I have used Matt Mertz Plumbing on several occasions. Everything from replacing main sewer line, leaky hot water tank, to small furnace repairs. I cannot express enough about the quality of service each one of its employees perform on every job. Not to mention the genuine respect they show to my family and home. I've called after hours many times, and Mr. Mertz himself has returned my calls to address my needs and concerns. We are now loyal customers because of the trust I have in their work. More than fair prices are a bonus as well.

Matt Mertz did an excellent job replacing our house trap and lining the sewer. All of the guys who stopped out were super professional and knowledgeable. They went into great detail of what was going on each day. I would gladly have them back to do additional work if ever necessary.

The service provided was top notch. After having 2 other plumbers came in to try and fix a backed-up main stack and were unsuccessful, Adam from Matt Mertz showed up, assessed the situation, and fixed the problem in less than an hour and for $100 less than the first guy wanted just to take the toilet off. This wasn't a permanent fix as I will need some major work done in the future, but I fully expect to call Matt Mertz when the come comes to get that work done.

Over the last 4 or so years, we have hired Matt Mertz to perform around $45,000 of plumbing work. We have worked with dozens of contractors. Matt Mertz' professionalism and quality is well above others. We value their services because they set and meet expectations with respect to price, scope, and schedule. On our most recent job, I asked for a few minor changes to the sewer routing on the fly, and they happily accommodated.

We woke up this morning to a flood in our basement. Not knowing the cause, we immediately called Matt Mertz having just used them recently.
We called around 9:00am and the operator said we would get a return call in the afternoon. We got a call well before noon, so we rushed home to meet Adam, our plumber that arrived at our house. He was professional, friendly and "right down to business". He brought in a snake and Rigid sewer camera to analyze the sewer pipe, which I became fascinated with(what a great tool)! Within minutes he determined that we only had
a small back-up at the corner of the house and his equipment unplugged the problem. Feeling helpless in the morning led to glee and optimism after Adam and Mertz showed up. We felt we were possibly looking at hundreds (if not $$$thousands in sewer costs) and Adam quelled all of our fears as he brilliantly solved the problem in minutes. Not only we were thrilled but Mertz only charged the minimum charge of $89.00. Our hats off to Adam and the Mertz Plumbing Company. We will always use them because of their credibility, response time and affordability.

These guys are Great! Very nice and professional. They listen to you and look at all what is needed. They get things done quickly. They did my drain in the laundry and garage, drain pipe and sewer line. They left my areas very clean. They made sure my sewer was done right and finished with upgraded applications. The price was great for the work they did. I am so grateful. I will definitely be using them again.

I called around to a lot of places for quotes on a water heater replacement and these guys had the best rate by far. Dispatch was very pleasant to deal with, and Maryanne made sure I was on the schedule before the weekend so my daughter and I weren't without hot water until Monday. Brandon came out at the exact time dispatch said he would, and he was very polite and professional. He explained everything clearly and did not try to upsell me on a bunch of stuff I didn't need which is more than could be said about a lot of competitors. There were absolutely no hidden fees or up charges, I paid exactly what was quoted. Brandon even gave some advice on possible issues with my chimney and things to look out for on my PVM. From start to finish, I really don't think it could've gone better. I'll absolutely be calling them for future work.

Matt Mertz' plumbers showed up today within ONE hour of calling them, which was hours earlier than expected! Completed the job within the hour, let me know what they were doing step by step and solved the issue. The plumbers were professional, friendly, clean and did an excellent job for a VERY fair price! 10/10 will call again for any plumbing needs! We called a different plumber in Pittsburgh who was highly rated on Google and they never called us back within 12 hours... so glad we called Matt Mertz! Don't waste your time or money, these guys really know what they're doing!

Rob from SC was wonderful. Tackled 3 jobs in one visit easily. Had another plumber back for another job a couple weeks later, another awesome job. I expected the cost, as we had a lot to do, but I'm thrilled we used Mertz. It's always good when your mom recommends a business and they treat you just as well as her. Thank you guys!

We realized an awful smelling black liquid was backing up into our shower drain, we asked our friends about local plumbers and every single one of them came back with Matt Mertz. We gave them a call and they got us scheduled with a reasonable 4 hour window a few days later (We told them it wasn't a rush or emergency to us, they didn't force us into a later date.) On the day of my appointment I called in to confirm I was on the books, as I was leaving work for this and have had experiences with other companies not showing. Diane answered, was very pleasant, was able to confirm me and tell me who would be coming out for me. A short while later Adam gave me a call to let me know he would be here in 20 minutes, and sure enough he pulled up 20 minutes later. Adam was very friendly and professional. When he asked how I was I said "Hopefully better if this can be resolved" and he answered positively with " Not hopefully, we're gonna get you all sorted out." He worked quickly and explained what the issue was clearly. He answered all of my questions, cleaned up after himself, and was back out of my door for the exact quoted cost, not a penny more, in 15-20 minutes. I would absolutely call Matt Mertz again for my plumbing needs.

