They worked with us on chimney repairs related to a tree strike on our home, as well as long overdue repairs to the gas log system in our fireplace. Brittany did an excellent job at coordinating and communicating with us about the whole process. Both exterior and interior teams did wonderful jobs. Steven and his team were very respectful, knowledgeable and friendly. Both Brittany and Steven went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer services and made sure we’re happy with our finished project. We love working with them. We couldn’t be happier with the finished results. Not only the fireplaces are aesthetically beautiful, but It’s also comforting to know we’ll be able to keep the house warm if power ever goes out in Winter.

Did not show or call for the first appointment, when contacted I received an apology and another date 9 days later that I accepted. They did not show or call that day either. Wasted quite a lot of my time instead of just declining the job.

Finding and scheduling a contractor for home repairs can be a stressful experience, but from the moment I called Portland Fireplace and Chimney I knew I was in good hands. The people I talked to on the phone were knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions I had, and scheduling was super fast and easy. Could not be more happy with the work. Louis was personable and taught us a lot. The work was impeccable. I cannot believe how clean the chimney was. Louis kept the rest of the room so clean. We have cream colored carpet and not one bit of the chimney material made it on the floor with the shroud he built. Portland Fireplace and Chimney you have made a lifelong customer.

Really good experience with Portland Fireplace and Chimney! Our house has an unused chimney that was blocking part of a room inside our home. We had to get the roof replaced, and before that, Mike came to inspect our chimneys and make sure the unused one was safe to remove. Mike explained everything to us during the inspection, and then our chimney removal was quoted and scheduled within a week. The work was done quickly, and Duck & his team let us know what was happening during the two days of work. We have so much more space inside our home, and our roofer was able to begin work days later. Thanks so much!

Louis, Caleb and Mark helped us update our dilapidated chimney and modernize with a gas insert. They were all really professional and nice to work with. The new fireplace really makes a difference and they even offered to fix some masonry on the property. I now have the peace of mind that our chimney is no longer a hazard and am enjoying the new fireplace so much.

The service guys are the absolute best -- we had Nile and Kenny do our install and they were amazing. Incredibly efficient, polite, professional, and worked with us every step of the way to make sure we were aware of everything going on and keeping us feeling comfortable - I can't recommend them enough. Our original inspector, Mike, worked miracles to get us a fireplace that would fit out small space and still allow for our dream setup, and Desirae helped coordinate it all. Will absolutely stay with them for service and maintenance in the future, as well.

After the last ice storm that cut off power for 6 days and left my home without a source of heat, I vowed to replace the cosmetic gas burning but heat sucking fireplace insert with one that actually would heat the house during a power outage. The staff at Portland F&C not only helped me select a perfect match for my living room and heating requirements but also discovered a flawed chimney repair job from a previous contractor. Everything was done professionally and within a reasonable time. Calab and Mark worked safely and meticulously to finish the project on time. The communication was great during the whole time of the project. The fireplace looks great!

First time using these folks. Mike Keller came out to inspect and clean my chimney. Very professional. Left no mess at all and even vacuumed out my woodstove!! Fun story! He was late to get here because the stop before had a squirrel caught in the woodstove. Being the animal lover he is, Mike took care to get the live squirrel out of the stove and set it free. Any other place would have told the homeowner that it was their issue and refused the job but these folks are just that nice!!

Brittany and Melody made sure that I was kept in the loop and their timely communication was very appreciated!! Mike came and found some gaps in my flashing that we will repair and will order a chimney cap from them to future proof our chimney. I felt heard and taken care of. These guys are GREAT!!
