If you are using Capital City, please ask for Jerry P as your technician. He is incredibly skilled, punctual, efficient and just a really nice guy.
Also a tip, if you have an issue with a Frigidaire appliance, purchase a flat rate repair through Frigidaire. -
Very quick- based on info provided they were able to order the needed part and scheduled my appt once it was received. Took 15/20 mins and stove is working great. Appliance was under warranty so not sure about pricing.

Technician came out took a look for around 5 seconds and said he couldn’t do it. Said he’d need me to move my dryer off of my washing machine myself first, and then pay $400 for them to simply replace the boot seal of my front loading washing machine. I understood it was gonna cost a couple hundred bucks to do the job but $400 is absolutely outrageous considering I have the part already.

The repairman who replaced the part wasnt someone I would have working for me.i asked if the machine running without water would burn up the pump. He said no and nothing else. He didnt even run the machine thru a cycle to see if it resolved the problem. I did one load since repair and it sounds like while in the wash cycle it's making a noise like a gear is missing a couple teeth.so not to impressed with the repairman. I was always told to try out what I fixed to make sure it worked like it was designed to.the washer is a whirlpool and was told that they were having problems with them. The circuit boards in the washers weren't built right.so the company was repairing them under a warranty even if the warranty was expired. If that was the case, why should I have to pay for a service call fee for a defective design by whirlpool. Think I wont be purchasing any more whirlpool products.

Tech wasn't able to do anything, charged $107 for diagnosing the problem I told them about. Days later got a proposed fix that would cost an additional $250. I got someone else to fix it in 10 minutes, for a much lower cost. They were also incredibly rude on the phone.

Tech James T arrived with a friendly greeting, had the right tool and the right part, fixed the problem I-kid-you-not in less than a minute, told me how long to let it cool and to have a good day. Smashed his guitar and left like a rock star. That’s what I call service.

Cap city is fantastic!! We won’t ever use another appliance repair. Scott showed up right on time and fixed the dryer fast. Kudos to your scheduling online too!!

Let me tell you guys what I just learned about appliance repair men. They are not appliance repair men at all. They come out to your house and give you an estimate to fix said appliance that far exceeds what the appliance originally cost to begin with. They KNOW that you are going to decline the repair so…..they collect your $100 and move onto the next person. Im in the wrong business. Repair man Keith H. was rude. I was working 30 mins from the house when he called to let me know he was 30 mins away. When I arrived, he was already there and proceeded to lecture me about how they don’t wait around. Ill never call these bums again.

Capital City did the repair under an extended warranty, so there was no cost to us but we could not have been more pleased. The technician found the problem right away, explained what needed to be done, and gave us helpful advice on maintaining our dishwasher. Arrived as scheduled, wasted no time when he was here, & was courteous and professional. A++

So far I’ve had two issues with my kitchenaid fridge and out of 3 companies CapCity techs were the only ones that knew how to work on a fridge. Go direct. Do not provide info to anyone in the top few Paid or unpaid search numbers/sites online. After submitting a request, I’m getting spammed about everything other than my fridge. Gave up and remembered to call the MFG. they immediately got me to cap city. Problem solved.

