Very pleased with the AC replacement from Burkhart. I found their technicians, Aaron, Dean, and Jacob, to be very knowledgeable and professional. Jacob had performed the troubleshooting on what was an extremely old AC unit on the roof of the condo complex. Elliot provided me an accurate, good-faith estimate of the job. Aaron and Dean carried out the installation of the new AC and were able to complete the job in 6 hours despite the complexity of the installation.

Brian was very thorough, professional and informative! For these reasons we would definitely choose this company again!

Keith brought in and installed a new 40 gal hot water heater a day early. He was very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend him for any future plumbing jobs.

Mostly positive interactions and results from the staff and tech services that have been out to our home. But, we were given a complimentary check-up on our system. As the technician was scheduled, I confirmed with the main office that servicing our entire system (both A/C and furnace) was included in the complimentary service, she had reaffirmed that inquiry. But when the technician finished the work, I was charged.. Not exactly the most consistent communication to their clients. When I called to request clarification, I never received a call back.

Please note: Yesterday, I posted a review that I had written TWO YEARS AGO for services I received from Burkhardt Heating & Cooling, but found that that review had just been sitting there UNPOSTED for 2-years.

Today, I'm posting a review for the HVAC services I received from Burkhardt on April 27th, 2023.

Early in 2023, Burkhardt Heating & Cooling presented a new annual home HVAC-Maintenance package that could be paid for in 12-interest free monthly installments. This maintenance plan was not only significantly cheaper than than the former lump-sum plan, but it also included several types of additional discounts that were previously only available through occasional coupons.

This new plan (which includes Spring & Fall Cooling & heating checkups) is, in itself--in my opinion---a FIVE STAR+ benefit that Burkhardt offers!!

I had my first 2023 checkup of my cooling system on April 27th by Burkhardt, under this new plan. The technicians arrived punctually, were jovial & friendly, and spent nearly an hour making sure that not only my air conditioner was working properly, but that the entire A/C-supporting system was in good health!

The techs were highly-skilled, knowledgeable, and professional, and went out of their way to ensure that everything was in working order. They found dust accumulating on the fan of the blower motor, and offered a device that I could purchase that would greatly reduce that dust accumulation--so as extend the life of my HVAC system 3-4 years beyond its 10-year projected life-span!! They did not try to hard sell me, or pressure me into making the purchase, but simply presented it as a suggestion. I asked them if there were any discounts that could be applied to the purchase. They found THREE DISCOUNTS (including a Veterans discount), which so significantly reduced the cost of purchase & installation, that I purchased it on the spot!

I have found Burkhardt Heating & Cooling so honorable, honest, reliable, professional and friendly--from the front office to the field--that they deserve a FIVE STAR+++ rating!!

Our sewer lateral line backed up through a basement floor drain. I called a drain-cleaning company that I had used before, but the technician couldn't clear the clog. So I called Burkhardt. The technician who came to our house, Derek, was professional and courteous and very conscientious about not leaving a mess behind. He was equipped with a high-end RIDGID cable drain-cleaning machine, which was significantly newer and much more powerful than the drain machine used by the prior technician. Derek cleared the line in about 20 minutes. Thanks, Derek!

Our air conditioner went out, so I called Burkhardt. I am very glad that I did. One of their representatives, Elliot, came out the same day I called to take a look at our air conditioner. He was very thorough in his assessment. When it looked like our best option was to replace the furnace and the air conditioner (both of our units were nearly 25 years old), he ran through multiple options for us and didn't just try to sell us the most expensive option. Elliot was very trustworthy and we felt extremely comfortable with our options and the choice we made in the end. Elliot had a good sense of humor and we appreciated the fact that he treated us genuinely well, and was not just trying to make a sale. Because I had called on a Friday, the installation was going to be the next week, so Elliot took it upon himself to troubleshoot our air conditioner problem to try to get us through the very hot weekend. (He saw that we have 2 small children and he wanted to make sure we were as comfortable over the weekend as possible until we had our new appliances installed.) He even gave us his personal cellphone number and told us that if our a/c went out again over the weekend, he would walk us through the steps to get it working again.
We were able to schedule an installation for our new furnace and air conditioner for the following week, which was great to get it taken care of so soon. The team that did the installation (Troy, Marc and Joe) were fantastic as well - they showed up on time and were very respectful of the property. They finished earlier than anticipated and really left their working area just as if not cleaner than when they arrived. Troy, Marc and Joe were all very personable and were able to answer my questions throughout the installation process.
Overall, my wife and I are extremely happy with the service we received from the Burkhardt team. We strongly recommend them if you or anyone you know is having a heating or cooling issue.

