had contacted several companies for estimates for an AC Conversion and Duke City was the best by far. Everyone I dealt with at the company was extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. My installation team was knowledgeable and so respectful. I will definitely recommend Duke City to anyone in need of heating or cooling needs.

I cannot speak more highly of Duke City Heating and Cooling. I have used their services for my furnace, swamp cooler and electrical system. On every occasion, they've provided exceptional service at great prices. They work efficiently and are quick to isolate problems, and so far I have zero complaints about their work. They have also always been honest -- for example, when I asked about the cost of a new swamp cooler, I received a shake of the head saying you don't need a new one! That's when you know you're working with someone you can trust.

UPDATE 10 YEARS LATER: I rarely write reviews, but wrote my first review for Duke City 10 years ago when I was so impressed with their service. I'm back again because they really came through when a neighbors tree limb fell on our electrical line and it damaged our electrical box. We told them the situation and even though they were scheduled far out, they were able to move things around and sent someone out. They also have consistently provided quality service across the years: accurate estimates, timely services and excellent troubleshooting (minimizing the need for another service call). Duke City is a true local, family owned and honest business that provides great service.

I had trouble getting my new clothes dryer installed because the electrical plug was the wrong type. I called this company on my son's recommendation. They were able to get my issue fixed that day and they installed my dryer for me. Tommy and Tyrell were knowledgeable and efficient and very kind. This is now my goto place for help!! Definitely recommend.

Woke up to my house being 60 degrees after a cold snap/winter storm. I called Duke City Heating & Cooling and within an hour their service techs were ringing my doorbell. Tommy and Tyrell were AMAZING! They remedied the problem and had my heater back up and running within 30 minutes. These guys were very professional and knowledgeable! I highly recommend Duke City Heating & Cooling for all of your HVAC maintenance and problems! I was dreading a high bill due to the call out but was pleasantly surprised with more than reasonable prices! Thank you all again for everything!!!

I loved that they were able to schedule the work within a week. They all showed up ready to work at 9:00 and did a great job, cleaned up everything and the system they installed is wonderful. Couldn’t be happier.

Awesome work done by knowledgeable, friendly staff! I had a great experience from first call to completed work. The guys who came to do the work were so nice and worked hard the entire day (in a cold garage while it was snowing), making me feel like I was getting the most for my money.

The work is neat and well done, exactly to my specifications... and they actually cleaned up after themselves!

I highly recommend these folks and I will be coming back when it’s time to wire up my shed and make the switch to a HVAC package unit!

Duke City is a class act from top to bottom. I've had the person who answers the phone give me advice on how to fix something myself, avoiding a service call. Appointments are scheduled easily and they show up on time. They even text to let me know they're on the way. They do excellent work. No fuss, no mess. Quality repairs, quality service, quality people. On the most recent call, they replaced my furnace at a very reasonable price and the work was exemplary. I cannot recommend Duke City highly enough. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

Overall great experience and service from all the technicians that installed our complete HVAC system. Very professional and courteous. Got the job done right on time. Cleaned up well afterwards. Loved that there were no surprises and no additional services or material needed. Did what only needed to be done. Very honest company and very nice front office personnel. Would highly recommend. Honest prices.

I have only good things to say about Duke City HVAC, which installed a heat pump water heater in my garage. The owner, Mike Franco, offered many helpful suggestions that resulted in a better placement of the heater. He answered all my questions as well as some I hadn't thought to ask. The crew arrived on time, was efficient and polite, and left a clean workspace. The office staff has also been responsive to my needs. Considering all the electrical and plumbing work that had to be done, plus the preparation of the garage space, the price was reasonable. I'm very pleased with the heater and so grateful for the work done by Duke City HVAC. I'd hire them again, and I recommend them highly.

We are very dissatisfied with the billing of the repair that Duke City heating and cooling did on the mini split in our home. I paid the amount in full for them to diagnose and repair our unit. Unfortunately, on the day they came out, tech support for our unit was out for that day so they had to come out two days later. The day they came out the repair was completed and I was never made aware of any additional charges. Two months went by, and we received a bill in the mail for an additional $255 dollars for refrigerant. We feel this should’ve been communicated the same day or at most a day or two later informing us this going to be billed in addition to the repair that was completed. I truly don’t understand how you as a business owner can justify billing a customer two months later. I feel it’s very unwarranted not good customer service. For this I am giving a 1 star review.

To sum things up, my experience with Moore could not have been better. Easy to make an appointment that fit my schedule, on time and as scheduled arrival with a courtesy "on the way" call before. Polite, professional and knowledgeable tech (thank you Joe). Fair price. With last company we used, I felt "worked" and like their goal was to find ways to charge more. How refreshing to find the honest, quality service I was looking for from a company that makes it obvious in their performance that they want to deliver that as well.

Lawrence was great with changeover to our Mastercool (punctual, polite and knowledgeable). He noted that we will be needing new media next year and gave information to buy a new one for next year. Thank you very much Moore Quality Air

After having looked into several companies for quotes and information for an AC conversion we were impressed with Anthony’s knowledge and professionalism when we first met him. He is an honest and straightforward person. When the day came for the install Anthony and his crew were on time and very professional. We got a same day consultation with Anthony who directed us to the perfect unit for our home. Amazingly, we were able to schedule the install for the next day. Their work was meticulous from planning, to install, to the touch-up and clean-up. We have worked with them before for water heater install and would never go anywhere else.
