Appliance Repair reviews in Mesa, Arizona
-
Update: after nine months of getting nowhere with Goldwing, I contacted the appliance company directly. They sent out a tech who diagnosed the problem in under twenty minutes, took a trip to *Home Depot* to purchase a common part (fuse I think) and had the microwave up and running in under an hour total. Seriously, Goldwing left me hanging for NINE months. Over a Home Depot part and a 20 minute fix.
After two different technicians and five months, my appliance that broke less than 1 year after purchase remains broken. Neither tech was able to diagnose the problem. They do not follow up on parts on order, do not provide updates and are unresponsive. What a scam. -
This company flubbed the dates of parts being ordered and has now canceled/rescheduled our repair appointment three times now due to their mistakes or their people calling out, postponing it by at least a week each time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Unreliable. It is now Valentines Day and we have not had a working oven since before last Thanksgiving. We feel like we have been given the absolute runaround.

They completely forgot an appointment I made a month ago. They had come out to fix the broken rack on our 2 year old Kitchen Aid Dishwasher. The placement of the dishwasher as it was sitting crooked due to new flooring install and we asked the tech if he could fix that. He became very argumentative and communicated poorly. We scheduled him to come back to do that work. He came back and fixed that issue another time. The next day I noticed now the handle was loose, seemed as if it happened in the course of his repair. I called immediately and was told I would have to wait about a month for someone to come back out. Today was the day. No one showed up. I called. The woman who answered the phone claimed we had only had a person out here once and she didn’t see an appointment for us. As we were trying to explain the course of events, in a calm professional manner, she became rude and hung up! Then I called back and she immediately put me on hold. Handle is still loose on a 2 year old $1,200 dishwasher that was not loose before their tech did work. I do not recommend this company.

Be aware that this company is called now Best Appliance Service which follows the same poor customer service as the original company. I was told that Goldwin was bought by Best Appliance Service but I think is tht same company and due to so many bad reviews they changed their name to Best Appliance Service. Please stay away from this company. When buying warranty through the retail store make sure you verify they are not working with Best Appliance Service... It's anything but best.

Spencer’s should really reconsider who they partner with. This company is the worst! I purchased a Maytag washing machine not even 2 years ago and it is useless. Maytag you should be ashamed of what you sell!!!!!!!! When Goldwing finally called me to schedule a time to come “look” I was told they couldn’t diagnose the problem because the washer is too new!! I was told the error codes needed to be researched. This would normally be understandable but I provided the error codes ahead of time and you would think someone would have read the ticket before coming out! Waste of my time and theirs to come out and “look”. The person that came out was not clean, was not nice, and complained about being on hold with Maytag. Rating their customer service is ridiculous because it should be a zero! Days later, we’re waiting on parts. Do not use this company and Spencer’s start thinking about your customers!!!

I've called Goldwing the last five years to fix my Fridgidaire refrigerator, they still haven't fixed the problem! They charge me every time for a call out ($129), 5 times plus parts and labor. Over $200 each time!!! I'm going with some one else, but first I'm calling ROC!!!
-
Charge money to come out and tell you a repair is the same price as a new appliance. Tell me sooner its not worth it. Then they tell ME to call the manufacturer and try to arrange they send the parts and then he’ll repair. I used to like Spencer’s, but after they recommended this repair company….I may just steer clear.
-
I would agree with others -- worst appliance repair company ever. Forced to use them through Centurion Warranty which was sold to me by Spencer's Appliance. Not only do they take for ever to get you scheduled, but their MO is to have their tech call the morning of the service visit to tell you what 4 hour time period they can show up in. This is the most ridiculous and disrespectful scenario I have seen for repair services. For working folks, makes it impossible to schedule. After all that, they came out and said they needed to order a part for our washing machine which they then claimed can take up to 2 weeks to get. After 3 days, I called and after 3-4 hours of attempts finally got through to someone who refused to transfer me to parts department. I looked up the part on the LG website and LG would have shipped it same day if ordered by 3 pm. Goldwing said they order it from a parts dealer and it can take them 2 weeks and then they'll try to schedule our return visit to replace it. Utterly ridiculous and useless for a $100 part.
My wife and I decided to bail and we went out to Lowes this past Saturday and bought a new washing machine (ours only lasted 5 years), which was delivered next day.
They should have their license revoked. Shame on them! -
Update... I'm still waiting and it has now been 8 months. They say it is a supply chain issue based on the manufacturers end. But why did I pay for a warranty through them if they can't make a repair happen at all? At this point just replace the entire washer for me. Wow.
I've been waiting more than 4 months for my washer to be fixed. When they were 1st out here 3 months ago they didn't replace the lid as they should. Only cleared the error code. When the error happened again I had to call them back and wait for 2 weeks to even get a tech out here, am now waiting for a part. The company never reaches out to me, I always have to call and ask for a status update. Even after I'm told that someone will follow up with me. -
Bought my Samsung refrigerator from Spencer’s and unfortunately this is the warranty company they use. Called because the ice maker stopped producing ice, had to wait almost 2 weeks for the initial visit (plenty of time for them to order one). Instead they came and just took a picture of the model number and said they would order one that would take 7-10 weeks. I could have given them that information over the phone and they could have showed up with the part knowing I reported it not working. How are they still in business with such bad reviews is beyond me. Stay away if you could!

