It was over 100 degrees and our AC malfunctioned. Within a couple of hours Bill from AIR VELOCITY showed up, he was very professional, kind and courteous. Most importantly he was honest. He evaluated the issue and repaired it immediately.
It was a pleasure to deal with a true professional.

Our upstairs AC unit went out overnight in the middle of a heat wave. I called a few places and they couldn’t come out for a few days to a week. I called Air Velocity and Bill answered immediately. We lucked out and he was already in our area so he was able to come out within the hour. He discovered some of the hoses and bolts weren’t secured properly in both of our units and the capacitor had gone out in our upstairs unit. He replaced the capacitor, fixed the hoses, and dusted out both units for us. AC was back down to 70° by the end of the day and is running even better than before it went out. He was honest with us and didn’t try to push us into some crazy transaction. Highly recommend!

Shawn came out to assess a faulty system and had the problem diagnosed in no time. Unlike most home repair companies I've had in the past, Shawn never tried to upsell me. He gave me all my options, laid out the pros and cons of each option, and went above and beyond to hunt down a replacement motor that he could install that day (should I choose to go that route)

Instead, I decided to get a new system (mine was already 15 years old.) They loaned me a couple of window AC units to make sure I didn't bake while they got the parts in (this was in the peak summer heat). On top of that, they were ready to install the new system just a day later.

The install was great, they worked around my three large dogs, finished the job quickly and cleanly (no scuffs on the walls or any debris on the carpets). Given they fact that they have to lift the unit into the attic, I was extremely impressed.

If that wasn't enough, they're incredibly professional and friendly. All around top notch. Don't go anywhere else for your AC repair/replacement!

One of my AC units stopped working and Bill and Shawn were able to come out quickly to repair it. I think they had it diagnosed from 5 feet away just by the sound it was making. They confirmed it and within a matter of minutes had one part replaced and cold air blowing again. They were even able to come back the following day to perform the annual maintenance I had been neglecting.

I have been very impressed with their work over the years. They seem to know their profession very well and get to the bottom of problems very quickly. I never want my HVAC to break, but if it does I know these are the guys to call to get it running right again.

We purchased a fixer upper home that had a disastrous heat pump situation. With an incorrectly-installed air handler unit draining condensate under the house, and plenums that were not connected properly, the dank moist crawlspace air was being sucked up into the living space of the house. Enter our superheroes, Bill and Shawn from Air Velocity! Not only did they pull the proper permit and size the unit correctly, but they expertly replaced the whole system - air handler, condenser, plenums -- on one of the hottest days of the summer. The best part was that they suspended the new air handler from the joists (as opposed to sitting it up on old cinderblock pedestals), so that when we had the space encapsulated, there was no need to cut holes in the underlayment. Not only does the new air handler look good, but it's SO quiet - and coupled with the new thermostat and outdoor condenser, it's a total system that is efficient and effective in making our home climate wonderful! Air Velocity's team is professional, honest, hard-working, friendly and skilled. They know what they are talking about, don't oversell, and stand behind their work. HVAC is the kind of thing that must be done right the first time, and these guys make sure of it. Bill is amazing! Bill is honest! I was NEVER tricked or pressured to buy anything. When other companies told me I had to buy a whole new AC unit, Bill came over, explained to me what the issue was, fixed the problem, and gave me real expectations for my current unit and what to look for and what to plan for. My parents loved his honesty. My family appreciates him and his company and what he stands for. He has great communication, compassion, integrity, and excellent customer service. I will never go anywhere else. Don’t look any further if you need AC help, he’s GREAT!

New to the area so it’s always hard to find trust worthy and reliable people to work on your home maintenance. Bill was very helpful and informative and really cared about helping me keep my HVAC in good condition for many years to come! I would definitely recommend his business to anyone looking for HVAC services!

We finished a room in our home that was previously walk in attic storage. Bill and Sean installed ductwork to service the new living space and incorporated it into the existing ductwork that serviced our FROG. They replaced our 1.5 ton heat pump with a larger more efficient 2 ton heat pump so all of the 2nd floor space can be serviced by a single system, avoiding the need for a mini split. Bill was very thorough in determining the correct size heat pump. Service was prompt and professional. Existing floors were covered with drop cloths for protection and all work was neatly done and reasonably priced. The new heat pump is highly rated and came with a very good warranty on parts and labor and a rebate to boot! We would recommend Air Velocity.

We are so pleased with the work done by Bill and Shawn who replaced our existing rusty, old unit as well as replaced all the duct work ( which was original).
These guys are honest, committed to doing excellent work right the first time, dependable ..and we are convinced, the BEST! We were provided with options and information needed to make informed choices with no pressure.

This two-man team was quick and responsive. They knocked out a residential system replacement in less than two days and without cutting corners. Good contractors are increasingly difficult to find - especially those that arrive on time, communicate well, exceed expectations, and don’t leave and absolute mess behind. If these things matter to you, too, then you can stop looking for a reliable HVAC contractor. These guys are the real deal.

Shawn came for our scheduled maintenance, and because he was thorough in talking with me about the air purification system last time, we decided to have him install one today. We just moved to the area so, this is our first experience with Island Breeze HVAC and it was excellent! Their office staff kept me abreast of schedule changes relative to when to expect the technician to arrive. When Brian arrived, immediately I could tell he is a gentlemen who listens to the client's concerns and the events leading up to why he was called for service. His professionalism and skill was immediately on display as I watched him work. He was very careful to ensure that all the necessary diagnostic checks were taken before making a diagnosis and then moving to correct the problem. I am very impressed with his work and his company! While we are not interested in having any further problems with our A/C system, we will certainly call Island Breeze HVAC if we do!
