I appreciate them being willing to add 1 to 2 lbs of freon to my unit which is otherwise working perfectly. They didn't say full replacement was my only option. Angel was here the next morning as promised and on time.

I contacted them this morning to fix a leaking minisplit system. They came out about five hours later and fixed it quickly. The technician was very friendly. VERY impressed!!

Considering the high temperatures, Neal came within the hour Saturday to address why my upstairs AC wasn’t cooling. As many calls he was getting, he patiently answered all my concerns and did a thorough inspection to locate the issues. He provided us with a temporary solution to get us through the weekend. David our go to rep at the main office promptly followed up with a long term solution to fix it. We are very satisfied and trust A+ for over 10 years for all our AC needs. Thank you A+!

Even though it was an unfortunate and frustrating situation to replace a brand new unit due to lack of quality on the builder side, A-Plus was nothing short of amazing and understanding. Andee made me feel so comfortable and supported throughout the entire process. Josh went above and beyond by getting us all the discounts and rebates possible and even let us borrow a window unit to keep us cool in the meantime. I needed to replace my HVAC system. Greg met with me, checked out my current system, discussed my problems and needs, provided several options, answered a multitude of questions, and ultimately provided a very reasonable cost proposal. He was professional, extremely knowledgeable about HVAC systems as well as the City’s rebate program, and walked me through the whole process from start to finish. Plus he’s super nice. Greg’s assistant, Andee, kept me apprised of schedules, steps in the process, warranties, etc. She was very responsive and patient throughout the process.
It’s important to me to support local, long-time businesses in Austin. I highly recommend A-Plus, and plan to use them for additional home maintenance projects.

A-Plus Air Conditioning did a great job by setting up an appointment for me quickly and keeping me apprised of the arrival of my technician. My technician Neil did a great job and was a very polite young man. He kept me informed of what was going on and what needed to be fixed and how I could maintain my unit in the future. He was very patient with the process of checking into my downtown condo and the restrictions of the building. I would definitely recommend A-Plus AC and will use them again.

Service technician who called at my house, Ron, was extremely professional, respectful and courteous. He diagnosed the problem, made the repair and handled payment very efficiently. He arrived very promptly within the service time window too.

Angel was very detailed oriented. He washed the Filter on my mini split, changed the filter on my air conditioner, cleaned the coilsand cleaned the drain.

A+ Air Conditioning is cost competitive and they do a great job. They’re easy to schedule with and they’ve caught a few things with my coils over the past few years. Great job. Angel is a great tech.

Two new air conditioners work really well and are nice and quiet. Two new thermostats allow us to set heat and cold parameters at the same time...which is a very nice upgrade from what we had.

Communications with Andee in the home office and the other staff were all very professional and friendly.

We had some minor issues that came up regarding having to remodel our fence around our new, larger A/C units that we would have liked to have known about in advance, but the A+ team did the best they could to address these issues.

I didn't actually end up going with A-Plus for my project. So I can't comment on their work or craftsmanship. I stopped at the estimate part of the process.

I asked several companies for quotes on a large project that included sound resistant insulation and new HVAC installation. Greg told me that they charged an upfront fee to do the in person estimate, which I agreed to.

Apparently the estimate rate increases every half hour. I paid Greg $185 for the estimate. It took over a month to get it. I had to reach out several times. He told me that he needed to have other members of his team come to accurately estimate the HVAC portions of the job. They never reached out to schedule, and they never came out.

When the estimate came, it was woefully incomplete. There was maybe two or three lines that were added to a boilerplate template, and it seemed all Greg wanted to really do was the HVAC install. When I asked about this Greg told me that it was too hard to quote the other items without starting the project and opening the walls first. I cannot go with a contractor who will not give me an idea or estimate of cost associated. Nothing in my project was unable to be estimated. The other companies I got estimates from had no problem.

What's worse was that Greg even took a personal call during my estimate time that he charged me for. This really rubbed me the wrong way.

This company might do great work, and it's a shame with their high Google rating that we didn't get a chance to do business together.

Hunter was very knowledgeable and performed the maintenance quickly. Honest evaluation of system and cleaned space after completion. I highly recommend A-Plus AC. Company does one thing and does it very well, instead of being and everything Company.

We were referred to A-Plus AC from a friend who has worked with them for years. Based on our experience with A-Plus AC I believe it will be the same for us. It has been several months since the installation and the HVAC has been running smoothly without issue since.
Factors on positive review:
1. We worked with the owner, who has decades of experience, who laid out several options, at a few price points, and discussed the pros/cons of each option in detail.
2. Once we agreed on an option, the team worked diligently through the installation of the new HVAC unit with no issues. Clean, professional installation.
3. After a few days of running the owner returned to discuss with us if there had been any issues and to check the HVAC system itself. HVAC had been operating with zero issues.

The owner, and entire team, were great to work with from start to finish. I would certainly recommend this company.
