What should have been a simple drain unclog turned into an expensive mess because of this company’s work. While servicing my line, the pipe under the road was damaged, and once the problem surfaced, I was left to deal with the consequences on my own.

Instead of taking responsibility or helping resolve the situation, the company distanced themselves and offered no real support. The result was that I ended up paying the city for repairs to infrastructure that was never an issue before they were involved.

The most frustrating part wasn’t just the damage — it was the complete lack of accountability and follow-through afterward. If you’re hiring a plumber in the Columbus area, be extremely cautious. A routine service turned into a major, costly problem, and I was left holding the bill.

The two men that came to my home were professional, polite, hard working. They did not leave until they were sure the problem was resolved. I am already planning on scheduling them for some additional work.

The Local Plumber will always have our business! They were prompt, professional, and very clear with what needed fixing and what was ok with our house. They gave lots of info and explanations when we asked about different products and options. Super great guys, highly recommend.

When I called Travis he was able to schedule an assessment same day. Although I didn’t have a major issue Shamus was professional and educational. Daniel from The Local Plumber arrived on time, reviewed the work order and verified the estimate price. I hired them to remove & install a new kitchen faucet & garbage disposal (which I supplied). In starting the removal process, Daniel showed me that the existing shut off valves were not working, so I had him replace those as well. Daniel kept me informed of what he was doing, explained the features of the new faucet & GD, and cleaned everything up and showed me that everything was working with no leaks. He was here about 2 1/2 hours. I’m very pleased with the work & the price and definitely recommend The Local Plumber for your plumbing needs. I also received 2 other quotes and The Local Plumber was the cheapest of the 3 and did great work.

It's a photo of a basement toilet... sorry, not too exciting! Except... the service received, absolutely was. It was a breath of fresh air, to say the least. A referral from a friend - we connected same day, out the next, and problem resolved. Not only do they do great work and the communication exceptional - they are good humans! Call them, you'll be glad you did.

Needed a garbage disposal that was hard wired and connected to the dishwasher removed. Daniel was so knowledgeable on all aspects. He provided a clear estimate and completed the job expertly and quickly including testing and clean up. I will definitely use their services again when a need arises.

Had The Local Plumber install an owner-furnished Rinnai tankless water heater — tank-to-tankless conversion with new venting, gas line work, and condensate drain. Travis came out for the estimate and was thorough and honest about what the job would involve. The crew completed the install in a day.

After the install, I noticed a few things that needed correction based on the manufacturer's specifications. Shamus, their production manager, had independently caught one of the issues as well. They came back, addressed everything, and the job passed Franklin County inspection with no issues.

What impressed me most was how they handled the callbacks — no pushback, no excuses, just ownership and a commitment to getting it right. That tells you more about a company than a perfect install does. I'd hire them again.

We have hired the Local Plumber three times now. We had both hose spigots on our exterior replaced due to age/leaking as well as on/off valves on the lines in our crawl space. We also had them fix a leaking old refrigerator line in our crawl space and we lastly had them add a drain, and on/off to our cold water on the hot water heater.. and a overhaul of it as well (flush it out and replace elements). The gentleman who came out to assess things, Travis, is an awesome guy and very straight forward. The plumber who did the repairs, Daniel H, also a great guy. Both of these guys were super friendly and nice, and made me feel comfortable having them in my home. We will continue to hire The Local Plumber as long as we live in this area!

I don’t like piercing saddle valves. I don’t trust them. Recently moved into a house with saddle valves for ice maker and humidifier and another that was abandoned. The Local Plumber replaced them with proper piping and valves. They were very prompt on their estimate, scheduling the service call and completing the work. Pictures are before and after.

I love the fact that this company is local and family owned. I would much rather support my community and businesses. I’ve used the Local Plumber several times now and have never been disappointed. On Friday, I turned on my outside hose for the season but noticed there was a leak in my basement. I called to schedule an appointment and Seamus was out on Monday to take a look. He showed me the issue and fixed a burst pipe very quickly so it didn’t affect my workday. This company is fantastic. The people are knowledgeable and friendly. I’m so glad I found them.
