Lyle Roberts, Serviceman with Roto Rooter, was extremely professional and knowledgeable of his craft. Not only did he take the time to explain everything to me, but he also offered advice for the future. I could not be more happy with the service provided and will definitely contact them and refer them in the future.

This is the second time in the last four years that we have used this Roto-Rooter team and they are amazing. Always friendly, fast, and professional. On this visit Jermaine was the technician that came out and he was wonderful! Jermaine explained everything to me, he made sure that what he did was the correct fix, he asked me if I had any questions, he confirmed what he did and even made sure that I remembered that there was a warranty on his work for the job performed. I will choose this team and location every time!!!

Lyle and the Roto rooter team did a great job helping us with our sewer. We had a difficult situation that required them to come out three separate times and go to a great effort to correct. They were on time, communicated well, and always straight forward with pricing. We appreciate their help!

The team that helped me today were so kind and incredibly professional. They arrived earlier than expected, and called ahead to let me know that Lyle would be my technician. Everything is fixed up, and someone will be following up next week to determine if there is additional work that needs to be done. For a holiday week, I am so pleased with the service level provided, and thankful that someone is returning next week to take a more extensive look. They were on time, very professional, and fast. They replaced the main water line. And, didn't do nearly as much damage to my front yard as I was expecting. I had both plumbing service and water mitigation service. Both services were excellent. They gave great customer service and were just all around decent people. Joe did my plumbing work and Severn and his partner (whose name I don't recall just now because I communicated mostly with Severn) did my water mitigation. They were very thorough and now I'm ready for repair/replacement. I recommend this company for BOTH plumbing and water mitigation.

I used Roto-Roter to unclog a washer that was not draining. The tech arrived at my home within 10 minutes. I could not believe how fast they were ready to provide service. The tech was extremely nice and did a great job explaining the process of how he would find the clog and fix the problem. The thing that really impressed me was he explained how I could get the discount coupon and also he went beyond the call of duty to assist me in adjusting my hot water temp on my water heater at no additional cost. Now, that is what I call GREAT customer service. His attitude was very positive and a can do spirit. You need more techs like Hunter.

Called Roto-Rooter on Thursday morning. They were out in a couple hours. They diagnosed the blockage/broken exterior line and had it fixed by 1pm on Friday! Couldn't ask for better, quicker customer service.

Our water heater went out and Roto-Rooter was able to make it to my house the same day! Rob came out and replaced our water heater in a fast and timely manner. He was knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter to help out with any and all plumbing needs!

Lyle was very professional. He arrived in about a half hour of my calling. He knew what the problem was and got it done within 15 minutes. I was very happy with him and his work.

We have had a consistent clog for weeks in one of our classroom bathrooms in our preschool. We have cleared it ourselves several times but just couldn't figure out why it kept reoccurring. The team in the office answered immediately and got me set up with an appointment at the most convenient time. Jeff, our technician, arrived on time and found us easily. He took the time to explain each step of the process and showed us where he found the problem. He worked quickly to resolve the issue, and made sure my baths would be extra hot. Many props and brownie points to Jeff - who went above and beyond to make sure we were happy!

Roto Rooter in Memphis, called Court Av…Don’t miss the last part in this full accounting! The good and creepy. Good (really very good) is all the people who answer the phone and John plus another gentleman who called back are really nice, and professional.
The tech is Lyle. I explained to them prior it’s a blocked air conditioning drain which needs clearing with air pressure.
Lyle's older so I assumed experienced, yet he was uncertain and I had to explain the what and where as condensation causes this about every 3 to 4 years.
He tells me Roto Rooter doesn’t keep compressed air canisters on their trucks, plus he wants to use a couple of inches of material with a clamp - but Roto doesn’t keep them stocked up so he has to buy things on my time.
This TIMING - it was noon by now, and he told me it would take an HOUR AND A HALF to get these items. (!) Seriously. It's Memphis with supply houses and Lowe's nearby.
So when he said parts take 1.5 hours,
I stayed polite and said I’m missing work, I have cameras and a security system but he can’t work in our house alone (I understand that) and I didn’t want to put the repair off - it’s hot outside.
That was the only time he spoke brightly! He said how I could just go to work and then he could come back late; I said no.
So then he was very firm;
I was going to have to wait while he took 1.5 hours because Roto doesn’t stock that big truck with supplies.
So I’m in limbo,
while perhaps another customer is being helped or just a long lunch is going.
Also weird - he was very irritated when I told him I saw a coupon for any plumbing service $40 off, dropping the cost to $383 from $424. He didn’t tell me about coupons. Roto approved it, saying just show the tech.
Then later when he has the paperwork and my card he said he has to charge me 3% to use a credit card.
I said l’ll get you a check, might as well save 3 percent and Lyle frowning barked at me,
then you’ll have to give your phone number, license, date of expiration- all of which I wrote on the check myself. Customers just need to pay Roto-Rooter in full at the time of service, why be angry at how a person does that? His anger made no sense.
I’d given him a towel he left wedged in the air conditioning closet between the unit and the wall. Didn’t want to help me get it or clean up. And…
Yep, yep, it gets WEIRDER. Oh yes.
He’s telling me I’ll get a survey to review him (I never did) then turned away to be sure I couldn’t see it, began writing on his clip board while announcing in a SING SONG way (!)
“and now they make me write about YOU.” Huh?
So awkward.
Did someone at the office say something to him, so now he’s trying to make ME uncomfortable? I called while I was waiting when he was due to return.
Please don’t tell customers that, it’s just creepy! That DID make me very uncomfortable.
It’s made EVERYONE I’ve told highly uneasy just hearing about it!
To colleagues who’ve said they’d have immediately pointed to the door, I said with his aggressively rude behavior and now such a weird comment (that sing song - cringe!) and I was alone with him, you actually stay very polite and careful just wanting him to leave your house.
They agreed, and urged me to share my experience.
With no receipt, NO guarantee of work or any paperwork AT ALL I think he must have forged positive comments! Really bad and none of this is what you expect from Roto Rooter.
UPDATE - Root Rooter's polite response is fake. I called, spoke with her and asked that Eric call me back anytime from 6pm on since my husband and I both work full time. NEVER called back, I've paid in full and the check was deposited, no receipt. Their response was totally fake; they are fine with Lyle harrassing women.
