We had an issue with our 70 year old chimney at our cabin and needed some work done. Portland Fireplace and Chimney extensively reviewed and made recommendations. They provided us many options we selected a few. They delivered on time and our chimney looks and works beautifully. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Pleasure working with such great crews.

As new owners of a 1911 craftsman, we had a wood-burning fireplace that hadn’t been used in more than a decade due to the state of its original chimney. We opted to rebuild from just below the roofline, tuckpoint the remaining original structure and convert to a gas insert - a pricey investment. Portland Fireplace and Chimney’s on-site crew was fantastic, and especially earned a 5-star for great customer service by their craftsmen after misstatements by an inexperienced estimator. Our mason, AJ, took time to help us understand why the rebar reinforcement the estimator had promised wasn’t possible and reassure us that the new chimney would be safe regardless. He and his assistant Richard were polite, efficient, and conscientious workers, who even stacked the old bricks for a future landscape project. Our gas plumber, Steven, fabricated a custom backplate when the originally spec’d insert was too big for our space and we had to switch to a different model. He and his assistant, Derek, were equally professional, pleasant and fastidious with their work in our home. Portland Fireplace and Chimney was pricey, but owner Louis Lee adjusted the bill promptly and fairly for the mistakes in estimating, and their crew was awesome.

We had a serious water leak occur on Thanksgiving. A defective part in the laundry room was to blame. I found Puroclean of Happy Valley in a search and reviews looked good.
They came right out and worked with my insurance company to make the water mitigation and repair process go smoothly.
The combination of their extensive knowledge and quality equipment helped to resolve the severe moisture trapped in our ceiling and walls.
I would hate to have another disaster like this but I certainly know who to call.
They also mentioned that they could test for mold and do other types of inspections to prevent problems in the future

Okay, wow, where to start.

I've been a homeowner for 4 years, and while i knew something like this could happen, i wasn't prepared for it at all.

I was referred to PuroClean by my insurance agent's office because we had water seeping from under the kitchen floor, effectively ruining the floor, and the plumber i initially contacted was unable to find the primary source of the water.

They showed up observing social distancing and mask protocols, took care to keep my carpets in mind when walking through the house, and kept me reassured that the leak would be found and things will be alright.

Source ended up being a small hole in the kitchen sink supply line that only leaked when water was running at the faucet. Water ran down the back wall and under the flooring. It had pooled under the top part of the floor and was affecting all the cabinets and part of the living room carpet too. PuroClean kept me informed on the findings and made suggestions as to the path forward.

PuroClean had to remove the top level of the floor and get the kitchen dried out. A large dehumidifier and a pair of floor air movers were brought in and run. Impressive machines, they had the water dried up pretty quickly. PuroClean also ended up needing to remove the cabinets. While i would have expected there to have been a bit of mess left over for me to clean up, when they were finished i found everything to have been vacuumed up and all the debris removed, including the damaged floor and the cabinetry!

This sort of thing isn't fun by any stretch of the imagination. PuroClean came out all the way from Happy Valley to Scappoose to help me out, and i'm very grateful for their professionalism, reassurance, attention to detail, and guidance. You can tell these guys are experienced, and while i never want to have to see them again, i feel a little better knowing that they are out there.

We had an emergency clean-up situation after some homeless person left a bio-hazard mess in front of our offices. Diriba and his team were very helpful and responsive and cleaned up the mess within an hour of our initial call. We will use and recommend them for all of our future needs on this area.

Diriba from PuroClean came out to my house to check moisture levels in my basement after recent flooding. His willingness to inspect the affected areas provided great peace of mind. Thank you!!

Puroclean came the same day the water damage happened on a Friday afternoon not only to inspect the extent of water damage but they were ready to act on it. They brought heavy dehumidifier machines and several dryers. They installed them in the areas where damage was heavily suspected. The floor of the bathroom upstairs where the water supply line broke was deemed dry over the weekend along with the carpet near the bathroom that got drenched. That was successful as the cost would have been much to replace the tiles and redo the bathroom not to mention time commitment and inconvenience of us not being able to use it. The downstairs ceiling right underneath the carpet on the second floor dried as well and they were able to communicate with the adjuster from Farmers to extend the drying time where a section of the wall wouldn't dry and needed removal and reconstruction so they set it up so that the dehumidifier blows directly onto that section by stapling the wall. They tried everything to dry, prevent mold formation and avoid demolition of a section of our ceiling and most importantly make me happy as I asked many questions and requested they do their best to save the ceiling as I didn't wish to deal with construction nor have time to deal with construction. We called PuroClean after a break in our master bath soaked the floors of our adjoining master bedroom. PuroClean not only answered my telephone call but showed up and did the clean up the very same day. I appreciated this because I was worried about mold in my water soaked carpets. Mr. Sapanie and crew were professional, polite, and very helpful. Also, Mr. Sapanie referred me to a HVAC company who worked with my insurance to address the damage done to our ducts. This HVAC company was the only one who said “yes” vs 4 other businesses that said “no.” Further, Mr. Sapanie also referred us to a flooring contractor we are now working with to redo our water damaged floors.
