We can’t say enough great things about Reece HVAC. William and John would probably help you install a unit if you asked them too! These guys go above and beyond to help. Lots of hvac suppliers in the area but none of them will provide the service these guys do. If you’re an hvac contractor I highly recommend doing business with these guys.

We would recommend Reece HVAC in Austin. We’ve been working with John, William and Dalton and they have always been helpful, polite, and go above and beyond for our needs. Communication is solid with all of them as well. Keep up the great work and excellent customer service.

I called A Plus to schedule an initial visit to see if what I wanted could be accomplished in the 40 hours. They said that they would call me back to schedule it. After a week, I called back. They said they would call back. They never did, so I called back after another week. Finally, we scheduled their initial visit.

Josh & Gilbert show up to see the space. Gilbert was very professional and seemed very competent. I was not really sure why Josh was even there, but he was not very professional. While we were talking about the project, he plopped himself down and laid down on our bed. I'm not the most anal person, but I don't like sweaty strangers resting on my pillows. Gilbert sounded confident he could do the project in 40 hours; Josh kept telling me how he doubted it could be (and that it would be $80/hr after the 40).

A few days out from when they were supposed to start, they called and said they had to pull Gilbert to another job, and they would reschedule. 2-3 weeks went by, and they never called. After pestering them with phone calls, they finally rescheduled. This time they actually showed up.

They started the project on 11/21 and worked the following schedule:
11/21 - 5 hours 20 min (but they tried to charge me 7 hours to include travelling time. I said, "No, I am paying for 40 hours of labor. Getting to my house is the cost of doing business.")
11/22 - 3:25
11/23 - 3:35 (but there were two people, so 7:10 in man hours)
11/25 - 3:30 (again, two people, so 7:00 man hours)
...Now, here I guess they needed to pull Gilbert to a more lucrative job...so, they said they would schedule the rest of the project for the next week...the next week came and went with no call. A pattern had developed by this point, so I started pestering Katie (the phone lady) earlier. Gilbert finally returned on:
12/14 - 2:15
12/15 - 5:15
12/16 - 6:00
Gilbert had to go somewhere else again, so they finally finished the job on 12/21...a month after they started, and two months after they said they were going to start.

Now, the work itself sucked pretty bad. Electrical outlets needed to be cut; well they were cut too big, so they just put a glob of plaster in there. Plaster is not drywall, and it breaks. Now, whenever we flip the switch, it moves into the wall, because the flanges are not resting on the drywall.
They removed a window, and installed Hardiplank. It looks like crap, and I question its ability to keep out a good storm.
Gilbert did do a good job of spraying texture. However, he did not cover up anything even though I had provided three plastic sheets and a painter’s tarp. There was paint texture on our ceiling fan, bed footboard, leather ottoman, the electrical outlets and switches, and all over the carpet. We cleaned it up, but this is not what really ticked me off.
I purchased pre-hung French closet doors. They were sitting in the room the entire month of the project. Now, by this point they were trying to get outside the 40 hours quickly. They were stepping outside to take calls regularly. So, by the time they finished texturing, it was beyond 40 hours, and I would need to pay the regular $80/hr rate. I was pretty irritated at this point, and just wanted them out. I can hang a closet door.
...If the doorframe was built to fit the closet door...
I went to install it myself. The door is 80" tall. Pretty typical. Almost all doors at Home Depot or Lowes are 80" tall. The doorframe was not 80" tall. It was 79 1/2" inches tall. For a very brief moment, I thought about having them come out to fix it, but I figured that would take another month or two, and they would be trying to charge me for every little thing again. It was easier for me to just saw off an inch of the pre-hung frame. I got the doors in fine. Now though, because the doors are not as high as carpet makers assume a closet door would be, the doors drag on the carpet and it takes real force to open and close them.

Neal G was extremely polite as well as professional. He covered his shoes each time he entered my house. He kept me informed of the steps he was taking and explained the outcome of the servicing of the AC. A Plus has serviced our AC and heating systems since 1985. We have never had a reason to complain. Dave is my favorite person to work with.

Neal did a great job. He explained everything he was doing and told me how to care for my AC. He was a very friendly young man and I thoroughly appreciated his explanations and help. I was so glad that nothing major was wrong. Because of his knowledge and the way he treated me, my pets and my home, I will definitely consider A+ my AC company and call them in the future when I have any problems. I give A+ 5 stars!