New A/C and furnace installed 5/16

2 weeks ago my husband called & explained our plumbing problem which was a broken faucet in the shower. Burkhardt sent someone out who told my husband they were not qualified to fix that problem. Today he took off of work again & NO ONE CAME! They didn't e-mail him until 5:00 to say they would come tomorrow. I don't think so. We are going with someone else more responsible. I wish I could give a zero stars because that is what they did for us.

Had AC stop cooling in July. They came out right on schedule and tested everything. I have an older unit but I just bought the house and wasn't prepared to get a new one just yet. The technician worked with me and topped the refrigerant off, checked for leaks, and made sure i was back up and running. Still running good today. He was very nice and was very good with my puppy. Thanks!

Excellent service! After the heavy trains in Milwaukee I encountered a few inches of damage which knocked out my pilot light. There was a chance that it was damaged beyond repair. The serviceman did a great job and actually was able to get it lit. He was honest in telling me that it is old and maybe has a few years of that, gave me a quote for when it’s time to replace. I will be calling Burkhardt when it’s time to replace it.

Dan and Tae installed our new combi boiler. It took 3 days, they were very thorough and knowledgeable. They were very polite and had great communication. I would definitely recommend them for any service.

We had to call for emergency service on a Saturday and Danny responded quickly and worked very hard to get our heat back up and running on a very cold 12 degree day. Thank you for the awesome service!

10:30pm on a Friday night I came home to a basement waterfall that shouldn’t have existed and a 3-inch indoor pool on my basement floor I never wanted. A crimped portion of pipe used to install a temporary shower during a home remodel had failed (see picture). Chris B. answered my panicked call at 10:45pm. He answered my questions respectfully, looked at my texted pictures of the problem, told me the likely fix and associated cost and scheduled an appointment for the next day. He came within the timeframe he told me he would. Gave me a courtesy call 25 minutes before arrival. Did the work effectively and efficiently. He helped make a truly bad situation into a manageable one. The price felt very fair, especially considering it was a weekend emergency. The work looks great. I will be saving his number for future plumbing/heating/air conditioning projects. Truly a relief to find an excellent, kind, and respectful professional in a world where they are seemingly few and far between. Thank you, Chris!

James and Chiko were so easy to work with. They were friendly, nice and explained everything to me as this was my first time replacing any big units at my house. I would highly recommend them, great company to work with! Thanks for everything

Our 19 year old furnace decided to call it quits right before the winter vortex, we were able to get the guys at burkhardt to come check out the old one the day after we called, then get a brand new one installed the next day! Installation was quick from Connor and Chiko! The two were polite, knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions! Furnace has been in now for a week and is working great. Would definitely recommend their services. Thank you Burkhardt!

We had a wonderful experience working with Burkhardt Heating from the time we called the office staff for service till the job was complete. Office staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our service technician Alex was excellent exceeded expectations.

Danny came out to check my furnace and AC. He was amazing! He took the time to explain everything to me. He showed me pictures of everything and made recommendations for what to fix and when. He was also great with my cat!

Honest company! Have a leak from main water source. Unfortunately they do not do this type of repair. Jim was awesome in helping explain to another company what the issue is. I would recommend this company

I'm so sorry this review is very late! I think it's been 2 months now since we've had the new furnace and I am extremely happy. We recently purchased a new home and we knew we'd need a new furnace soon. We turned it on and it was making horrible noises and was filthy and I just had a bad feeling about it. I didn't want it to go out in the middle of winter!

I looked around Google for a reputable company that has been in business for a long time and came across Burkhardt. I gave them a call to have them come take a look at the old furnace- it was going to be $175 I think? Horston called us back and told us based on the photos of the home inspection and my description of what was going on and its age, it would be best to just get a new furnace and save us the $175 on them coming out there just to tell us that.

We wanted something that was a little bit better than the standard model so he suggested the Armstrong Professional that has a better heat exchanger material which was my primary concern. It wasn't much more expensive in the long run and he got us financing right away on the phone and an appointment next day to install it!

Connor and Chiko were the guys to come install and they were extremely friendly and professional and kind. All in all it took about 5 hours to install. The thing is much smaller than our old clunky furnace and we can't even tell when it comes on. It's great! Our gas bill has been really nice too as this thing is like 99% efficient or something lol but anyway I just wanted to thank the whole team! You guys rock! The 2 years interest-free with monthly payments has been really nice!