I had Capitol City at my house 4 times for a Whirlpool fridge that was only 6 months old. The left door on a French door fridge would not stay open. After leveling and placing a shim in the door, they stated it was supposed to close. I asked if the left door is supposed to close, why doesn’t the right? I asked where in the owner’s manual it says they’re supposed to close, because it stated the closure did not engage until the door was at a 40-degree angle or less. I asked why the pictures and video on the Whirlpool website show the doors staying open. Crickets…
After calling Whirlpool to complain, they sent Capitol City back out (since they are the only “certified” company in the area) and asked that the Capitol City technician call the Whirlpool tech line when they arrived at my home. The Capitol City technician couldn't make any progress in keeping the door open and kept saying it was “functioning as designed”. I asked him to call the Whirlpool tech line as instructed by Whirlpool, but he refused, saying he would be on hold for too long and had other appointments to get to.
After speaking with the Capitol City manager, I don't feel she took the time to listen to my concerns; she kept insisting there was nothing wrong, even though there was.
It’s now fixed, but only after repeatedly escalating the issue with Whirlpool and involving the consumer compliance department of the Ohio Attorney General’s office. It should never have reached that point! The technician who fixed it said it was the first part he replaces when a door doesn’t stay open.
At the end of the day, Capitol City failed me as a customer; they expected me to live with a tainted brand-new, $1,500 refrigerator, insisting nothing was wrong, when a $22 piece of plastic fixed the problem. Since you are the only certified repair center in the area, I wish your expectations for the quality of service were higher. -
Capital City Appliance was very responsive to our needs to find out why our refrigerator wasn’t working. It’s 10 years old and I was afraid we would have to buy a new one. they came very promptly, And as it turns out — by the time the technician got here it was working again. Just like going to the dentist, your tooth stops hurting by the time you get there.
But the technician was kind enough to look at it and he concluded that there must’ve been a brief power outage in the house, which caused the refrigerator to come back more slowly than everything else.
we agreed we had noticed a bit of a power outage very briefly. It’s been working fine ever since and he told us we’ll probably get another 10 years out of it. Hooray!
Well worth the cost of the visit! -
Tech called to verify appointment 15 minutes prior. I ask him if he knew where the house was because the address is confusing. He assured me he did. I notify the tenant he was on the way. 45 minutes later, the tenant called and said no one ever came. I called back the number on my phone from the tech and got the office. Someone in the office told me the tech had went to the house and someone there told him they didn’t need their refrigerator repaired. I told the person on the phone he had went to the wrong house and should have called me to find out what was going on. I was then told I would need to reschedule. After my protest and a consultation with a supervisor, I was assured that he would be back out later that afternoon and that I would be notified when he was on the way back. Never got a call from the tech, but later that afternoon the tenant text me and told me it had been repaired.
Bottom line is the refrigerator got repaired, but I think it could’ve been handled a little bit better by the technician. -
Outstanding service from Capital City Appliance!
We had a brand-new GE wall oven that powered on but the touch panel wasn’t responding. Dillon came out, diagnosed the problem in minutes, and found that a ribbon cable behind the display had come loose during installation. He fixed it on the spot, tested everything, and made sure the oven was running perfectly.
Dillon was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional — you can tell he really knows his stuff. I couldn’t be happier with the service. Highly recommend Capital City Appliance to anyone needing reliable, honest appliance repair! -
As of 12/29, service was great! Unfortunately our dishwasher went out a week before Christmas, but was covered under warranty. Frustrating part was to get scheduled via Costco and Whirlpool, but Capital City Appliance handled everything on their end professionally and expeditiously. Would recommend them in the future!

I received technical support from someone whose name I won’t mention, but based on their comment, they seem to be there often. The first time they visited my place, they told me that pressing the cancel button—which eventually stopped the noise from a water leak—would void the dishwasher’s warranty. The second time they came, they left all the dishwasher parts scattered on the floor, even after I asked them to put everything back. This is not a service I would ever use again.

We’ve call these guys out to the house about 4 times since we bought the appliance with the extended warranty. Each time they’ve been impressively professional and showed an obvious expertise in appliance repair. They actually exceeded my expectations every time we’ve called them.

Put new timer on my dryer. It worked, but the next morning, the dryer cut off and would not start again. I've tried contacting them several times but have yet to hear from them. The technician was nice, polite and professional. Things happen, I understand that. However, there is no excuse for poor customer service, or in this case, the total lack of customer service.

Scheduled for a date for appliance repair through Whirlpool. I specifically ensured the date was available by phone before paying and they said it was. She said every day including even tomorrow was available. I scheduled for a week out on a day I could be home. Capital City Appliance Service texted me and told me the date was not available. They also had the wrong appliance in the message they sent, so I thought it may have been spam. I called Whirlpool back to confirm this was the company they contracted with. After the carelessness experienced and reading the reviews online, I decided it was best to process cancel the service, process a refund online, and hire someone else to do it.

From setting up appointments to completed repair, the customer service was accommodating.
Our tech was very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose the issue. He explained the problem and immediately ordered the part. When he returned to install the part, he did so without issue. -
We contacted our home warranty provider regarding a dishwasher leak that occurs during longer cycles. Capital City Appliances sent a technician on 10/01/2025 who was very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave helpful advice on detergent usage and identified that the sump motor wasn’t spinning, so he ordered a replacement part.
However, when a second technician arrived on 10/07 to install the pump, he claimed there was no leak during his brief 15–20 minute visit and chose not to replace the part. This left us wondering—why did we wait a full week for a follow-up appointment if the issue wasn’t going to be addressed?
To make matters worse, customer service told us, “We do not just throw parts at units,” and “If the tech showed up today and could not replicate the leak, then they will not replace the part.” This conflicting approach is not professional and left us feeling misled. We’re paying for insurance, yet the result has been zero resolution.
