A $27,000.00 dollar protect that was set up for installation 30 days out. Week before installation did not hear to confirm what time of arrival knowing I had to get a hotel and spend $360 for this. Tried to reach out to sales rep Kevin Bobick the Wednesday before no response. Called directly to the on company on 06/21 for them to tell me that they will not make it on 06/24 due to the power company not able to come and update the power box. So 4 weeks to get this set up and the worst customer service. Monday 06/24 called to cancel the contract for split units and stated this customer service with an investment of this price is unacceptable and I do not want to move forward. (Kevin) the rep stated that I did not reach out. Had to forward the text I sent. Over all made it look like this was my issue. Kept on defending his great over customer service. Some words of advice! 1 don't argue with the customer that is paying you for the business your providing to gain profit. 2 Customer Service is the key to making that profit. No Capital no success. Your loss, but to another company that will deliver.

Truly terrible, whether they call themselves MCS or ACE Heating-Cooling, it's the same location on Vassar with the same horrible customer service. They are good at charging you, ZERO follow up at getting the job done. Save yourself the aggravation. There should be negative Stars for this company.

I called MCS to replace a water heater that failed after about 6.5 years of service. On the original order the installer wrote that it had a 7 year warranty, but turns out according to the SN it was only 6. MCS said they would honor the warranty the installer wrote, but I paid about $1700 all said and done. The exact model water heater they installed was $1100 at Home Depot. Allowing for about $200 in permitting and $300 in labor, I paid for every dime of their actual costs to install the new WH - they just didn't make a ton of profit on it. I got 2 other estimates both higher than this. I would think "honoring the warranty" would mean covering the cost of the WH, but no. The guys in the field were very professional and nice, but the office staff does not have their act together. I had to keep calling back when they said they would call me and never did. Also inspection had to be done twice, to comply with a code they missed the first time. Start to finish it was about 3 MONTHS from when my WH failed until the new one was inspected. Largely due to delays at the MCS office.

**WARNING** The work these guys do on new installs for Home Depot is backed by 1 year only on their work. Affordable Service Plumbing Heating Air Conditioning and Electric offers 5 years for example. These guys use inexperienced or dishonest technicians. They are booked out months when others can see you in weeks or days. They did not honor their warranty on my unit they installed for 14k. Research thoroughly and don't have an AC unit installed through Home Depot. Mine is two years in and leaking because they didn't braise the housing correctly. I had to pay Affordable Service to come and do it right. They also misdiagnosed the first year so they wouldn't have to honor their warranty. Don't believe all the positive reviews. They told me to leave them one which I did initially, but they do poor quality work and charge what others charge.

My experience with Dominic Chavez was great. He took time to explain everything he did and how it tied
Into the installation of the air conditioning unit. Cleaned up after his gob task. YOU Have a
    Great electrician

I’ll never do business with them again. I was given a 5 hour window for service between 8am-1pm. I explained that I had to be at work by 1:30, she said she would make a note to be one of the first calls they finally showed up at 12:50. I had to call in to work I missed a whole day of work. They don’t seem to care about customer service. This is all for a simple sink disconnect. Now I’m getting the same run around to have it reconnected. All based on a recommendation by Home Depot. Maybe they also need to consider some of the customer’s experiences and work with a new company. Never again

MCS/ACE quoted me $1500 to repair my house breaker and didnt fix it after 20 days, and kept telling me I had to wait another 11 days to get it repaired. If I went with these people, I would have been without power for THIRTY FULL DAYS.

TLC fixed it for $615.65 (after tax). IN TWO HOURS. THATS 120 MINUTES FROM BROKEN TO FIXED. MCS couldnt even show up to their own appointments on time.

    DO NOT HIRE!!

These brain cases first visited my home in 7/20 for a broken house breaker. That tech was two hours late to the appointment and didnt leave any notes, so they had to send a second tech on 7/21, who said our breaker needed to be repaired but it was ""rare"" and they had to order one. The office told us they'd call us once the part came in.

    Spoiler: they didnt call.

Instead, I got stringed along, FOR TWENTY FULL DAYS. They even tried to sell me on some fantasy that a ""PNM Inspector"" needed to come out to my house to shut off the power for them.

Oh and let's not forget the time during this whole interaction when the MCS office erroneously told PNM that we were doing a panel upgrade and then the office quoting us $10,000 more than our initial quote. Oh, but just kidding the panel upgrade isn’t required, that was just someone in the office screwing up talking to PNM. So that was nice.

Anyways, from June 20th to August 8th, I was MISERABLE in my home with no power. The office kept stringing me along, telling me story after story about how they couldn't fix it yet.

I called TLC at 1:30pm on August 8th. A tech arrived at 3:30pm. By 5:30pm, I had paid and EVERYTHING was fixed.

TLC accomplished in JUST TWO HOURS what MCS/ACE COULDN'T SOLVE IN TWENTY FULL CALENDAR DAYS!!

