They did a great job installing a new ac/ heater unit! They started work the next day to save us from hot days. Super detailed with their work. They took their time and went the extra mile for our family. Mark even checked the wiring in our thermostat to get it working properly. Best pricing we could find!

Great service. Mark was really helpful and knowledgeable. I thought I had to replace my whole system but Mark and James found the problem ( bad capacitor) and saved me literally thousands. Our experience with A Five Star Heating and Cooling with Mark and James was excellent all the way around. We had an extremely high estimate (over two times the price) from a well-known company that also was very high pressured into trying to get us to make a commitment the same day to a schedule an install date the same date they came for their estimate. Mark put our mind to ease with the estimate from his company. Their work was top notch, and they were super great to work with. They both have great personalities, are extremely hard workers, and great to have in your home. We would highly recommend A Five Star Heating and Cooling to anyone needing a new HVAC system or repairs needed to their HVAC system.

Mark and his team were fantastic! They gave me a 3-hour service window and arrived immediately. Mark was incredibly thorough, walking me through each step of the troubleshooting process and making sure I understood what was happening. They were respectful of my home, considerate of my dog, and maintained a professional yet friendly demeanor the entire time. Best of all, they had my AC up and running quickly. I couldn’t be happier with the service—highly recommend!

Mark came out a quick two hours after I called and accurately diagnosed the problem which was traced down to the control board of our furnace. Luckily we had a backup board (it’s an old unit) and Mark took the time to dig into that mess of wires and install it. Powered up the system and all was running as it should be. He was also very patient dealing with our high-strung dog who insisted on barking the entire time Mark was working. Thanks Mark! Highly recommend!

Mark Sanders and Five Star Heating is an amazing company. They have been working on my AC and heater for years. Whenever I have a problem, Mark always comes out that same day! He is honest reliable and does a fantastic job.

Mark came the next day after I called, even though it was a small job. The furnace exhaust pipe was disconnected from the exterior vent. I could have tried to fix it myself but was concerned it could be a safety issue. He was super helpful, and very sharp, was able to fix the problem immediately, and even offered to go on the roof to address another unrelated issue where we needed some sealant on the fireplace cap. He had an incredible amount of tools and equipment in his truck, had exactly what was needed, and was able to take care of it with ease. It was obvious he had a ton of experience and skill. I plan to have this company back in the future when we have any trouble or need a new system.

Mark saved us thousands of dollars by honestly inspecting our heater. Another contractor led us to believe that we had a crack in our heater, it was leaking gas, and we needed to buy a new system. After Marks inspection he asked us to call PG&E to verify what he told us. PG&E verified that our heater was in good condition and there were no leaks.

From now on he is our Heating and Air contractor.

This is how a business should be. Mark and James maintained our AC/Heat for the first time and will keep them on speed dial. They are honest and thorough with repairs and upgrades during the whole process with fine detail.
