Terrible customer service. I had a fire in my heater pack which also filled my brand new house and air handler with soot and smoke. Probably was a manufacturer's defect so not their fault exactly but the brand they sell so they need to stand behind it (Trane/ American Standard). Now my heater is making the same smell it did 13 months ago right before it caught fire again. I called and asked if they could come out and look at it and see if it was under warranty still. They said they would look into it and the guy would call me back. 1.5 days later I gave them a call and they said they are not interested in doing the work. I told you I have a potential fire in my house and you cant take the time to call back and let me know so I can get someone else out here? I thought when I said POTENTIAL FIRE there was an implied sense of urgency but not with this company. That is fine if you don't want to do the work but if you can't follow through on a simple phone call then you shouldn't be in business.

We purchased a new construction home in Burlington 2 years ago where the builder used this company for the heating at air. When we we’re still under warranty, the gas log fire place wasn’t working so we called them and we’re told that we are too far and they will come to us when they are in the area and will let us know when that would be a few days before. Whatever you know, I get it. Side note, it was months before they came out and fixed it. Well now our 2 year old hvac unit went out and they again are acting like it’s such a pain for them to come this far. I don’t understand why they would install things so far away, if they don’t want to service them. Wouldn’t recommend them one bit.

So I called the emergency line because my AC unit stopped working. I only called them because they originally installed unit. I left a message. I didn't get a call back or VM or anything. So I had to wait until the next day. When I called they said they can have someone come out to my house sometime week. It's 87 degrees in my house. I'm only giving 2 stars because the lady I spoke to was nice and answered my question. Other than that no I would not recommend or use.

Stephenson Heating and Air came out and replaced our HVAC unit back in 2014 prior to the start of summer for a fair and reasonable price. This weekend in 2019, the refrigerant charge was lost in the unit due to a probable leak somewhere in the coil section, just a few months outside of the 5 year base limited warranty period. Hard to remember what was discussed regarding warranties when the unit was installed so I looked to see if the warranty had been registered and it had been for the extended 10 year on parts. The small act of registering the warranty for their client will likely save me $1500-$2000 now when some leave it to the homeowner to register. Recommend these folks if you need your HVAC serviced/replaced.

I had a heating and cooling unit placed in my home last week by Stephenson. They came out, gave me a reasonable estimate, and then promptly replaced my old unit with a new more efficient 16 SEER unit. They were professional and courteous, and removed all of the old stuff. The best part is that they installed a new thermostat that connects to Wi-FI and allows me to operate the unit from my cell phone. This will be very helpful when I am traveling and come back in town to a well heated or cooled home. Stephenson is a good company to work with!

I was having issues with the gas logs that were installed by them in a new construction home that i bought 11/19. The flame would go out after about 15 min. I could get it restarted started, but would do the same thing a few days later. I was put in contact with Wayne, the gas logs guy. He trouble shooted with me a few things, including clean/dust/vac, check regulator, restack logs properly, etc. I still had issues. I got in contact again with Wayne, and he called me back and said they would replace base. It was probably a manufacture defect. The tech came out when scheduled, and replaced it in about 15 min. The tech gave me good tips to keep it running well over the next several years!! Very pleased with the response and service I got with Stephenson's!!

Douglas and Tyler came out to my house in Holly Ridge and did outstanding work. They showed up early, very personable and got right to work. They were very thorough in explaining what the problem was, fixed it and explained how the solution would help the air circulate through my house. Very professional and attention to detail oriented. I would 100% recommend them to any friends and family members.

Honest, fair pricing, good quality work, on replacing my entire system. Professional job from the front office, thru installation. I've always believed you get what you pay for. If you are looking for cheap shoddy work that will not last, you may want to go with one of the big box companies that don't care about quality, and instead focus on quantity. If you want good quality work, from a company that will take their time to ensure you have a system done right, that gives you the best outcome for your home, call Stephenson Heating and Air. Douglas came out same day and gave an estimate on unit replacement. Super friendly and knowledgeable guy and not pressuring a sale. Scheduled an install a few days later and Douglas himself showed up at 7am to install the units after an installation crew member couldn’t make it! (Now that’s service!) We have now users Stephenson several times. It started with a routine maintenance a couple of summers ago. We asked about zoning our system to make it run better and get a few more years out of it. And boy, did Stephenson's go above and beyond.

They gave our initial quote and honored it. They have a problem with the zoning during the first heating system, but they came and fixed it without any additional charges.

I have definitely found a good, honest, dependable company to do business. They have a loyal customer now!

Stephenson heating and air gets 5 stars from me. I had an issue with my dryer vent and called Stephenson to check it out. They came out first thing in the morning, diagnosed the problem and began fixing it right away. They had it fixed before lunch. I can’t recommend them enough. Give them a call if you are having HVAC issues.

Fantastic, professional, and friendly service. After they had completed the work on my home, they cleaned up and you couldn’t even tell anything was done. They took the time to go over everything with me. So pleased with the level of service I received. Highly recommend Stephenson’s Heating and Air.

Called these folks a year ago, and instead of fixing the problem (unit was getting locked out), the guy just bypassed the cutoff switch, saying he hated Lennox units and I should buy a new one from him. Same thing happened again, and this time their guy said a line was clogged and it was fixed. Next time, the compressor bad. They replaced the compressor, but that didn't fix it, so they said it was the compactor, and that's what caused the compressor to go. Now it's doing the same thing and they are too busy to fix it in sweltering heat. NEVER AGAIN!!! GOOD RIDDANCE. SOMEONE ELSE IS COMING TODAY.

Had issues with my unit, Spoke with a lady named Paige. She was friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. Arrangements were made to have someone come to take a look at my unit. They arrived on time and were extremely professional. Within no time my unit was up and running. Now this is professionalism at it's finest. Thank you Stephenson's Heating and Air for a great experience. I will definitely be contacting the company again if any issues arise.

My house was built 2 years ago with brand new American Standard AC system from Stephenson company and three weeks ago the compressor down. Stephenson only offered free compressor replacement but charge 1300$ for the labor and diagnost. Now my heater not working and I can smell something burning. I called and the guy said that’s electrical problem suggested I should call local AC company because Stephenson corporation won’t do anything.
Only three weeks after they replace my heating compressor and they don’t have the courtesy to come checking on my unit. I don’t recommend this company to anyone.

Great services every time. Most recently the AC stopped working. Technician was on time and fixed the issue in a timely manner.

We needed to add a vent to our HVAC system. Stephenson contacted us within a few days and provided a quote via phone. We were also able to schedule services for the very next week. The service was more intensive then they originally thought, but honored their quote and performed the service efficiently and cleaned up well afterwards. I was very happy and would use them again.

I’ve been dealing with this family owned business for the past 19 years. I’ve always received great service. They just recently installed a new havac unit and thermostat at my home. It’s was way cheaper than a few other places I had checked with. The unit was inspected and passed. Thank you Stephenson heating and air for a job well done!!!

Great, prompt service installing our new heat pump. We had an issue with one end of the house being a little warmer than the other. They recommended adjusting the dampers in the air handler, and that solved our problem. I've been using Stephenson since the mid 90s.

I called Stephenson's for the first time this Monday morning. A/C unit wouldn't turn off. They were on-site within the hour. Problem fixed. Technician Randy Young was very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend!!
