We initially had a good experience with this company about two years ago. The technician was a little odd—kept asking if he gave five-star service—but his work was solid, and we didn’t feel like it affected the service. Based on that experience, we signed up for their membership and later recommended them to my mom when she had an issue with her AC.

That’s where things took a turn. The same technician visited my mom (who is in her 70s) and diagnosed the issue, explaining what part needed to be replaced. He scheduled a follow-up appointment for the repair. However, when the next technician arrived, he redid the inspection from scratch and suddenly claimed my mom needed an entirely new AC system—without even bringing the part that was supposed to be installed. It felt like a bait-and-switch, as if they sent in their “closer” expecting an easy sale from a senior woman who lives alone. She had been prepared to pay around $1,000 for the repair, but now they were quoting her $7,000 for a full system replacement.

Thankfully, we talked before she made a decision, and she got a second opinion. Another company confirmed she only needed the original repair and completed it for even less than the initial quote. When she told them what happened, they said it sounded like a classic case of a company trying to take advantage of a senior customer. After this experience, we canceled our membership.

While my husband and I never felt taken advantage of personally, we also ask a lot of questions and do our own research before committing to a service. Unfortunately, not everyone—especially elderly customers—expects to be put in a position where they have to second-guess a professional recommendation. Just because a company doesn’t try to upsell you doesn’t mean they aren’t doing it to someone else. It’s frustrating and disappointing to realize this could happen to your own parent.

They may have great reviews, but it’s worth noting that companies can pay to have negative reviews removed. We can’t recommend them after the way they treated my mom.

Cameron and his team at Heroes heating and cooling came to our rescue when our AC went out. He came out to my house and diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts, and made the repair very timely to get our air conditioning back on as fast as possible. He does a great job of communicating, showed up on time, and most of all he is someone that we trust to tell us what we need because I know he acts in his clients best interest! Thank you! Cameron, Kevin, Jonathan and the entire NC Express Heating and Cooling team were professional, personable, and exceptionally hard-working to replace our whole house heating and cooling system. The process was smooth and they communicated and met expectations throughout the process. We are so relieved and pleased to no longer worry about our aging system. The new system is working beautifully!

Our air conditioner stopped cooling last night. We called Heating and Air Paramedics the next morning to inquire about getting an appointment. They had a technician out to the house within 2 hours. Fixed the problem. The technician was courteous and answered our questions. Would recommend!!

Heating + Air Paramedics were recommended to me by my daughter. I called them at 11:00 a.m. and a wonderful and friendly technician named Justin arrived the same day at around 3:00 p.m. He diagnosed the problem, went and got needed part (which was in stock), and fixed the issue. Very pleased with the knowledge, service and promptness.

to be expected with that kind of business as things can take longer than anticipated. I really appreciate the exellent service and thoroughness of the technician. I am very pleased with the information and documentation received about the issues we were having with our HVAC unit. So please that we signed up for the twice a year maintenance program. The technician we had., Justin, explained everything to our satisfaction. A well done job!

Heating + Air Paramedics sent three technicians to our house over the course of a home warranty repair. All three showed up on schedule and were professional and courteous. The front office communication was great.

Mo and his team have been nothing short of amazing. They’ve worked around my chaotic schedule, showed up when they said they would, and treated my home with so much care — they left everything spotless every time. They helped me in the summer with AC issues, and then came back recently for my heat, and the fact that the tech remembered me and the situation months later really stood out. It’s rare to find service like this these days. I genuinely appreciate the extra effort every step of the way and would recommend them a hundred times over.

We switched to this company as the previous company we used increased their prices and dropped one service in our contract. It was easy to set up an appointment. Austin ( the tech) was courteous, wore shoe covers and completed his tasks efficiently. Good family run company that cares about it’s customers.

Bell Cow gets 5 stars for excellent service and professionalism. After years of constant repairs to our old system, we concluded the inevitable....a new system. We got three quotes from different companies and Bell Cow proposal by far was our best option for convenient service and affordable cost. They removed and replaced our existing furnace and AC unit in one day. The inspection was completed and passed with no issues. We highly recommend Bell Cow to family, friends and co-workers for all heating and cooling services, whether it's maintenance of an existing unit or installation of a new system.