If I could give -10000 stars I would!! This is an absolutely terrible company. Never buying from Spencer’s again specifically because of them. I bought a brand new washer and it broke after three months. I’ve wait two months for my washer to be fixed and the parts “to come in”. They couldn’t even give me an ETA on when and where the are. Terrible rude people on the phone who blatantly lie to you. Only reason they’re still in business is because they get it for free from Spencer’s. Do yourself a favor and call the manufacturer or your appliance and get it fixed from them. They came and fixed my washer in 3 days! Never seen such terrible work or customer service. And looking at the reviews they do this to everyone

There is very little that I can add to the comments that are here already this is just a horrible company.
I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because the technician that eventually came out and repaired my dishwasher was very cordial and got the job done.
The problem with this company is their scheduling, the way they order parts, the lack of communication.
To be told that it takes two weeks to figure out when a part will arrive after its ordered is just absurd.
And being told that some people must wait six months is obviously supposed to make me feel better? HUH?
After waiting one month from my original call for the part to arrive and be scheduled to be repaired I was told the day that it was supposed to be fixed (at 10 am that day!) that they'd have to reschedule for the following week. Fortunately after several threats and yelling they kowtowed and sent someone out to fix the dishwasher on the scheduled day.
It's unfortunate that a very good company like Spencer's is associated with Goldwing. Because Spencer's does a great job. -
The only reason I gave 2 stars is the person who fixed our frig was awesome. No that being said the office staff I am sorry they are horrible. I am in Customer Care myself and the lack of communication with this company is horrible. I would be fired if I did what they do. They DON'T ever call you for anything or call you back time and time again. It took 5 weeks to get the part to fix my frig. Not till the part was in (5 weeks later) did they ever call me. I ALWAYS called them and they said they would call me back with an ETA about 5 times and NEVER got one. I was without my frig for 6 weeks, that is not except bale in this day and age. Their phones are horrible as most of the time you can't get a hold of anyone and they don't seem to really care. I will not be buying any extending warranty if they are involved or use them in the future for any help. :-(

Wow! Horrible, horrible, horrible....I first placed a repair order back in Sept. '22 after owning my Spencers purchased a Samsung dishwasher for about 2 months. The upper rack kept falling out. I called Goldwing, the Spencers recommended repair company they gave me a two week wait for a tech, the tech came and I waited another 2.5 months for the part (they're quick to tell you it's a supply chain problem). The part came in and I waited another 2 weeks for the appointment. About a month later the rack started falling out again so I started this process all over. This time I called in January '23, they put me on another 2 week wait for a tech, the tech came out and said the rails were missing the stops that keep it from popping out. He ordered the parts and 3 months later I was still waiting for the parts. When I called them each time they said it was a supply chain issue and they would call me as soon as they were in.
Each time I have called Goldwing they treated me like I was a total inconvenience.
I was sooooo tired of it at this point I called Samsung direct....Samsung had a tech out 2 days later and the parts in 3 days after that. With Goldwing I've spent a total of 7 out of the 9 months I've owned the dishwasher waiting on either their first available tech appointment or the combined 5 months waiting on parts. I called Goldwing to cancel my work order and they quite literally did not care the reason why I was cancelling....absolutely horrible service.
Call Samsung directly.....they actually care about satisfying you. They resolved my 7 month Goldwing Appliance Repair ordeal in less than a week. -
Appliance first broke and it took 2 weeks to get anyone to even come look at it. Then, I was told by the tech that the parts were in stock, and that he should be able to come out the next week to fix it. That week came and went and no phone call or visit. I called Goldwing to check in and they stated that the parts were in fact not in stock and they had no idea when the parts would come in. Fast forward 2 months later and many, manyphone calls, I finally was told the parts had come in and we scheduled an appointment to finally fix our broken Microwave. The tech showed up and made the repairs quickly. We left out of town that next day and never actually used the microwave. Came back from vacation and opened the door and the top trim piece fell down and was clearly broken... I called Goldwing back out to repair what they had broke, guess what? Another 2 weeks to get anyone out to look at it... tech came out, said he'd order the parts to repair (what he broke) and now the wait was on... It took nearly 6 MONTHS to get ONE piece of trim. Absolutely ridiculous, I had to initiate every phone call and update. After many months and many more phone calls, someone decided they should actually look in to why it was taking so long for one piece to arrive. I get a phone call the next day saying they didn't know why I was calling asking about the piece, when I already had an appointment (that I never made or was aware of) scheduled to install the following week. The guy I had talked to the day before made no mention of the part being in.
This business is as disorganized as they come. I will never do business with them again and suggest anyone who would actually like their appliances to be repaired in a timely fashion to steer clear as well. -
Had a scheduled warranty appt to fix the dryer purchased at Spencers. Had the most horrific experience with a technician named Steve. We were insulted and cursed at and the horrible man did not even attempt to fix the dryer belt that was screaching like a stuck pig!. He tried to intimidate us by saying if we called again, they would charge us. It is pretty clear that Steve represents the type of person this company hires to go into people's homes. We called the manager Dino 3 times and he says Steve has never had a problem in 20 years. Which is obviously why this technician was so brazen with his shocking behavior. I strongly recommend shopping anywhere but Spencers because they force you to use this horrible company for warranty repairs. Who runs a company this way? Steve will curse at you and try to intimidate you. He is a soft bully, but Dino will back whatever Steve tells him to, so maybe they are "real close" I don't know. Steer clear of these clowns to avoid a horrible experience!