Josh and his team led by Francisco installed a new Lennox HVAC system. Josh took the time to explain the options and costs of a new system so that we could make an informed decision. Francisco and his group arrived on time and completed the removal/installation within the expected time frame. They were careful not to damage the work space. They tested the unit and cleaned the work space. Josh after a week performed a follow up visit to check on the system and answer any additional questions, Everyone from A Plus did a great job. Based on our experience we would recommend A Plus to anyone considering a new HVAC system.

Highly recommend A-plus! They were able to get somebody to my house within an hour (on a Friday night!) after I came home to find that my AC was out. Neal was very kind, quickly found the problem and explained my options thoroughly. He was able to replace my broken thermostat on the spot! Would definitely use this service again.

Hunter did a great job. he showed up early and fixed our AC quickly. He was very honest about what he was doing, didn't try to upsell us and gave some very helpful tips to avoid future issues. Highly recommend.

I have used A-Plus many times for both my own house and now my father's...they always take very good care of me and my jobs are all done to such high level of finish...Kevin has done wood projects, Nemecio did construction in my bathroom and my dad's laundry closet and Edward did the construction, painting, tile and finishings in my dad's laundry closet...every one of these guys not only does the job they came to do but also makes excellent suggestions, if they see a way it could be done better...and Leighann in the office is wonderful to deal with too...A-Plus, from Josh's initial visit, to payment with Leighann, is a pleasure and I cannot recommend them highly enough...

Donald was so kind and professional. He explained thoroughly what the issue was with my air conditioner not working. A+ Air Conditioning and Heating is the best. I have been a happy customer for many years.

Update: Just had a new air conditioner installed. It's so quiet, I don't notice it, except the room becomes cooler.
A+ always gives the best service. They are honest, dependable and thorough in their work. I wouldn't hire anyone else.
The other services, like home repairs, are wonderful.

I needed to get the refrigerant collected from three compressor units before we demoed a house. A plus was very easy to schedule with. Their tech showed up on time and it was reasonably priced.

So far we've had a great experience with A-Plus, they did plumbing work for us a few years ago and has been working very well. Then on Friday June 16th I called and they came over immediately to see what our plumbing issue was. Waiting for an estimate at this point, but I'm very pleased with their service so far.

Jorge from A-Plus serviced my 14-year old HVAC system, he is very knowledgeable and helped me understand my system better. I felt he was honest, professional, and thorough and I look forward to seeing him again for future maintenance services. I did purchase their maintenance agreement plan which is of great value at a very reasonable price. Great local business.

Angel did a great job of getting my AC back up running. I called A-Plus in the morning and by the afternoon I had my AC working again.

We were very happy with the service. Neal was very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend it!

We had a drain problem I couldn't fix late in the day (after 5 PM) that was preventing our AC from running. I called and they had a tech out to fix it in a couple of hours. I really appreciate the same-day service on short notice and the tech (Angel) was professional and helpful. Would definitely use again!

We received several bids before we purchased a high-end Lennox HVAC system. We chose A+ based on their responsive and professional service and competitive pricing (including financing options). We also hired them for other services (new insulation and removal of an attic fan). We were very pleased with everything. The team was thorough and cleaned up after themselves as much as possible. We highly recommend this family-owned business.

Angel showed up on time and went right to work. He was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He explained what he was doing and why and even crawled under some bushes to fix the overflow drain. Great job A+.

I have used A-Plus for several years and always been pleased with them. The service technicians have been great (I have had different ones over the years), and their prices are competitive. Easily recommended. They've always been willing to listen to extra questions or help with small adjustments and the like too.

Sept 2025 update: we had some follow-up work done after something and they honored their work warranty with no effort required on our part. I feel like that's rare these days, so I am super pleased. Happy customer right here.

This was my first time to use A-Plus, and solely because of a friend’s referral. Thank goodness I took her advice. I had a great experience! My tech was Jorge. He identified and solved my issues in no time. Not only was he professional and knowledgable, but he was so patient with my many questions. Because he represented A-Plus with such integrity, I purchased Maintenance Agreements for all 3 of my units. For a first visit, I was more than pleased, and hope A-Plus will remain my “go-to” company.

Once again, I’m giving a great review for A-Plus! I just had my semi-annual maintenance for my heat pump. Before his arrival I got a call to let me know the tech was on his way. The tech (Niel) was very friendly, fast, and professional; he checked and cleaned the system, and gave it a clean bill of health. I couldn’t be happier with A-Plus AC & Home and highly recommend them… they’ve taken care of my home temp/comfort for years.
