My furnace was working perfectly before ARS/Rescue Rooter completed an annual tune-up. The unit is only six years old, located in the attic, and we did not have any power outages in our area. Just a few days after the tune-up, the furnace suddenly started blowing cold air.

I contacted ARS/Rescue Rooter because I strongly believed something may have been damaged during the service. When they returned to inspect the unit, they told me that the control board now needed to be replaced. This issue appeared immediately after their tune-up, but it is not something they are willing to acknowledge.

I will be getting a second opinion, and I plan to file a formal complaint based on the findings. I wanted to share my experience so others can be aware and make informed decisions.

Update:
One of the service managers, Jeremy F., called me regarding this issue. During the call, his primary focus was on refuting any possibility that technician negligence could have caused a short from the fuse that ultimately damaged the control board. I explained that I did not expect him to argue otherwise, given the circumstances. He reiterated that the control board must be replaced and that I am responsible for the full cost of the repair. Despite the unit still being under warranty, they are requesting that I pay $1,674 to fix the issue.

I only needed a few parts installed that I had already purchased. The tech said they could not use my parts and they wanted to charge me well over $500 just to install the same parts I had paid less than $25.00. Total rip off. I had to pay $79.99 for nothing.

I had an excellent experience with ARS Raleigh from start to finish. George came out to provide a free estimate on my two heating and cooling units, and he was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with. He took the time to clearly explain what he observed, walked me through his recommendations, and made sure I fully understood the options for resolving the issues.

I also had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Jeanette Fitzgerald regarding financing, and she truly went above and beyond. She worked diligently until she secured affordable financing for my family so we could ensure we have heat upstairs. Her dedication, patience, and genuine care made a stressful situation so much easier. She is truly a jewel and a tremendous asset to ARS.

The experience with ARS was very Professional. The Technician that was Dispatched to my Residence was very thorough with his work. He looked over many areas of where the issue may be the cause.
The Company Representative that I first spoke with Morgan was very precise on when a Tech would come to my Residence.

After having contracted with several plumbing organizations and having work completed that was unsatisfactory, we realized it was time for a change. We contacted ARS/Rescue Rooter and from our initial calls with Ashley...scheduling our appointment...she was very thorough and listened to our needs...we knew we made a good choice. When we met Dallas J., our plumber, we immediately realized we were in good hands. He carefully listened to our issues, and went about solving them. A skill and quality lost in many plumbing organizations in today's world. The highest form of marketing is that the service provider listens to you and solves and satisfies your needs. Dallas J. accomplished these goals. His values, thoroughness, and responsiveness were truly a "breath of fresh air". He cared! They came same day to fix my kitchen drain which was backing up. The issue was way deep in the piping. Joey was professional and helpful. Not sure how their pricing compares to others, but I probably would use this service again for the convenience and efficiency.

Called Home Depot for a water heater and scheduled and appointment. Brandon was able to get our water heater replace and everything was done well. Will use ARS again if we ever have other plumbing needs. Thanks!

This company misdiagnosed the problem and tried to sell a replacement hvac system and not even recommending a very expensive repair! I decided to get a second opinion and the technician from All American immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed in 3 minutes. My impression was that ARS was primarily interested in pushing new installation not taking care of customers. It seems like a trap!

My experience with Alejandro initially to discuss my options to replace the Hot Water Heater and then, with both Ali and Henry, who completed the new installation, was seamless. All three were engaging and answered my questions as well as provided insight into the benefits and drawbacks of the new tankless Heater. They also provided thoughts and input relating to general questions about the unit, future servicing, and additional steps needing to be completed post installation. Did I pay a bit too much for the installation? Perhaps, but I did not want to take the time to receive multiple estimates from several companies due to time constraints. That said, overall a very good experience without regret.

I had a great experience with plumber ALI from ARS who installed my new water heater in the garage. He arrived on time, worked efficiently, and walked me through everything with patience and clarity. The installation was clean, professional, and done with real attention to detail. It’s rare to see someone take such pride in their work. I’m very pleased with the results and would gladly recommend ARS and their team (especially Ali) to anyone needing plumbing services.

Brian was prompt, friendly & positive. He went straight to work, had good manners, And seemed very knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to have Brian as my service rep and I think he did a great job with good customer service skills - He’s a keeper!! Thanks again.

The technician was very good at his job so far. Only time will tell just how good. But right now I think he was great. Your price was way to high. Will have to think long and hard to use your company again. U got four stars on account of your service tech.

We use this company where I work and liked the quality and professionalism, that we called them to replace our home system April 2021. After the installers installed the unit, the owner came by to double check the work and make sure it was up to standard. That kind of professionalism is hard to find. 100% recommend this company. Great companies like this seem to be hard to come by :-)

Tri South Mechanical is a really great contractor. We recently had a remodel project and hired them to do a number of things. They were very professional from beginning to end. They showed up on time, were responsive, had great pricing, stood behind their work, and most importantly, did everything possible to please us. I have never received such great treatment from a contractor before. A very different good experience. Highly recommend.