UPDATE 12/27/2023: They are even worse than I originally posted. They came out today and said it was not the parts, in fact it was a hole that just needed to be fixed with silicone. They cancelled our appointment last week AFTER WE CALLED THEM, because they needed two technicians for our dishwasher. Turns out, 2 techs to fill a hole with silicone.
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. If you buy appliances from Spencer's DO NOT BUY THE WARRANTY... this is the company they use for warranty service.
Original post:
I may update this later but so far this has been an awful experience. Using them due to Spencer's warranty and they are in no hurry. Repair man came out didn't touch dishwasher, said he would order parts based on our phone call from 2 weeks earlier. Why didn't they just order parts when we called? They finally got parts and can come out next week. Its been 6 weeks.
They aren't able to set a schedule just a date and you will get a phone call that morning with a time window. Everyone in my household works. All around so far, would not recommend this place. Based on other reviews... I can tell its not just me. -
If you can go with the warranty repair from the manufacturing company, please please do. I almost never leave bad reviews, but we're not going to Spencer's or using Goldwing ever again. This company has been horrendous. We bought our dishwasher last June and 6 months later realized it had a defect that was slowly flooding our kitchen. They came out quickly and easily diagnosed the problem, but the part was back-ordered. After 3 months of calling to hear when we might get it fixed and hearing "we don't know - it's backordered," it finally arrived and they said "oh yeah it arrived, let me get you scheduled." They couldn't come for 2 weeks (a long time) and then they called the day before and rescheduled for over a month away without any explanation. We pushed to have them do better or send out someone else but they wouldn't budge. Now we got to our repair day again and they called this morning to let us know it's postponed another 3 weeks because "it's a big repair." I don't know if we'll ever get our dishwasher back. It's been over 5 months waiting for Goldwing to do their job! And we bought it less than a year ago!
Update: after my wife refused to be put off again, manager Sean pulled strings to get it fixed this week. He was very kind and apologetic. I can’t change my 1-star review, but thankful they are finally taking care of us. -
This is the most disorganized company I have ever worked with. My dishwasher has had EVERY part replaced by them in the last 6 months and they still won't approve a warranty replacement of the DW. They take over 6 weeks to order and receive parts, then put you on the schedule. It's obvious that with 1.7 stars and no one talks about them trying to improve their experience that they don't care about their customers. The Tech is great, the company is terrible. I am at their mercy because of Spencer's. Tried calling Spencer's 3 times to have them help and they don't do anything either. Call a different repair company!!
-
If I could leave zero stars I would. Did not use this company the second time by choice as it was a warranty issue. First time was also warranty issue. Bought our appliances from Spencer’s and the first month our washer broke, two months out dryer broke. It took goldwing 9 months to finish the repair on the washer, shorter on dryer.
Then back in January our 1 year old microwave breaks, the warranty makes us use this company. They came out in February to diagnose 3 weeks after the call. They’re there for 10 min and left. Never heard back from them. We called to get and update and was told they would call back. 2 weeks later we call again. Same story, 3 weeks later we call again. This time they tell us parts will be here on April 21. Never heard so call again today. 4/25 and they are completely rude to my wife and tell her the parts won’t be here until 5-22. Really? 4 months to get parts? Not to mention they are guessing at what’s wrong. Absolutely the worst. If this is the only thing Spencer’s offers, I will never purchase there again!
Update: 8/14
Still not repaired.. still same run around.. call twice a week and keep getting told they are waiting on parts. Unbelievable!!
DO NOT BOTHER! -
Worst repair and warranty service ever. we filed our claim in February of this year and at the beginning of December Spencer's finally just gave us a credit to get a new washer. The office has horrible customer Service. The repair person did not show up Three times and a forth time went to the wrong address. They supposedly ordered parts and call to come out when the part was there and then call back to reschedule because the parts were not there all of the sudden . The manager never returned calls or addressed any concerns. when purchasing our new washer we did not buy the extended warranty because I never want the stress of dealing with Goldwing ever again!
