Pen Pals came out when our furnace gave out. We had another company quote the work and they said we needed a new control board or a new furnace. We then called Pen Pals and they were able to fix the furnace at a very reasonable price and with a smile. Can’t say enough good things about Pen Pals.

Pen pal replaced a water heater. They were very attentive to details in the installation. They even picked up the water heater which made the replacement go off more efficiently.

Kenneth came out to shut down the swamp cooler and test/start up the furnace. He was right on time and very efficient. Once again Pen Pals Cooling Heating Plumbing (formally I-DEAL HVAC) did a great job. All of their employees are highly skilled and very dependable. I was out of town and the fiber optic company was digging in my yard. They discovered a water leak. Pen Pals stepped up and sent someone over the same day to inspect the problem. Outstanding! Kenneth was a real gentleman! Tankless water heater maintenance. It's under my maintenance plan so I am unsure of cost. For roughly $400/year they flush system and maintain my HVAC. Well worth every penny!

Above and beyond exceptional service had to have our system checked out after it had been red tagged and shut down for another company claiming high levels of carbon monoxide and other unsafe issues supposedly.
This company turned off the heat and left my 90 year old mother without heat trying to force her or scare her into buying a new heater on the spot stay away from signature heating and cooling. Couple of hours later unit was inspected found no traces of carbon monoxide was safe to operate yes we realized the unit is old it needs to be replaced however it's unethical and unlawful to abuse senior citizens or anyone else for that matter and demanding that signature reimburse over $200 for services and diagnostics that were never even ordered and are not accurate

They were really great! I had both plumbing and HVAC work done, and the team exceeded every expectation. They showed up on time, worked efficiently, and explained everything clearly so I knew exactly what was happening. My plumbing issues were fixed perfectly, and my HVAC system now runs better than it ever has. Pen pals are professional, and genuinely customer-focused.

I called penpals because Habitat for Humanity went out and helped an elderly gentleman with his water heater and put in a new air conditioning unit at that time. They disconnected his heating unit and it had two thermostats and now that it started getting cold, we went to try and see if we could turn it on and the thermostat for the heater was not working so I called them out. They went out and told us that they didn’t have nothing to do with the heating unit that they never replaced it. They didn’t do anything, but yet they had disconnected it Saying something about the air-conditioning and now they’re called the gentleman and told him that his warranty was void because for the water heater and the air-conditioning unit because they went in and looked at the thermostat that they had disconnected and when they put it back, they broke two prongs in the thermostat. We got the same exact thermostat and had someone just put the front base no wiring was done at all. Just the front base plate of the thermostat was put back and it worked perfectly. He has a heating unit and now they’re telling him that his warranty is no void for the heater and the air conditioning Unit that they installed. They’re telling him that they’re not going to fix nothing. We’re very rude when they called him and we’re yelling at him on the phone and he contacted me very upset to contact attorneys because he’s never heard of a situation where they void out his water heater warranty and the air conditioning unit to replace the face plate of the thermostat that they broke and refused to repair and that they wanted to charge of $300 to replace the thermostat at which time his son had said no That he would just purchase the new face plate and repair it and that’s what was done and now they’re saying that they got that boy out his warranty. I’ve never heard of rude people. This is the second and third time and when he was watching them in his home, they were rude and told him that he didn’t need to be watching what they did. They’re the service person that they had there and then Paul and I had a big blowout in regards to all of this stuff and they don’t ever repair anything that they break. I would not recommend this company for anything not for Habitat for Humanity or anyone at that matter if they just want to take your money, they go out say they didn’t do it and don’t fix what they broke and when you fix it, they wipe out your warranties. I will be contacting senior affairs in regards to helping this elderly gentleman if your parents are elderly, be aware of people that do take advantage of the elderly community. It is sad. And this is one of the companies who do that poor service wouldn’t recommend to anyone be weary of them and being told you can not watch what they are doing in your home is quite worrisome broke and they never repaired

PenPals truly cares about customer satisfaction and results. We used them to identify an issue with our boiler and they did a thorough inspection. Ultimately we went a different route for our repair but hope to work with PenPals in the future for boiler maintenance.

Kenneth Thompson was our technician, and he was very polite, clean and meticulous. He performed HVAC seasonal maintenance plus found and reconnected a separated duct in the crawlspace of our home. We are very happy with the service we received!

Work was successfully performed. Kenneth Thompson gave the correct diagnosis in a previous visit and today installed the ordered part. As before, he was pleasant, good to work with, and careful to ensure the system is functioning well. You are fortunate to have him as a. technician.
My only reservation was the very high parts markup, not listed on your invoice. The repair cost 50% more than the original system installation (albeit several years ago.)