We needed a plumber to identify where a leak coming through on our den ceiling was coming from. We read the good reviews about Matt Mertz online, the business was located near us, our call was answered immediately and an appointment scheduled. A pleasant plumber showed up on time quickly figured out what was causing the leak. We agreed to the repair. His work was neat and timely. We are grateful!An

Matt Mertz Plumbing is fantastic! I had a old Pittsburgh sink (concrete) in my basement that I wanted to replace. They removed the nasty old sink, fixed the clog and installed a nice new sink in one afternoon. The plumber was so professional as well as everyone I worked with to schedule and on the phone. Very reasonable quote and happy with the service. Will be using them again!

I recently used Matt Mertz to diagnose, troubleshoot, and replace my home’s sewer traps and line the sewer pipe to the street. The team could not have done a better job. Everyone was friendly and well informed and the did an excellent job of scheduling and communicating with me.

I will absolutely be recommending to anyone that needs a plumber.

Called Matt Mertz Plumbing for a basement drain that was clogged. They promised same day service but had about a 6-7 hour window to arrive. I expected that to mean i'd be waiting 6 or 7 hours, but was pleasantly surprised to have a plumber arrive within 3 hours. He was efficient and professional. Cleaned up after himself and even went way beyond cleaning up a drain mess i had made in the nearby sink, which wasn't necessary to do for the repair. I can't recommend strongly enough and I will be using Matt Mertz Plumbing for any other needs I may have.

A sinkhole formed in the alley behind my house that turned out to be from a collapse in my lateral sewer line. I called two companies and got similar quotes. Matt Mertz was a little more than the other company, but I was impressed by their thoroughness and due diligence. Eric went above and beyond to ensure he had all the right information and patiently and fully explained the job to me. He also made sure that he talked to the correct inspector with DOMI to find out exactly what was needed to repair the alley to their satisfaction. They started the job promptly and always communicated clearly about what they were doing and when. All of the workers were professional and pleasant to deal with and the job site was cleaned up every day. This was a costly nightmare, but dealing with the folks from Matt Mertz was a pleasure. I never was left wondering what was going on and the job was done efficiently and carefully. I highly recommend them.

We hired Matt Mertz plumbing to repair extensive sewer problems and spent nearly $15,000 in two separate jobs when the company had just started. The customer service was excellent and the work performed well. HOWEVER, we more recently had Mertz Plumbing install a faucet. It subsequently leaked; they came out and repaired it with a service charge. It is leaking again now; Mertz Plumbing is referring me to the manufacturer for a replacement (reasonable request) and then said they'd come out and install it. I am assuming this will be another expensive service charge. I don't expect the company to do work without being paid. The problem is I am being put off and still have a leaky faucet they installed and fixed once, but still is still leaking. Where is loyalty to customers? Very disappointed in the lack of customer-friendly response.

They replaced two toilets that were supposed to be standard height but they installed comfort height. Not a problem as they apologized and rescheduled then installed the proper height toilets. The plumber was really friendly and knowledgeable, as was the manager I spoke with. I will continue to use them. Oh, 4 out of 5 only because of installing twice but that was simple miscommunication.

The plumber from MM was very professional and worked his tail off. He was very kind and explained exactly what he needed to do to fix my leaks. The price was VERY reasonable. I honestly will NEVER use another plumber. This was my second experience with Matt Mertz and I was equally delighted with both visits. I can’t say enough about how pleased I am with the AMAZING service that I’ve received. I highly recommend!!!

Well the new company armstrong that took over mmp was absolutely the biggest waste of my time ever. They were supposed to be here between 8-9am 1st appt. Showed up at 12:55 with no phone call telling us they would be late. We had to contact them to find out when they would arrive. They now have fixed pricing to swap out a toilet almost $400. To swap out a hot water tank $800. Etc. Why couldnt they just tell us that over the phone? Then they have to email me a quote to change piping undersink for disposal. I had used mmp previously and had been pleased. Not this time.

We had a great experience with Matt Mertz Plumbing. They were able to see us within 24 hours. Their plumber Joe was able to see us earlier than expected. He came very professionally and polite, and did a great job fixing our issues.

We had an issue with an old sewage line, and after getting multiple quotes, Matt Mertz provided us with the best price. Every employee was kind and courteous, and I was highly impressed with the communication the employees provided throughout the job. I cannot recommend Matt Mertz enough. Their work was phenomenal and they even worked on Christmas Eve to make sure that our work was complete. Wonderful company with wonderful people!