And on top of that, they tried to rip me off and charge me 220% of what TLC costs.

    DO NOT HIRE!

Extremely disappointed. I've had my A\C maintained by MS for a long time and quality of customer service has gone down the toilet. Tech didn't show up to my appointment and they didn't even call back until the next day ....When the tech showed up, he just "checked" the unit and said everything was fine then my unit was not cooling 3 days after. I hate how businesses like this are very punctual when charging the customer but when it comes to fulfilling their part of the bargain, there's always excuses.......Don't take your business here. GO SOMEWHERE BETTER

I had a wall furnace installed in 2017. The initial crew caused so much damage to the roof that now every time it rains, it literally leaks into the heater and the constructed base that is holding up the heater. Literal saturation in the heater and the base.
After my calls were continually ignored, I had file a complaint with the BBB in order to get them to come back out. The supervisor continued to dismiss the issue of the damage to the roof, had a service come out to seal around the piping; however, according to a roofer, the guy still did not seal it properly as in moving the asphalt back to tar around the pipe. Rather, it was lousy and rushed so now it continues to leak. Not mention how rude the guy was in talking to me like I was just a nagging customer.
I’m inclined to hire a lawyer to file a claim against their insurance for their neglect. The heater should be of service for 15 years and I will have to replace it AND repair the damage they have caused in less then that time.

Highly recommend these folks…. they stand by their work - they are knowledgeable - easy to get someone out in an emergency …. I won’t use anyone else for my HVAC needs!

Plugging into one of our outlets caused an AFCI circuit breaker for the area to trip. The call to Just Call Ace was responded to quickly. Within an hour, Steve showed up. After re-setting the circuit breaker, Steve checked the outlet that caused the trip. He identified the suspect as an adapter that was plugged into the outlet. He tested the outlet and saw that it was good. He also looked at each of the light bulbs (that were a string set) leading to the outlet. After looking at the light arrangements, Steve recommended readjusting the lights that were hanging along the wall closer and moving them closer to the outlet and plugging them directly into the outlet rather than use the suspected adapter. Steve was professional and amiable in discussing what was going on and answering questions thoroughly. I would recommend Just Call Ace (formerly known as Mechanical Control Solutions) and ask for Steve again.

This is the worst company on the planet. I have nothing but issues with the furnace I had installed 4 years ago. I was told a part was failing but it had to fail in order to have the warranty cover it. Found out from another company that was untrue. Stay far away from mcs. I’m still paying on a broken heater. Worst decision I have ever made.

I called Ace (the new name) because we had a circuit breaker problem which took our our internet and security system. It was the early afternoon the day before the 3- day Labor Day holiday. I was hoping we could get it fixed before the weekend. Within the hour Steve was at our door. He was great! He got it all fixed, explained what had happened, and made sure everything was in good working order. He's professional, personable, and explained everything clearly. Steve is now our go-to guy for any problem we may have.

I have nothing but issues with this company. First off I had a new furnace installed and keep having issues with heating my home. They would send out a technician out every time I called to take care of the issue. Well every time they came out they said it was working fine. It would blow out cold air when it turned on and when it did warm up it was very little air flow. My room in the mornings was 66 degrees and so was my living room. Well it took for me to write a review about the company to catch someone’s attention. The person that contacted me was Nick Night said he would send out his specialist to come out and take a look. While he was here it looked at the furnace and said something about they didn’t program it to go into 2nd speed. Well he did something to it and it was blowing nice warm air but then he went on about how it would be good to install three more vents in my home to have more air flow. Well of course I had to pay for that. Why didn’t they say something about this before installing the furnace. Also he recommended an ecobee smart thermostat with a sensor to put in the living room so the thermostat could catch the temperature in there. Well I had already purchased this thermostat and he said we will reimburse you for the cost and install the ecobee. Well for awhile the air was coming out warm in my room but now it comes out cold again and takes time to warm up. My bed room and living room are still 66 degrees in the mornings. It warms up to 69 degrees around 10:00 am because it warms up outside. Well to me the ecobee didn’t make a difference in my home and neither did the installation of the vents. I think was they wanted to make more money off of me so they told me that the vents would be a good idea. I’m so tired of this company! I will never do business with them and I don’t recommend them to anyone unless you want nothing but issues. Now their customer service is horrible I have reached out to them about the furnace rebate so they could help with it. As of this time no one that I have reached out to has called me back. The people I have reached out to are Nick Night, the specialist Jason, and the office manager Laura and I have not received a single phone call. I know the rebate may not seem import them but it is to me. I live on a fixed income and I’m sure it would help me pay some of the loan I had to take out for their recommendation of the vents. Never ever again with company it sucks and doesn’t even deserve a star at all. Especially after paying almost over $9,000 dollars. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

    $138.00 dollars for an estimate!!
Then a B.S. $2100 estimate with zero follow-up to the proposal.
You'll pay excessive, full boat here.
I would suggest a reputable company that gives free estimates.
