Appliance Repair reviews in Houston, Texas

I found the HomeFix contact information on Google, showing a 5.0 A+ rating. I called & was told some would be able to see me that afternoon. I was texted when they were approximately 30 minutes from arrival. Serhii looked at my problem, advised almost immediately what was required to fix it, and said it would be probably 2-3 days for delivery.
He returned 2 days after his initial visit with the required parts & repaired my Maytag washer quickly & efficiently. He was polite, professional & performed what was needed with exemplary customer service.
I was very impressed & certainly extremely pleased with Serhii and HomeFix. I would recommend them to anyone who needs any sort of repairs made to appliances. It was truly a satisfying experience. -
I had an issue with my LG refrigerator not cooling properly, even though the freezer was still working. After reading some online reviews, I decided to contact HomeFix Appliance Repair in Houston. From the very beginning, the communication was clear and professional. They scheduled a same-day diagnostic, and the technician arrived right on time within the promised 3-hour window.
The technician quickly identified the problem — a faulty compressor, which is apparently a known issue with certain LG models. He explained the repair process in detail, gave me a fair estimate, and even showed me how the airflow was restricted between the freezer and the refrigerator compartment. I really appreciated his honesty and attention to detail.
They managed to get the correct LG-approved compressor and completed the entire repair the next day. The fridge was fully functional again within hours. It’s been over a week now, and everything is running smoothly — no strange noises, and all the compartments are cooling evenly.
I’m very satisfied with the level of service and professionalism. It’s not easy to find reliable repair companies these days, but HomeFix definitely earned my trust. I’ll be using them again for any future appliance issues. Highly recommend! -

After having a terrible experience with a different company I was so happy when I contacted Fixpert & they arranged a time to come out.
Ryan was brilliant at communicating & they managed to get the part for my washing machine the very next day! I’m happy they knew my desperate need to get the washer fixed & scheduled a time for the repair.
Very quick, extremely professional & clearly another happy customer:-) -
I contacted Fixpert via Yelp and they were there the next day to help fix my stovetop. They returned the following day with the part needed and it seems everything is fixed. I definitely recommend them if you need an appliance repair.

Mr. Roman did an amazing work fixing my dryer from what the other Sears technicians broke. I greatly appreciate his patience and can do attitude. He explained everything he was doing without an attitude.10/31/2024

Technician arrived on time. Spent some time diagnosing the problem and it seemed even longer putting an estimate together. My confidence in his expertise waned the longer he remained on his phone. From beginning to end of visit he referred me to homeowners warranties for appliances - appreciated the information at first, but after the third recital it became tedious. Declined the overly priced estimate - cost comparison indicated it was $150 - $200 over the typical price.

This was just a horrible experience. The field tech diagnosed the issue, presented the cost to repair and I paid for during first visit. Part was available at that time. Two weeks later field tech shows up to install and asked me for the part. I said you all ordered the part; nobody told us it would come to our house. He checked with his office and they had no idea when the part would arrive, but told me to call the 1800 number to check status. That is the nightmare. The voice prompt system is just horrible and getting to a actual person was difficult. When I did, they told me "we just changed systems and we are having problems locating your order, even though I have paid in full (~$700). One month has passed and voila the part arrived. I just schedule a new appointment online without human intervention and they showed up. I said "here you go, please install". So in the end the problem was fixed, it was just the horrible customer service, excuses and lack of "AI" working for me:)

The technician was efficient, helpful, and professional. However, everything else was horrible. Their call system is designed to prevent you from speaking with anybody. I had to call multiple times each time and figure out how to trick the system into letting me speak to a live person. The technicians ordered a part three different times before it finally arrived. When I tried to escalate, the call center said they couldn’t escalate or let me speak to anyone else because they don’t have access to the escalation people. They are all “offline.” We were without a washer for SEVEN WEEKS because of Sears horrible service!!!

Tech arrived approx 2 pm. once he determined what part was needed it took all of 15 minutes to install a compressor start device: that part was 73.71+6.08 tax= $79.79. The labor cost was $406.95+37.70 tax = $444.65, for installation of this part which I found to be excessive! I also paid 50.00 each plus tax for coil cleaning on this frig and a second frig in garage; the coil clean cost covered labor. Tech was out the door by 3:30. My total bill was $574.44 and work warranted for 30 days. Next time I need an appliance repaired I WILL NOT call Sears Appliance Repair.

Not happy at all with the service I received. The tech was sent out on behalf of my home warranty company. He refused to fix my appliance and left. He was only interested in selling me a Sears appliance. I’ve already called my home warranty company to notify them of this rude and unethical behavior.

Dryer is not drying clothes. The heat cycle is not properly working. 3 technicians have told me that if the heat comes on the dryer is working. Today they told me to use the Timed Dry cycle. Why do I have to guess how long to dry a load of clothes or 3 towels. We purchased a dryer with these features and it has worked properly for years. What kind of company policy dictates that if the heat turns on then the dryer is working regardless of the situation. NONSENSE!!!
The technician will not even look at the washer because it is next to the dryer and a wall. They installed it. -
Alexander was on time and did a very professional check up on b both the washer and the dryer.

Louis did everything possible to repair my oven but due to parts unavailable he could not complete it so he said I would need to get a new oven. He was friendly, pleasant, courteous and on time
