I had a less-than-pleasant experience with Tietze Plumbing. My elderly mother called to get a quote about replacing a water heater because it's around 9 years old and about time for a replacement, and the technician - Eric according to the invoice - used some frustrating sales tactics that I did not appreciate. I've been flipping houses for over a decade, and have experience with subs, trades, these pressuring sales tactics. Specifically, Eric was pushy about trying to find out who else we were getting quotes from, wanted to know who told us the water heater was 9 years old (looking up the model told us - concerning question from a plumber), asked my mom what she would do if hot water stopped working tomorrow (common tactic to pressure a sale when you're up front about collecting quotes from multiple companies), and before he would show my mom a quote, he asked her several times what her budget was. At this point I was frustrated and chimed in, "$500, we're asking *you* for a quote" (for anyone unfamiliar with water heater prices, they're about a grand to purchase sans labor, and the lowball "budget" was deliberate due to frustration). While I understand the purpose of this (setting expectations), the delivery was awful and pushy. Looking at other reviews, others seem happy with this company. But I am not at all pleased with how Eric handled this very simple quote request, and will not use or recommend him or this company for any of my flips or renovation projects in San Antonio and surrounding areas, and would advise others to be leery of "urgency sales tactics" - a good plumber does not approach a situation like this unless there is a solid reason for urgency concern - like, if she had mentioned issues with hot water, which she did not, this is a proactive, preventative maintenance, which was clearly communicated up front.

Tietze Plumbing was excellent to us! We had a toilet part break and they sent out a tech the same day we called! And today was Veterans Day so we were happy we were squeezed into the schedule! Travis arrived and looked at our issue and said he had the replacement part on his truck for the repair. As he worked he found our older toilet needed another part replaced that he didn’t have so he went to the shop and was able to replace both parts. We were so glad he went above and beyond to get our second bathroom working the same day!

Couldn't be happier with the service Tietze Plumbing, 5 stars isn't enough to express my gratitude for their service and professionalism. I called them on a Saturday to make an appointment because, my water heater was leaking and had completely turned off. On Sunday, Cody showed up, took pictures and explained what was wrong with my water heater. After discussing what needed to be done and agreeing to replacing the water heater, he prepped it in order to make the replacement easier for the technician that would make the installation of the new water heater. Cody, also annotated since Thanksgiving was this week he would place a rush on the order. On Monday I received a call that the heater would be installed on Tuesday. Tuesday morning, Travis showed up along with Dylan and they commenced to install the heater and within a couple of hours, I had a fully serviced and functioning water heater. Exceptional service, courteous and professional technicians who made sure everything was in order prior to leaving my home. I highly recommend Tietze Plumbing for any assistance or services required. On a scale of 1-10, they get a 10!!!!

Excellent service!! The technician did a yearly preventative maintenance service for my water heater and he showed me the sediment build-up, and he explained why yearly maintenance is so important. Professional , transparent, and highly recommended. Five stars!

We had a leak in our house late at night coming from our water heater in the attic. Tietze Plumbing responded quickly and kept great communication throughout the whole process. They arrived promptly, assessed the issue, and gave us multiple repair and replacement options.

In the end, we decided to upgrade to a tankless water heater — and we couldn’t be happier! The installation was clean and professional, and everything has been working perfectly since. It’s rare to find a company that’s this responsive, honest, and knowledgeable. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again or recommend them to anyone needing plumbing or water heater service!

Great experience today with Sam and Julian who came out when my heater stopped working. They were very knowledgeable, polite and quickly diagnosed the issue. They answered all my questions and concerns and repaired the issue quickly. I would definitely recommend.

Tietze always comes through! Josh was amazing! He was courteous and very knowledgeable and kept me informed during the troubleshooting as well as the repair. I have used them for a busted outside water line as well as a broken pipe under the foundation. Always top notch work. I recommend and will continue to use Tietze.

We had issues with hard water affecting plumbing in our house. I made an appointment online Friday morning and immediately had Tyler L. Scheduled, he came and explained everything to us, and came back the following day (Saturday) to finish the job. He had great customer service, and even explained options to prevent these issues in the future with other services Tietze offers. Super impressed, will definitely refer tietze to family and friends due to the service, price, and responsiveness. 5 star experience, and want to say thank you to tietze!

Aaron was very professional and did a great job! He was very upfront with pricing and explained what he would be doing and if/why there would be an additional coat for the repair needed. It was a very pleasant experience and will definitely call Tietze again for any plumbing issues in the future!

Josh thoroughly explained the work to me before he got started and let me know the cost up front. Very fair price, and the work was performed expertly and efficiently. Josh was polite, well-mannered and appropriately attired. Tietze sent a photo of the service provider prior to his arrival, which was also much appreciated.

Our technician Eric Guerrero from Tietze Plumbing, Heating and Air was amazing! He was friendly and resolved our plumbing issue very quickly. He then went an extra step and checked the water pressure and discovered it was high and adjusted it. He was very thorough and professional!! Thank you!

We recently needed our whole house plumbing redone due to multiple foundation leaks. We worked with Robert at Tietze plumbing who was professional and super communicative regarding my repairs. Our technician Eric G was knowledgeable, professional, and paid attention to detail. We were very fortunate to have him work on our plumbing system which was a complex job. Eric took the time to explain what he was doing each day and also answered all of our questions. We appreciate all of the assistance and work. Eric did an amazing job! Dylan did a great job installing a replacement hot water heater. He thoroughly answered all of my questions before and during the process and ensured the warranty on the old unit was honored. He walked me through the completed installation and made sure I understood the new controls and settings. Very nice and knowledgeable.

This is the second set of work they have done for me the first being a whole house replumb due to aging pipes. Excellent service both times.

My wife heard water running outside our house when she got home from picking up our son. I was able to shut off the main to stop the leak but couldn't see where is was coming from. I dug up the spot then next morning and found the leak. Since this was the main line into the house we were without water over night. So I called a plumber service but they told me they might not be able to make it out as they had a full day. I still put in my request. Needing this done today I called 1st Call Plumbing and first thing I asked was time frame. They told me they had a plumber near me that was just finishing up and could be right over. This was great. Justin showed up and I showed him the hole and told him where the leak was coming from. He gave me a quote, which was reasonable and I approved. Justin and his helper got to work and in about 30ish mins I had water again. They replaced the section where the leak was and put in a nice new lever valve instead of the PVC ball valve that was there.

Great work, friendly and fast. I'd use them again if I had another need for plumbing services. Thanks guys!!

I mean, how better can I say that the service I got was top shelf. The timing was right, your plumbers came through in less than 30 minutes. Not only did I get the repair we needed done but also, invested in a new water heater to replace our out dated one. I would expect now our water bill to be back to normal rather supper high as it been. JJ and Jacob make a great team, The "J" team. I'll be using 1st Call in the future and recommend yall to others. Our new water heater is a beast. Outstanding work deserves good credit so much thanks.
