I told them my latch was broken. I was quoted $900 to repair. I removed the latch and ordered a new one for $9.99 and a new lock mechanism for $32. I paid them $129 for diagnosis even though I already knew the diagnosis. Should have saved the $129 and fixed myself. Took literally less than a minute to remove each component.

We’ve had three appointments and our dryer still didn’t get fixed. Ended up buying a new one because they wanted to charge us again for the repair they didn’t fix in the first place

Robert was great - arrived as scheduled and repaired the icemaker.
* On a separate note, I was NOT notified that my scheduled appointment for Friday Dec. 20 was cancelled.
** On a third note on your many emails to ask if I wanted to reschedule or cancel my appointment it would have been nice to have a CONFIRM APPOINTMENT OPTION as a button.
Have a great Holiday Season! -
He did a great job; however, Sears customer service is horrible, because you can't get a live person to talk to. There is only 5 or 6 questions to choose from that didn't come close to me getting an answer. I was at the end of my rope, and was about to cancel when he showed up. He came back today, and completed the job. You need more people like him, and you need to give him a raise, because nowadays people don't want to work. He is a dependable employee. Thumbs up!

Robert was really helpful in diagnosing a refrigerant leak in our icemaker, determining that it was under warranty and explaining how to get in touch with the manufacturer. The fee we paid for the diagnosis will ultimately save us a lot of money!!

Nice, friendly gentleman diagnosed the issue with my fryer. He was thorough and knowledgeable even though my decision was to replace the machine. Thank you for your patient diagnosis of my issue.

5 stars! Our tech was awesome! Thank you!

The technician was very nice and professional, but the service call was later than the scheduled service window. I had a conflicting appointment and had to turn him away at the door. I will hire Sears again.

$139 for a (literal) 2 minute assessment to tell me my dishwasher can’t be fixed! It took me longer to pull out my credit card than it did for him to do the assessment. SMH. There must be a way to text a technician the serial number and describe the issue before coming out. At least they can say, “nope no replacement parts available to fix your issue.” (That’s what my other appliance guy did!) I could have used the $139 towards a new dishwasher.

I called Sears Home Services back in December 2024 on my 9 month old Maytag Washer that quit working. I was told when I called the place where I bought it that it is not under warranty to call someone who will repair it. So I called Sears Appliance Repair. When the technician came I was told they need to order a part which cost $556.63 with labor. I put it on my credit card. In January when the part came, a different technician came out and after 40 minutes said this part is too new for my washer. Which confused me because I had bought this washer earlier that year new. So he said he could refund me my money. He took the part with him and left. Today, is April 14, 2025 and I still have not received my refund. I have called and spoken to someone 6 different times asking where is my refund. I keep getting the exact same response. They have to send it over to see why it is taken so long. My last phone call to them, I told them that I think they are a fraud company taking people's money and scamming everyone. I told them all the red flags that I saw but didn't listen. I called my credit card company and unfortunately, they told me since they don't know exactly where the refund is coming from, I am basically SOL! So now I want to warn everyone before you use them - think twice!! They were more interested in trying to sell me a home warranty plan that I pay monthly than repairing the one item I was calling on. The home warranty plan was an outstanding price that was so high that a normal home warranty plan would be so much cheaper. This is such a fraud and scam company!!!STAY AWAY!! I really didn't want to give any star to them!

Amazing service from my technician Gary. He was very professional and knowledgeable about my appliance and he gave great advice would recommend to anyone.

Both technicians involved with my repair (diagnostic and actual repair) were excellent. They set clear expectations of the work and timeline and communicated efficiently with me.

Our technician was great- the Sears prices are terrible. To fix our washing machine (which you can get for $700 new) it was going to cost us over $500. Sears puts a serious upcharge on the part and then the labor fee was over $300. They tell you the $129 diagnostic fee will go towards the repair but they really just add it into the labor cost if you do use them to repair. Ridiculous.

He was friendly and knowledgeable considering the repair that needed to be done, explained the problem quickly and efficiently.

First Sears tech fixed the fridge light problem but went bad again after he left. When asked to have tech come back a different one came and told me it would be around $700 dollars to do a complete test. Told him for that amount I would just order a new fridge. He did not even remove the led light to see if the wire the first tech did might have came loose. I payed the fee for the tech to come here but was not happy after paying $179 and problem still not fixed.

Ai only booking and scheduling. When I said I wanted a live representative to speak to, I was told by a robot theres no living person available to speak with and schedule with.
I said I have bad experiences with AI in the past and want a live representative.
If they won't employ real people to speak to, I will not be using their services. -
Alex was great. Better if Sears gave you half a day window of service, instead of 8a-5p.

I am happy that James was diligent to seek out the cause of problem, so he gets 5 stars! Sadly, the needed part is no longer available since refrigerator is 20+ years old.
I received too many reminders of upcoming repair appointments, which made it that much more frustrating when Sears canceled it ON the scheduled day. At least repair was not urgent: cooling and freezing functions still work. -
Schedule a repair, no one showed up. Automation only allowed for reschedule without any explanation saying my appointment was in the past. Rescheduled. Before the second time window even ended, I got a text saying they couldn’t make it and to reschedule. Third appointment someone finally came. The technician was so good he earned 5 stars himself. Even though I was told a part was ordered he didn’t have the part in stock though. $480 repair pre paid to go through the automated process again… no thanks. Paid the $125 diagnostic fee and still left with a broken washing machine. Just going to YouTube it and fix it myself. Or find someone else to call because I’m not doing that again.
