My heat stopped working yesterday, and I called Comfort Monster for after-hours service. The technician checked my attic furnace for about five minutes and told me it couldn’t be repaired and that I needed a new furnace for $3,000. He wrote up the quote, charged my $160 for my after hours visit, and left.
The next day, I had B&T came out for a second opinion (without mentioning the first visit). Their technician quickly found that the drain line was frozen and clogged. He cleared it and had my heat working again in about 10 minutes. The drain line was never checked during the Comfort Monster visit. A simple fix is all it took.

Very prompt service. Knowledgeable technician explained what was going on with the system and repaired it immediately. (replaced wrong capacitor with the correct one and set the defrost to reasonable interval and a few other minor things. He spent over an hour checking the system to make sure it functioned correctly)

Max at Comfort Monster was fantastic. Professional, thorough and explained his findings well. Furthermore, I had to move a bunch of heavy bins to access our furnace. After he left, I went down expecting to move everything back but he had already done it! I don't think many would go above and beyond like he did. Such great service!

We had a great experience with Comfort Monster Heating & Air for our routine HVAC maintenance. Scheduling was easy, the technician arrived on time, and everything was handled professionally from start to finish. They were thorough, explained what they checked, and made sure the system was running efficiently before leaving. No upselling or pressure. Just honest, quality service. We’ll definitely continue using them and highly recommend them for HVAC maintenance.

Comfort Monster installed a system about 1.5 years ago, great service, reasonable prices and expedited repair. Had a couple of issues which were promptly fixed on the initial install. Recently had a leaky exhaust pipe on the air handler and Luis repaired it promptly, professionally and only charged for the visit charges. Great service from Luis and the Comfort Monster team.

10/10 Experience! Everyone from the Comfort Monster team was incredibly professional, trustworthy and friendly. They worked quickly to assess the problem, provided a quote for repairs and replacement, helped me understand the different systems available and were quick to schedule the installation. I loved the Comfy Install Tracker emails that clearly kept us in the loop on important dates. Alex was a huge help in explaining our options for new systems. Reynaldo, Shayne and Nicholas did a great job on installation day, helping to keep my home clean as they transported equipment up and down from the 3rd floor attic and were super nice to my family. I had very clear and friendly communication from Fancy about our quality review and Duke Energy rebate. Steven was also great when he came by for a final inspection of the new equipment. Everything is still working great and we have MonsterCare to make sure it stays that way. Thanks, Comfy!

Comfort Monster replaced my HVAC immediately when it broke in the heat of August. I really appreciate not having to wait! They did great work and I haven't had any problems since. I'd recommend them to anyone who wants quality work and a rapid response. The workers were really courteous and they arrived when they said they would. Five Stars!

Excellent field service and office operations. A positive experience in every way. The techs and office staff responded promptly and communicated well. The technicians were very conscientious about covering their shoes so as not to leave water and dirt in the house. Their logo'd vans were respectable and orderly.

Jan 31, 2026 (Sat) My home heat failed in the morning during a cold spell. This was the 3rd or 4th time the heating system has reacted this way to cold spells over the past 3 years. I called for emergency service that morning and was scheduled for a house call the next afternoon.

Feb 1, 2026 (Sun) Indoor temp was down to 43-degrees. Luis showed up on time, checked out components, and figured out that the problem was with the wire sending instructions to the furnace from the thermostat. Luis managed to restore heat anyway. He advised that I would need to have a new wire pulled to a new thermostat. He was equipped to email me a quote instantly from his tablet. Luis also sent me a receipt for the emergency service call instantly. The cost was quite reasonable in my opinion, considering the precarious road conditions, weekend timing, and prompt restoration of heat.
That evening, I approved the Quotation and paid the 50% deposit online.

Feb 2, 2026 (Mon) Office called to give me a repair day/time. Luis would be back again on Feb 5.

Feb 5, 2026 (Thurs) Luis + Kevin showed up at appointed time and worked well as a team to run the new wire thru the crawlspace under the house. You know management is good when employees work well together as equals. Luis/Kevin helped me set up the control app and WIFI connection to get the new thermostat operating off my phone. I paid the balance of the quotation and received the invoice/receipt before the techs even drove away.

Comfort Monster raised the bar on my expectations. If only I could find a plumbing service and electrical contractor this effective and easy to deal with

I had two recent jobs with Comfort Monster and they exceeded expectations. Their estimator, Jordy, was exceptionally thorough and explained everything along the way, giving me several options and his very reasonable advice. I ended up having both of my HVAC systems replaced due to several factors and my family and I have been very happy with the result. Each of the two install days went without a hitch due to the installers Renaldo and Nicholas being affable pros. They were right on time, very pleasant, and did the job right. What else could you ask for?

We've used Comfort Monster for a year now, and they've been great to work with every time. Prices are reasonable, and work is timely. Twice they've diagnosed and fixed issues (first the furnace, then replacing the entire HVAC unit) in a matter of days.

Just had to share, I had the best experience with a local AC repair today! The tech was so nice and actually showed up right on time (which never happens, right?). He explained everything in plain English and fixed my air conditioner super fast. Plus, he left my place cleaner than when he arrived! Seriously, if your AC is acting up, you’ve got to call these folks, they’re awesome.
